Mao’s Last Dancer demonstrates the hardships of nightmares and weaknesses as well as the good times like the kind hearted people and their qualities. Li has been through a lot throughout his life and it is so amazing to look back on and think of the incredible things he has accomplished in such a short time period. I loved studying him in english classes in year 7!

  2. i really enjoyed Maoโ€™s last dancer, my favourite part was when Li stood up to teacher Gao it was a really inspiring part of the movie. my favourite character is Li because he is the main character and he is so humble and nice and you could never not like him. i cant relate to anyone from the book. my least favourite part was when one of the teachers kept calling Li names because you shouldnโ€™t talk to students that way cause they are always trying there hardest. i would change about the movie, it should be the same as the book so them you can get a perspective on what the book is about and you can see the images. yes i would recommend this book to others because it is about one manโ€™s bravery and resilience in conquering hardship.

I thought this movie was inspirational from a unprivileged boy to then an amazing ballerina. Li had a difficult childhood. He grew up in a small unhealthy town in china and growing up he came from an underprivileged family. With help and guidance from his family Li finds himself enrolled in a school local to his town and it opened up many opportunities for him and his future. Li was fortunately luck enough to be one of the two selected to train and study ballet at the Beijing Dance Academy. His big chance to shine came when he was staying with a producer of a ballet production the lead ballerina got injured and the only stand in available was li. Li decided to stay in America and he was banned from going back to china. This moving made me emotional and sad and Li didn’t deserve any of the hardships thrown at him. I would rate it a 7.5/10 because sometimes it was hard to understand and I feel the book was better.

from a poor boy who changed his stars and became a super ballerina. This movie was so sad and showed me how sad it is over seas.
this movie was a story about a young boy called li, li when he was young was chosen to go in ballerina development squad. He went through pain- heart brake- and exhausting challenges. Li was told that he was to week- that he couldn’t be a ballerina- that he had no help – after he trained and trained and trained some more he was chosen to go to america. His big chance to shine came when he was staying with a producer of a ballet production – the lead ballerina got injured and the only stand in available was li. Li decided to stay in america and he was banned from going back to china. In one amazing scene his parents that he had not seen in ages came as VIP guests to come and see li perform that was the best scene i think it was so heart braking. I recommend this movie for people over 10 as the are some heart braking scenes. I would not recommend this as a young family movie. I rate this movie a 7/10 although it was very good i have seen better movies
if you have not seen this movie get watching ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚
