The blog for books and movies

The 39 Clues centres around the Cahills—the most powerful family the world has ever known.

The source of its power is a mystery that can only be unraveled by assembling 39 clues hidden around the world throughout history.

The spellbinding first book (Book #1: The Maze of Bones, September 2008), by Rick Riordan,

author of the New York Times bestselling Percy Jackson series, will be followed by a team of best-selling and acclaimed authors,

including Gordon Korman (Book #2, January 2009), Peter Lerangis (Book #3, April 2009), and Jude Watson (Book #4, July 2009).

Additional authors and publication dates for subsequent titles will be announced at a later date.

I liked this book, it wasn’t my favourite book out of all his books. It had a good storyline, something that is very catchy! It has good characters and it’s parts very thought out. I chose not to read the rest of the books because it never really caught me and it wasn’t a genre of books I read… but I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good mystery! 7/10!

The 39 clues series is one of the best things i have read. Just before Grace Cahill died she changed her will, leaving her relatives a decision: “You have a choice – one million dollars or a clue.” In the series the relatives that have chosen to go in a challenge go around the world in search for the 39 clues. The 39 Clues are centred around the Cahills—the most powerful family the world has ever known. The source of its power is a mystery that can only be solved by assembling 39 clues hidden around the world throughout history. This i sone of my favourite books to read. My favourite part of the series is that in each book they go to a whole new different place in search or a clue. My favourite character is amy because she is an older sister like me and is very smart. Also along the journey there are many betrayals of family members. They just have to remember ‘trust no one’. I would recommend this book for all ages and especially if you love adventure books and mysterys.
I would rate this book 10/10 because i loved the series so much.

  3. The Maze of Bones is a fantastic book and I also recommend the series of The 39 Clues. Minutes before Grace Cahill died she changed her will, leaving her descendants an impossible decision: “You have a choice – one million dollars or a clue.” In the series they have to race to find 39 clues against their other family members they have to travel around the world and to find the strongest power in the world. My favourite character was Amy because she is very smart and she figures out a lot of the problems. I don’t have a least favourite part because it was filled with everything like problems betrayal and much more. I would recommend this book to all ages especially if you love mystery books.
I would rate this book 8/10

  10. I got this book one year ago and read it twice since. I love it because it sounds so true(but it isn’t). It is so creative and each book is written by a different auther which makes it all the more interesting. Not only is there the book for you to read. There is also a website that you play games and find out what branch you came from(Lucians,Tomas, Ekaterinas and Janus). These also game card packs that you can by and this is all set up for you to help you find the 39clues!
The book is about a very large faimly that has rich, famous relatives all over the world. That is so cool! But when the very very rich grandma who is called Grace Chahill dies she gives all of faimly a huge choice to make.
To either take one million dollers or to set yourself on a wonderful mission to collect the 39clues. Most of the relatives choose the money and make a run for it. But the very brave one choose the frist to the 39 clues. that only leaves 38 to be fand so hury theres about 300,000 other people trying to find them. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

  11. I recommend a series called the 39 clues. The 39 clues is an international competition ( seriously ) involving about 10 different countries. The competition has been created by scholastic aimed at people aged from 6 to 14 years old who are within that age limit in 2008. The concept is entirely fictional but is based on a series of 10 books that are each to be written by a different author and they are coming out every 3 months or so. Currently book 4 will be coming out in June. The book has lots – tons about history in them. Its about this secret family – the cahills and they have relatives all over the world . So think of everyone ever famous – Benjamin Franklin , George Washington , Pablo Picasso , Miley cyrus ,Cate Blanchete anyone and all these people are part of this secret family. Now this family is separated into 4 branches Lucians, Tomas, Ekaterinas and Janus each are rivals to each other. When this old lady (Grace Cahill) dies all these people come to her funeral and in her video she says you can take 1 million dollars and walk away or you can take the first of a series of 39 clues So this is the beggining of an amazing story of a secret family, two orphans , one crazy teenage nanny and 39 clues.
This is also an online game – By scholastic where you can find your 39 clues and once you sign up you are racing against other students in australia to be the first to find the 39 clues. This competition has prizes of up to $10,000. I recommend this to anyone who oves a bit of humor , History action – cliffhangers and some competition.
