The blog for books and movies

Harry Potter and the Weasleys go to watch the Quidditch World Cup. On that same night, the illegal Dark Mark appears in the sky. When Harry gets back to Hogwarts, he finds out a surprise. The competition between three of the magic schools is taking place this year. This is a very rare event, since it only happens once every five years but hasn’t happened for ages because lots of the competitors died. Viktor Krum, a participator in the Triwizard Tournament, is from one of these amazing wizard schools. Hogwarts is the contest’s location this year. Even though Harry is not old enough to enter, his name appears inside the magic goblet. He is in. But he soon will learn that the reason he was secretly entered was to put his and the rest of the world’s life in danger……

  1. Harry Potter was a highly exciting novel to read, in my opinion. My favourite character throughout the entire series has been Hermione Granger, who I adore. I enjoyed the well-thought-out plot, which was fantastic! My favourite scenario had Harry spending time in the maze. After overcoming a number of obstacles, he and Cedric were both teleported to the cemetery after emerging from the maze. I think this is great and I totally support this! Definitely recommend this!

To me this book, although suspenseful is the sad turn in the series. It presents us with murder, rising of Voldemort and fear. From here on out Voldemort only gets stronger and more powerful. But I did really like this book because it brings them together against the Dark Lord. Like I said, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and was really truly suspenseful. My favourite part about the book is when the schools are introduced and it is almost like a performance/ show. I would recommend this book to people who love action, suspense and adventure. I would give this book an 8/10.

WOW, what an adventure. From the tournament to Voldemort returning this movie/book has it all. The darkness that this movie/book hold is out of this world. I loved both reading and /or watching the movie. My favourite part of the movie is when they go into the maze. Although it is quite sad after the loss of Cedric, the scene is filled with suspense. I would recommend this book and/ or movie to others. I would give it a 9/10. It was action packed and fun to watch.

There were many obstacles for him to pass and when he and Cedric reach the end of the maze they are both teleported to the graveyard. This was amazing and I definitely recommend it!

I read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My favourite character was Cedric Diggory he was very nice and always helped Harry. My least favourite character was Ron Weasley he got very jealous of Hermonie going on a date with Crum and was all a bit annoying in the book. I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy and adventure. I thought the ending of the book was very sad because Cedric dies and he was a good character and also Voldemort is back which is really bad. I am definitely reading the rest of the series.

Harry potter and the goblet of fire is a great book to read. The book includes Harry having to go through many dangerous tasks in order to receive the Triwizard cup. My favourite part of this book is when Harry goes on the second task, which is when the champions must go underwater and find someone to save. I definitely think that the author did a great job in describing and writing the different tasks and what they are. Overall, I think that this was a great book and I would definitely recommend this book to any harry potter fans or just people who love a good adventure in general, I give it a 9/10!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the 4th book in the Harry Potter series. This is such a great book and is so action-packed. Harry is mysteriously entered in the tri wizard tournament where he must compete in life-threatening tasks where the last task leads him to Voldemort who is reborn into his powerful half-human self and tries to fight Harry. Harry escapes and tries to warn everyone though no one believes him. this book was so fun to read. I really enjoyed this book and would rate it an 8/10

  10. I loved Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because of how action packed and exciting it was, it was packed to the rafter of action, dry wit and sarcasm. My favourite part of the book when Harry is swimming through the lake because of how peaceful it is, at least until the grindylows came. My Favourite character was Dobby because how lovable he was, how much he wanted help and he cute way of speaking. I think I relate to Dobby because as a little kid I idolised my older cousins and I would do anything they asked me like Dobby would do anything for Harry. My least Favourite part of the book is when Cedric dies because I feel bad for Cho who was his girlfriend at the time, although I would change anything in this even Cedric dying because it all plays a role in the fantastic series that is Harry Potter. I recommend this book to anyone who can read because of how good this book is.
    Happy Reading!!!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. I absolutely adore this book, would almost say its my favourote. In the this book the Triwizard Tournament is being played a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is 1 champion from each school, Hogwarts, Beaubatons and Durmstrang. The champion from Hogwarts is Cedric Diggory, from Durmstrang it’s Viktor Krum, who is a famous seeker, and from Beaubatons part Veela, Fleur Delacour, although theres a twist when harry is said to compete as well despite the age restrictions. This is a very interesting book, full of mystery and discovery of the past. Even though it is the fourth book in the series, the stories are not going downhill, as some series do. My favourite character is cedric because he is someone new to the series but he is popular at school and the movie supports my intrest to his charecitr as i love the actor Robert Pattinson. My favourite part of the book is when Harry’s name comes out of the goblet of Fire, or the Yule Ball. Overall I would give this one a 10 out of 10. I would recommend it to people 10+, because it is a bit darker than the first 3. This book is full of drama, devitstation, friendship, trust and is action-packed.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a great book from the very first page to the last! In the beginning of this book Harry and the Weasleys attend the Quidditch World Cup where everything seems to be going fine until… The Dark Mark is spotted, but what dose this mean, is Voldemort back? Returning to Hogwarts everyone is surprised with the announcement being made that the Triwazard cup is going top be held at their very own school! Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy of Magic arrive and the tournament begins! Harry was ineligible to enter because of his age but when his name is called out to compete everyone is confused, some people are even angry. He competes in the tournament with Cedric Giggory, Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour where they face multiple challenges. It all comes down to this… the last challenge. It seems to be going fine until Cedric and Harry are captured by Lord Voldemort, Cedric is killed, battling once again Harry returns to school with Cedric’s body. Who will believe Harry, and most important of all who at the school is working for Voldemort? You must read to find out! This book is perfect for anyone 10+ who loves to read

  13. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire is the fourth book of the Harry Potter series written by JK Rowling. Once again, we are plunged into the world of magic and wizardry as Harry and his friends encounter things they’ve never seen before. The Triwizard Tournament is brought back at Hogwarts with guest schools, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. A champion from all these 3 schools are chosen to compete in the tournament as the threat of Voldemort looms closer and closer. This book is a bit darker than the other 3 and we can really see how Harry and the other characters have grown since the beginning of the series. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first three as it is a really good read.

Harry and his friends are in their fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and Lord Voldemort is growing strong again and is coming back to kill Harry. Hogwarts have a competition running called the “Tri-Wizard Tournament” with a series of events that they have to survive in. This exhilarating book will get you on the edge of your seat, just waiting for what comes next! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is definitely one of my favourite books in the series! 10/10 and would definitely recommend to everyone!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is such a great book and I loved reading it!
Harry, Ron and Hermione are starting their fourth year at Hogwarts. This year the Triwizard tournament is being held at Hogwarts and three different champions get chosen out of the goblet, one from each school, but this time, Harry gets chosen as well, making there four champions. Except Harry didn’t put his name in the goblet but he doesn’t know who did. This raises many questions for Harry and he starts to think someone wants him dead because there are 3 very dangerous tasks that need to be completed in the triwizard tournament: retrieve a golden egg from a dragons nest, rescue something very important to the champion which is being held by the mermaids in the Hogwarts lake and navigate through a maze filled with various obstacles and dangers through out the way. I really enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it!

  16. The book Harry Potter and the goblet of fire is a great thriller! It an awesome adventurous book. It is about Harry who returns to Hogwarts once again with his friends. This there there is a Tri-wizard tournament. The Tri-wizard tournament is a competition where different schools compete in 3 different competitions and they are all very different. But there is a rule that you have to be 17 or over to compete. People put their names in the hat and soon at an assembly they announced the names. An unexpected event then happened… Harry’s name gets picked out and he says that he didn’t put his name in because he is only 14. I recommend this book to people who like a bit of thriller, action and adventure! Overall i rate this book a solid 9/10 because it is AMAZING!!

Now Harry Potter’s fourth year at Hogwarts, new surprises and a Triwizard competition, becomes the new talk of the school. With suspicion and death eaters at every corner, Harry must protect himself from the rising Dark Lord, as well as make it out of the competition alive.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, a mysterious thriller, jammed with action and littered with casual high school drama. I love this book because J.K Rowling is such a talented author and makes me feel at home in the pages of her book, not to mention that her writing is so descriptive and powerful that I feel like I’m at Hogwarts myself. I think this book is amazing because it’s so different from the other Harry Potter books, one could argue it represents the same themes but Rowling does it in a way that makes the reader feel like they’ve never experienced a book like this before which again I say is such a powerful skill for an author to have. I found myself not wanting to put this book down, there is too much not to be invested in this franchise, ‘just one more chapter’ was never going to work! My favourite thing about this book has to be the involvement of new and unknown characters, people we haven’t heard from before, it’s so much fun to explore new characters and create them in your head. Do be warned though the ending is not what most would expect and definitely took me by surprise I’ll tell you that much! Overall brilliant book, would recommend to anyone looking for a book to completely get lost in, I guess you could say that’s what Harry Potter is for!

I love reading the Harry Potter books because it feels like you are actually in Hogwarts. In this book my favourite character is Hermione because she stands up to her friends when they laugh at her because they don’t think that she has a partner to the dance. It was so funny the way Ron watched Fleur. One of my favourite things to see is the rivalry between Harry and Victor. I couldn’t stop laughing about the part when Fred and George tried to cheat the system to participate in the Tri-wizard Tournament. It is a great book and anyone looking for a bit of mystery.

I loved this book because it was so good and it kept me on the edge of my seat. My favourite part of the movie is the yule ball and Ron’s reaction to Hermione being ‘A girl’ and not one of the guys. My favourite Character had to be Hermione because of how determened she is to make S.P.E.W a succsuss. I can relate to Hermione’s love of books because I am a complete bookacholic. My least favourite part of the book was when Cedric died it made me cry sooo much and just yeah. IfI could change something in this book I wouldmake it so Cedric didn’t die. I would defiantly recommend this book to people who like to read because it is just so good and yeah!!!

  22. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was a great book; but not my favourite one of the series. My favourite part of this book would be when Fred and George try and enter their names in the goblet and they then grow grey beards; oh how I laughed when I read that! My favourite character in this book would have to be Harry; he had to have had so much courage to compete the the Tri-Wizard Tournament at such a young age – he really did have a disadvantage because he was a few years younger than all the other competitors. I would definitely recommend this book as part of the series; again, it isn’t my favourite book in the series but still quite an enjoyable one!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. WHOA! What an amazing book, it doesn’t matter how many times I read it, I love it even better every time. My favourite part of this book is when Harry, Cedric, Krum and Fleur go into the maze, this is where they encounter creatures, curses and people unknown. While reading Harry Potter, I came about liking Fleur Delacaur, A Veela, (The Bulgarian Quidditch team mascot.) Fleur represent her school in the Tri-wizard tournament. I like Fleur becuase she is extremely grateful, pretty and a fun character to read about. If I could change anything about this book, I would change the fact who Harry brings to the ball, form Pavial to Cho. I would recommend this book to others to read because it is full of adventure, a tad of romance and everything in-between. If you are an adventure loving reader, I would recommend you reading this book.

I also like how this book of the series has a little bit of romance thrown in there as well. Harry’s name rising from the Goblet of Fire? The Dark Mark appearing at the Quidditch World Cup? A very strange way to start Harry Potter’s fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter, the most famous boy in the wizarding world, is set up to defeat many terrifying and horrible challenges. A long with a new teacher, Draco Malfoy and his best friends jealousy, Harry is in for a rough ride. J.K Rowling has added an element of magic to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She is amazing at creating a clear image in the readers head and makes it an amazing read. I love the story line and how the book stays exciting the whole way through!! 32. Where to even begin?! Words can not express just how much I love the Harry Potter series. They are the sort of book that you open to your favourite chapter when you’ve had a bad day or that you can re-read 7 times and never get bored. The Goblet of Fire has to be one of my favourite in the series. It is set in Harry’s 4th year at Hogwarts. They have just reintroduced the Triwizard tournament – a tournament competed in by one person from each of the three major magic school in Britain. I don’t want to say much more as I am reluctant to spill and spoilers. All I will say is that YOU HAVE TO READ THE HARRY POTTERS. JK Rowling’s prose are brilliant. In my opinion, no one even comes close to Rowling in terms of storytelling and imagination. She manages to capture a whole range of audiences (currently my little brother and Dad are finishing reading the 7th book and I think that my Dad is enjoying himself even more than my brother!) I absolutely love every character but I think that Hagrid would have to be my favourite. I just think that the idea of a big friendly giant who loves dangerous monsters is delightful. All in all, I couldn’t recommend this book more highly. Definitely, a must read!

  37. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the series and one of most exciting. It is probably one of my favourite books within the Harry Potter series in terms of it’s storyline Not a single dull or uninteresting moment can be found in this novel that it is so easy to read it again and again. This book truly makes it probable for the readers to lose themselves in this book. With twists, turns, astounding events and distinctive characters. Also, this particular story out of the series opens readers’ minds to new traits and interesting information about this new world. Anyone who hasn’t read The Goblet of Fire ought to definitely consider the decision to, as this is the book when things really begin to heat up in Harry’s story, his relationships with friends and peers become more complicated, his awareness of his obligations and courage become more distinct and the plot line itself begins to move in a more certain and structured direction.

J.K Rowling creates a certain connection between the readers as she uses different terms and creates a whole different world and understanding such as Roald Dahl in the BFG. Throughout the book, Harry faces challenges that have never been brought upon him, such as being selected into the Tri Wizard tournament- a dangerous tournament of dark magic and mystery, as Harry is only 14, he cannot understand why he has been selected even though he did not put his name in the Goblet of Fire. He connects more closely to his God Father, Sirius Black, and discovers why the magic world can be so dangerous, but fun!. As you read the book, you are instantly thinking about clues and mysteries that lie beneath non- muggle ministry! I definitely recommend to anyone!

The school has announced that the Tri Wizard Tournament was being held at Hogwarts. About 10 Students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons came to Hogwarts to stay for a while for the lead up to the tournament as well as the actual tournament. They all got the opportunity to enter if they were over 17 years old. Someone older than harry must have entered his name into the goblet of fire but who was it. J.K Rowling is purely one of the great masters of plotting. Once again the story seems to go in a dozen directions at first, with many seemingly unrelated characters and events, but hardly a word is wasted. 53. ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ is a book/movie about a boy called Harry. He goes to a school called Hogwarts which is a school for wizards and witchcraft.
This year they are doing the Tri-wizards tournament which is very rare because they have not done it in a long time. Two other schools come and they all compete in different rounds to see who os the best. At the end Voldemort returns which I think makes the story far more interesting.
I really liked this book. I just couldn’t stop turning the page. My favourite part was when in one of the challenges the competitors had to swim under water to find a person which they are close to and save them. I liked that part because J.K. Rowling described it so well and made it interesting.
My least favourite part was when Voldemort came back to life. This was my least favourite part because I don’t like Voldemort because he does unkind things and he was coming back to life. I wouldn’t change anything. I would definitely recommend this book/movie to people who like fantasy and are interested in wizardry. I rate this book a 9.5 out of 10.

  54. Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire is the fourth book in the series and in my opinion would have to be either the best or one of the best. If you are interested in fantasy stories than I would definitely recommend this book. The story is narrated by Harry Potter who is in his fourth year at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. This year is a bit different to the rest where the tri wizard tournament is being held at Hogwarts. When Harry’s name is entered into the draw, his whole life changes. You will not want to stop reading this book once you start. I would recommend this book to anybody over the age of 10 and I would rate this book 9.5/10.

Last year i read this book twice and just could’t get enough of it. If you like books that keeps you hooked and wondering throughout the very first page to the end. This is a perfect book for you. Basically everyone i have asked if they liked the book they said it was amazing and they just couldn’t get over it. If you have seen the movie before it is basically along the lines of that but boy is this great to read. Especially the whole collection, i am still working my way up there. I recommend for you to read this book and i would rate it a 9/10. You just want to keep on reading and reading until you finish the book, then you want to read the next book. It is just great. :):)

This is by far my favourite Harry Potter novel!! The Harry potter series is one of the best series ever I think. It’s so exciting and fantastic! When I first read this book I could not stop reading. This book engrosses you from the very start, and at times, it can be a bit scary, but overall, amazing! My favourite part of this book, was when Harry is awarded second place in the second challenge, in the Triwizard Tournament, instead of coming last, as it shows that Harry has the courage, and is willing to help others, instead of just thinking for himself. Would definitely rate this book really high – most action packed book of the series in my opinion! 10/10:)

I will admit that I am not the kind of person who can read for hours on end and never gets bored. However, this book was so hard to put down and it kept me interested. My favourite part was when Harry went underwater and had to survive without breathing in air. It was so caotic and I loved the sense of danger in this scene. I would give this book an 8 out of 10 becasue I loved the author’s style of writing and I continued to be interested the whole way through.

the adventure is amped up in this installment of harry potter. With twist and turns at every corner, and the element of surprise hidden in the pages. We find out the truth if “The Boy Who Lived” put his name in the goblet of not. This action almost ruined his beloved friendship with Ron but after the death defining rounds to win the tri wizard championship renews their friendship. Saving his friends and defining the odds the selflessness of Harry stands out in this book and is a great addition to the series.

I would recomend this for 9years+ and those who have read and loved the other books and those who love adventure and a thrill.

I love the challenges that Harry had to compete in against the other students. The thing about this book is how it is written. The plot is wonderful, and there is that fantastic moment when you put together the final piece of the jigsaw and everything makes sense. JK Rowling keeps you wondering, throughout the book as many mysterious things start to happen. One of the most important mysteries is the question of who put Harry’s name in the goblet of fire ?. Whoever it is, is defiantly out to get him. This book is great. Not only does it have an excellent plot but we get to see some of our favorite characters and share their thrilling moments with them.
This book is absolutely fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who loves this series, or any books for that matter. Enjoy!!!

This book is probably my favourite out of the whole Harry Potter series. It was so intense and had me on the edge of my seat! I was just dying to find out what came next. My favourite character would definitely be Hermione because she is such a snob and does everything with dignity. Even when she gets hurt by Ron she holds her head high and carries on. She is my idol (character-wise). 😀 This book has so much too it and all the different stages of obstacles to complete for the Triwizard cup was amazing!! I would rate this a 11/10 because it was just so amazing!

WOW! Harry Potter, the journey at Hogwarts continues. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the 4th book from the collection. It is time to have a little bit of competition, The Tri-Wizard tournament has begun. This is when a witch/wizard is chosen from each magic school and has to battle in different challenges, some death-defying. Harry has some big challenges along the way, but that is expected in a day at Hogwarts. The adventure awaits in the Tri-Wizard tournament. i would recommend this book to anyone very much into FANTASY!!

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. I absolutely adore this book. I am currently reading it to my younger brother and he is loving it. In the this book the Triwizard Tournament is being played a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is 1 champion from each school, Hogwarts, Beaubatons and Durmstrang. The champion from Hogwarts is Cedric Diggory, from Durmstrang it’s Viktor Krum, who is a famous seeker, and from Beaubatons part Veela, Fleur Delacour. This is a very interesting book, full of mystery and discovery of the past. Even though it is the fourth book in the series, the stories are not going downhill, as some series do. My favourite characters are Hermione and Ron in this, they may be complete opposite, but I can relate to both of them. Hermione, because she is clever, and has to struggle against the boys she calles her friends, Ron and Harry. I can relate to Ron, because he speaks his mind and is a bit goofy and slack (especially in his school and homework). My favourite part of the book is when Harry’s name comes out of the goblet of Fire, or the Yule Ball. Overall I would give it a 10 out of 10. I would recommend it to people 10+, because it is a bit darker than the first 3. This book is full of drama, devitstation, friendship, trust and is action packed.

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” is my siblings’ favourite Harry Potter movie and book, and my third. They love all the games that are held in the Triwizard Tornament, especially the dragons. OMG. I just realised that the Triwizard Tornament is called Triwizard because there is only supposed to be three wizards competing for the cup! Wow that makes so much sense. But in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” there are four wizards because Harry’s name gets drawn out too! I never understood why the school hosts these games that put their student’s lives in danger. I mean, wouldn’t the parents sue them or something if their child died in the games? and wouldn’t the school be closed down? Anyway. I’m glad that the parents don’t sue and the school doesn’t get closed down because then there would be no story 😀 I rate this movie a 10/10!

  68. The fourth Harry Potter book we see Harry enter the Triwizard Tournament. He literally battles with every piece of knowledge and skill that he has to get through the tasks, with of course the help of Hermione Granger. The end of this book comes so sudden and the death of Cedric really makes it unpredictable. I think that this is the first time that Voldemort comes really close to killing Harry because he finally has his own body and it a threat again. My favourite character would be Cho in this film, she is a quiet girl but I love the scene where Harry asks her to the Yuel Ball. I would recommend this film to anyone over the age of 13. I would alos rate this book a 8/10 because I really loved it but I felt that the movie skipped many important parts that the book had.

His extraordinary talents are put to the test when Harry’s name is put in the Goblet of Fire and is chosen to compete in 3 very dangerous tasks-battling dragons, swimming with evil mermaids and magical marine creatures and travelling through a deadly maze, all part of the TwiWizard Tournament, of course! I recommend this book for ages 9+, particularly for those who enjoy Twilight as well as it stars the famous Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen, Twilight).

My favourite character in this particular book is Harry Potter. His bravery towards the whole Tri-Wizard tournament was amazing. Even though I think Harry loved the thrill and the challenge, I even sensed a little bit of anxiousness whilst I was reading. I loved all the challenges that all the participants were put through because it made the plot really interesting. I was very excited to find out who put Harry’s name in the goblet of fire but then when I found out that it was the fake Mad Eye Mood it was really not what I expected. I found it really interesting how Dumbledore has the thing that helps you she other memories. It got very intense at the end when you see Voldemort rise and become strong again. This is when I knew that Harry was going to have a tough life through out the rest of the series.

  80. The movie is about Harry Potter who is a wizard at Hogwarts school, and goes on many adventures with his friends Ron and Hermione. In this movie, Harry got entered into the Goblet of Fire non intentionally, and had to compete in a series of dangerous events, such as grabbing a golden egg from a fire breathing dragon, saving friends by escaping from evil mermaids etc. It is very action-packed with a lot of twists, turns and surprises along the way. My favourite part of the movie was when he had to rescue his friends underwater, because he had transformed his feet into flippers, and his face had gills to breathe underwater. It was really fast paced when he was trying to get up, with 20 mermaids grabbing onto him to pull him under. I can relate to Ron, because he is funny and goofy most of the times, but he is also loyal and tries to help his friends. I would recommend this movie to people maybe 10+, as it might be a bit scary with the dark and evil parts. Overall, this movie, as well as the other movies, are action packed, full of friendship, drama, determination, humour, bravery and support.

I was a touch disappointed with the book though, i felt like whilst I was reading it, it became a blur to me, it had a great story line though and thats the main thing, Harry got his name picked out of the goblet although he was underage but this was disregarded and he was forced to do it. By the end of it, Harry had lost quite a few friends during the hazardous game.

I enjoyed this novel because of it’s in-depth descriptions, creativity and also the adventure’s Harry Potter went on. J.K Rowling made me feel as though I witnessed everything inside this novel and it felt like I was their with Harry! My favourite part in the book was when Harry Potter did the 1st task of the Tri-Wizard Tournament-trying to take a dragons egg from it’s mother! I think this was a very exciting part of the novel and I really enjoyed reading it. My favourite character is Ron. He is really funny, loyal and kind to Harry. Ron is portrayed in the novel as a “nobody”, seeing as his best friends are “The Famous Harry Potter” or “The brilliantly smart Hermione Granger”. I really like Ron because he rarely complains about never having the spot light and is really co-operative. My least favourite part in the book was the end, when after Harry had battled with Voldemort and the Minister of Magic wouldn’t believe him that Voldemort had returned…I was really frustrated in this part-much so like the character Harry Potter! I wouldn’t change anything in this book because it is written perfectly and I like it the way it is. I would certainly recommend this book to EVERYONE, however I would advise for you to read the first few books in the Harry Potter series first, which are also fantastic! Any type of person would love this book…I didn’t think I would like Harry Potter because I don’t really enjoy like fantasy books, however I was enthralled by the Harry Potter series, as soon as I finished the second chapter!!! The fourth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is centred around the Triwizard Tournament, an ancient magical tournament held between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Harry must compete in this tournament under strained circumstances after a powerful spell makes his name come out of the hoodwinked Goblet of Fire. In this book friendships are tested, romances are kindled and lives are put on the line as Harry competes for the honour and prestige of being named as the Triwizard Champion. Harry, Ron and Hermione really seem to mature in this book as they deal with more complex issues. The humour and the interesting subplots contained in this book are quite enjoyable too. This grand tale of magic and mystery seems to flow along quite smoothly too, as the scenes switch quite regularly but fluently. The new characters introduced in this book are also intriguing and will leave you waiting for the next book to see what happens to them. Definitely recommended for everyone, I absolutely loved it, and my favourite part would have to be the Yule Ball and Hermione’s grand entrance.

  95. Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is the 4th book in the Harry Potter series, and was written by J.K Rowling. It is now Harry’s forth year at Hogwarts, and an up coming event will take place at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament, happens every 5 years and the competitors are 1 person from 3 schools and have to be over the age of 17. Instead of 3 competitors, there are 4. Some how Harry’s name appears out of the Goblet Of Fire, when he didn’t put his name in it. So who did? I loved the movie and book because it is just like any other Harry Potter book I have loved watching and reading. My favourite part in the book/movie was when Harry had to do all the Triwizard tasks because it was really interesting to watch and read. My favourite characters are Harry because he is strong, thoughtful, smart, talented and possesses the quality of courage, Ron because he is so funny when he is scared of everything, and becomes even more brave as the years come by in the books and movies, and of course Hermione because she is super, smart, deep in thought and absolutely incredible! Sadly, I can’t really relate to any of the characters other than Hermione because I think we are both very smart, and we think the same. (LOL!!) My least favourite part in the movie/ book is when Harry see’s Cedric Diggory die, and then battles Voldermort, with all the Deatheaters watching and surrounding them. But the most sweetest thing that happens is when Harry see’s his parents that night, and then takes the cup, and is out of the grave-yard. It was a scary thought on what could have happened to Harry. If I were J.K Rowling, I wouldn’t want or have to change anything in the book, because I like it just the way it is, the way I read it. I would recommend this book/ movie to any person, because I am positive that they will love Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire movie and/or book, and the rest of the series as well. I think any type of person would love this book/movie, especially people who are into magic, and the make-believe stories. So, my advice would be, watch the movie, read the book, even do both to find out who put Harry’s name in the Goblet because no matter what, everyone, including you, will and should love Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, and of course the rest of the book and movie series!!

  100. Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire is second in my harry potter favourites list. It is a thriller of a movie. The Harry potter series is one of the best series ever I think. Its so exciting and fantastic! When I first read this book I could not stop reading. it really caught my attentiona dn once i finished it the first times I read it about 5 more times. Eventually the movie then came out and I loved it. Once it was out on dvd I bought it and now we have the whole series. My family loves harry potter and we love doing harry potter marathons from 6:30 at night till morning the next day and through the next night. The Goblet of fire is about Harry being under age but his name getting put in their by someone unknown. Harry has to face a number of very dangerous events. It is amovie that will make you jump out of your seat. Its exciting and you never know what will happen next. My favourite character in the book and movie is Cedric Digory. I think hes quite cute and I fell in love with him from the minute I saw him. My favourite part in the movie is when his name is called out because its so exciting and the good thing about it is you never expected it t happen and you have no idea whats going to happen wether they will make him pull out or go by the rules. In the ends he has to obide by the rules and go through with it. My least favourite part though is when Cedric Digory dies. Its so sad and when I first read it and first saw the movie I have tears flowing down my cheeks. It was so sad and I never expected that to happen and never wanted it to happen. I recommend this book for people who love fantasy and magic and for people 11 or older, rating is 10/10!

This book was about different schools that fought against each other in the most dangerous thing to win the cup. The ending of the book was my favorite part of the whole book it was exciting, scary and sad at the same time. In the book Harry finally is able to to see his parents.

  102. i thought the book Harry Potter and the goblet of fire was a really good book. i liked this book because it had a lot of action in it and i think that what happens to harry makes you think OH MY GOD. i think that this book isn’t as good as harry potter and the deathly hallows but it comes about my 3rd favourite. my second favourite would have to be harry potter and the philophises stone. in the goblet of fire i like the challenges harry has to face. the character i really don’t like in this book is mad eyed moody. he freaks me out with his googley eye. i also don’t like him because he put harrys name in the magic goblet.
i would recomened this to anyone who enjoys the harry potter series.

  103. You know something bad is gonna go down when Voldemort’s ‘Dark Mark’ sign of the Death Eaters is hanging in the air. So when the Tri-Wizard tournament comes around again at Hogwarts, you know Harry Potter is going to get into something he probably shouldn’t. When Harry’s name mysteriously emerges from the Goblet of Fire as a fourth contestant for the Tri-Wizard competition, there has to be some dark magic behind it.
After fighting dragons and mermaids, a maze for the final challenge doesn’t seem all that difficult. But when the final prize takes you straight to Lord Voldemort, its a lot harder then you think.
This was one of my favourite Harry Potter books because for once you see a little rivalry between Harry and Ron Weasley, but because the story is action packed and full of exciting adventures.
I rate Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 8-1/2 out of 10. Definitely read it

I like it how the movie isn ;t the same as the book and it is way more uprising. However, I must admit I really liked reading it more than I enjoyed watching it.
    Rating…
    Book: 5/5
    Movie: 3/5

  105. This book is Fantastic . I am a fan of the harry potter series ( who wouldn’t be if you’ve read this far ). And the forth book is one of my favorites. I recommend this book to people of all ages, especially those who enjoy a fantasy tale or who have become hooked on the first three books.

  106. This Harry Potter book is definitely one of the most exciting books in the series. The Goblet of Fire is the fourth book and I have read it about five times.

Harry returns to Hogwarts ready start his fourth year at the school. Although, he is shaken from what happened at the Quidditch World Cup and has been having nightmares about the death eaters that terrorised him. He becomes confused at what is going on but has Ron and Herminone with him to help him through it. A special event occurs at the school, the Tri-Wizard tournament which is very dangerous for people to enter into. The names are put into the goblet of fire and the three chosen champions have to do three very dangerous and difficult challenges. When the names are being read out, Harry’s name is chosen. He is abruptly concerned because he didn’t put his name in their. So who did? Harry is set to face three challenges that he can NOT get out of. All he knows is someone wants him dead. But who?

This book is absolutely fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who loves this series, or any books for that matter. Enjoy!!!

  107. Harry Potter and the Goblet is number 4 in a series of 7 books by J. K. Rowling. It is about a young wizard with extraordinary talents who comes across some problems at his 4th year at Hogwarts. Harry’s name is put in a magic goblet and is chosen to compete in 3 extremely dangerous tasks- battling a dragon, facing evil mermaids and magical marine creatures and travelling through a maze, but not a normal one, a maze that swallows you! I recommend this book for all year levels, particularly for those who prefer like Twilight and Harry Potter, as it stars the famous Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen, Twilight).

  108. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a really good book. I just love the way J.K. Rowling created Harry’s dangerous life. In this book Harry’s in his 4th year at Hogwarts, and in this year the triwizard tournament is on and it’s being held at hogwarts. Harry is one of the 4 people entered in the tournament and it’s his most dangerous job yet. In the tournament he has to face 3 tasks, with dragons, merpeople and a creepy maze, and it’s all to get a cup.
This books packed with new spells, dangerous tasks, and the most dangerous wizard in history!!!
I recommend this book to everyone and becasue it’s THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!

  109. The Harry Potter series is one of my favorites! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a great book filled with fantasy and magic.
This Harry Potter book is about a boy named Harry potter and how mysteriously his name gets put in the goblet of fire to compete in the TriWizard Tournament. He of course didn’t put his name in but who really did? Harry has to go through to whole tournament but at his own risk. Harry Discovers some mysterious secrets along the way.
This book is a great one to read in bed because you can never put it down and you literally cant stop reading it. I would give this book an 8 and a half out of 10.
A really good book and everyone should read it!

  110. I loved the book becasue it was really interesting and full of excitement right to the last page. My favourite part of the book was when Harry went through the maze and got lost then used his wand to help him. He then found Sedrick Digery and they both found the goblet of fire. It was my favorite bit of the book because it was so exciting and i was so eager to find out what would happen at the end of the book. My favourite character was moaning mertal, she is so funny the way she haunts the girls bathroom and then when Harry is in the bath she is sitting right next to him and Harry was feeling quite weird. It was a very awkward moment. I really feel I relate to Hermoine I sometimes feel that everyone is against me and that she is sort of always the one they rely on for smart ideas. My least favourite part in the book is right at the start. To me I just don’t think it makes that much sense. It doesn’t really have much to do with the movie at all. I wouldn’t change a thing in this book it is too good and I would properly reck the book and the whole story line.I would defiantly recommend this book to every one out there that is reading this becasue it is a great book one that you can watch over and over and over again and never get sick of it. If you are the type of person that loves a good story and a real action packed book I recommend this fully.

    Thanks hope this helped.

  111. This book is AMAZING! it has everything a book should have! romance, humour, emotion and action. After Harry’s finds out that his name has been mysteriously put into the Goblet of Fire, entering him in the tri wizard tournament, he is faced with what seem like impossible challenges but love the way harry, hermione and ron always figure it out together. But what harry can’t figure out is why someone would want to put his name in the Goblet of Fire?

  112. I loved this book because I took longer then the other ones to read and a lot of new characters come in to the story line, Viktor Krum, Prof. Moody, Fleur and Cedric Diggory.
My favourite part of the book was when they went to the Yule Ball and Harry didn’t get to go with Cho Chang and Hermione gets to go with the ‘coolest’ person, Viktor.
My favourite character was Cedric because the actor was… Robert Pattinson! But also because he isn’t vain even though he was very popular because he was the Tri-Wizard competitor for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
If I could change anything in this book it would be that at the end when they are in the maze and Cedric and Harry both touch the trophy Cedric didn’t get kilt.
I would defiantly recommend this book to anyone but only if they red the first three first. The person I think would like this book would be a person who liked Twilight, Lord of the Rings or and magical, mythical books like that.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is such an enthralling book, it makes you want to read more and more, until you turn the last page, and when you turn the last page, you don’t want it to end. It has just the right amount of suspense and detail to make you want to keep reading. J.K Rowling describes things so well.

  117. Harry has found that his name was put into the goblet of fire, as it was pulled out by dumboldore, this means that he has to undertake very dangerous tasks. He didn’t put his name in the cup, so who did. When harry finds that the first task is soon Professor Moody offers to help. Along with the others. All at the same time, Moody keeps sipping at his flask. WHAT IS GOING ON. Then the final task is you have to go through a dangerous maze, Harry and a boy called Cedric Digory, dicide to grab it together, but it turns out that its something that can take you to a different place. When they grab it they are wizzed to a cemertary, and there Cedric is unrightfully killed instantly. Harry is very mad. And when voldermort (the bad person) is reformed with a body, harry is very confused. Harry is tied up because they need his blood to reform voldermort. Voldermort tells his followers to untie harry, harry falls to the ground. Voldermort tells harry that they are to duel (wizard fighting) then when they both throw spell at each other. But the spells meet, and there is a spark in the middle, then spirits come out of Voldermorts wand, the spirits of Cedric, harry’s mother and father. They tell Harry that he can run and touch the porthole (the thing that takes you to a different place) and he does he is flung back to hogwarts, and Harry was touching Cedric’s body which means it was transported too. Moody takes Harry to his office, and asks Harry wierd questions about the graveyard and Voldermort. Then Harry thinks how do you know about the graveyard? Suddenly Moody starts to skake and quiver, his face went wierd and he turned into a different person, fourtunatly, Dumbledore and some teachers burt into the room. They find that the imposter Moody had been drinking a potion to make himself look like the real Moody. They found the real one in the office. The school is restored and everything is good agian (as good as it is ever going to be anyway)

  118. Hi,
    I like this article but..
last night i went to the midnight premiere of harry potter and the half blood prince! I was honestly so disappointed! was it just me or did it seem very choppy and for some reason didn’t feel like it was a harry potter movie. Don’t get me wrong some of the parts in it were either really funny or somewhat scary but i really was not satisfied. I don’t know, what did you think?? Am i wrong? Give me your opinions..

  122. the book i am reviewing is Harry Potter and the Goblet of FIre by Jk Rowling. As Harry, Ron and Hermione mature and enter their fourth year of Hogwarts, once again their lives are under threat as Lord Voldemort is rising to power. This year the Tri-Wizard tournament is a central focus as we meet characters such as Victor Krum and Fleur De Lelacour and the safety of Hogwarts is penetrated by a servant of the Dark Lord. This book is very long however I find it entertaining and exciting throughout the entire story. This book also sets up the rest of the stories in the series.
