The children are soon discovered by their enemies, and a frantic chase sends Kate a hundred years into the past, to a perilous, enchanted New York City. Searching for a way back to her brother and sister, she meets a mysterious boy whose fate is intricately—and dangerously—tied to her own.

Meanwhile, Michael and Emma have set off to find the second of the Books of Beginning. A series of clues leads them into a hidden world where they must brave harsh polar storms, track down an ancient order of warriors, and confront terrible monsters. Will Michael and Emma find the legendary book of fire—and master its powers—before Kate is lost to them forever?

  1. I recommend the book The Fire Chronicles, this book is very dramatic and adventurous. This book allows you to picture the moment travelling and finding clues and unlocking secrets. It is very suitable for our age and that we are mature enough for the book to read a little young love romance when living our last few days which could mean life or death. It is based on young teenagers trying to unlock the secrets of the fire chronicles each teenager has their own role that they play which therefore they formed a great pack. One maybe the fighter, one may be the saviour and the other trying to stay alive. Together they look out for each other to unlock the secrets. But did they unlock all the secrets?? I can’t tell you that now can I. Wouldn’t want to spoil the book. I have given you too many details already so please read the book yourself. It an entirely different them and genre to what I like to read but I rate this book 8/10. If you like adventures and discoing secrets than this is the book for you.
