This is the first of seven books in the series of harry potter. In this book, we are introduced to Harry, a boy who’s parents were killed when he was a baby. He was sent to live with his auntie and uncle who disregard him and force him to live under the stairs. On his 11th birthday, Harry attends Hogwarts, a school of witchcrafts and wizardry. Harry gains knowledge of using his wand and casting spells. He quickly becomes friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, these three stay really close during the entire series.
It was a good novel. the book features magic and fantasy elements. The scene where Harry is attempting to defeat Voldemort is my favourite. due to its lack of intrigue, the beginning is my least favourite part of the book.

J.K. Rowling’s book The Deathly Hallows is filled with visions, friendship, and conflict. I haven’t read a book series as excellent as the one J.K. Rolling has produced. Harry, Ron, and Hermione permanently leave Hogwarts after Dumbledore’s passing, and they search for any possible hiding places for Voldemort’s precious horcruxes. In a final struggle with Voldemort, Harry will respect those who care about him more than ever.

Harry Potter! Where do I begin. This book is truly amazing. It is captivating and special. I book if overflowing with magic and mystery. I love how Harry slowly starts to unfold who he is and who he is meant to be. My favourite part is when Harry first meets Hagrid, and Hagrid says to him… “your a wizard Harry” and Harry’s face after this is amazing, it is a mix of surprise and confusion. I would definitely recommend this book for others, maybe 10+ because there is mild violence, but other than that it is great and would be a high recommend.

I loved this book in the Harry Potter series, and it is one of my all-time favourites. It is darker than its predecessors, and marks the beginning of progression from young childhood to teenage life. It was really well written and full of plot twists, and I would love to go back and read it for the first time. I loved the addition of the dementors, because they make the world darker and more interesting, as well as allowing us to explore Harry’s past. This book also introduced two of my favourite characters, Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. They are both complex and interesting characters, with different stories. It is one of my favourite books, much like the other books in the Harry Potter series. I would recommend this book to ages 9 and over, and to anyone that enjoys reading, because the whole Harry Potter series is, in my opinion, a classic.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is about a young wizard, who attends Hogwarts, a school for witchcraft and magic. Harry learns how to use his wand and cast spells which will help him in the future. Soon enough, he meets and befriends two other young wizard and witches named Hermione and Ron. The major protagonists are Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The issue was that Harry attempted but failed to defeat Voldemort.
This book was enjoyable for me. It’s a fantasy novel, thus amazing things happen. The scene where Harry is attempting to defeat Voldemort is my favourite. The beginning is my least favourite because it is slow and not captivating enough to read for prolonged periods of time. I wouldn’t change anything in this book because most things are excellent.
My favourite character is Hermione. I just love how I can relate to her will for academic excellence and i love just how strong she is. She is such a great female lead.

Harry was left at the doorstep of his horrible Aunty and Uncle and his cousin, The dursleys. He sleeps in a cupboard under the stairs and is treated really poorly. On his 11 birthday. He receives a letter but no one would let him read it. More and More letters keep coming in. I wont say any more but would definitely recommend this to people 10 and over. I rate this book/movie a 7/10

Harry Potter. To Harry’s cruel aunt, uncle and cousin, this name only meant trouble. However, a different story could be said for the of the Wizarding World. Harry, who had always lived with his mothers family, could not even remember the feeling of love. The feeling of having a purpose, having a life, having a family.
Until one day a giant of a man called Hagrid visits Harry to inform him that he was not an outcast orphan, but a wizard, having magical potential just his his parents before him! Harry is sent off to the wonderfully crazy school, ‘Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’!
Harry makes new friends, like tall freckly Ron Weasley and clever bucktoothed Hermione Granger, as well as enemies like rich spoiled Draco Malfoy and the hook nosed teacher Professor Snape.
Through thick and thin, bad and good, Harry and his friends might have to uncover the mysteries of Hogwarts and find out how to save the world!
I love this book!!!! 10/10 and I recommend it to 9+.

After eleven years of living at his aunt and uncles house at number 4 Privet Drive, Harry is accepted in Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Along the way, he meets his best friends, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. After arriving at Hogwarts, Harry finds out about his true identity, as the Boy who Lived, and learns about Voldemort, or He who must not be named, the man who killed Harry’s parents and left Harry with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of books about magic, and mystery, and anyone who loves book series. This is a classic book that I will always fall back on whenever I need a book to read.

I have read this book again, again and again and it just gets better EVERY time. I loved the way Harry’s character developed because at the start he was a nobody but he became his own person which i admired deeply. One thing I always wondered was why he had to stay with his Aunt and Uncle? Who were not very nice people. I wonder if it was to create his story line? Or because they’re was simply no other way?
I loved Dumbledore and how he created this father figure towards Harry and protected him and cared for him like he hadn’t been before. I loved the community at Hogwarts and it was like a home for everyone.
I would recommend this book to everyone no doubt!

I know that some people might say that I’m a bit over the top when it comes to harry potter but who can blame me for it though, it’s only the best book in the entire universe! Although Harry is the main character I have to say I like Hermionie granger better. Everyone says Hermionie is annoying though she is so smart kind and thoughtful. I love how big and funny hagrid is. He makes me laugh with everything he says. Don t even get me started on the “Dursley” though! They annoy me soooo much that I can even feel sympathy for them. I hate how Dudley is such a spoiled little brat. I love this book so much that I don’t think it’s healthy… I would recommend this to people over the age of 12 as it is quite a big read and the books get bigger as they go on. Though my mum read this to me when I was about 8 and I loved it!

He is given to his aunty and uncle until her turns 11 and gets very exciting news, Harry is a wizard and he is going to Hogwarts but this year at school brings a lot of challenges. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fictional books! i rate this book 8/10!

This Movie and book is amazing. It’s about a boy named Harry who goes to a school named Hogwarts and learns magic. His great friend Hermione and Ron are always by his side no matter how silly or dangerous something is. I recommend this to all age groups because its very interesting and many twists throughout the whole film. If you love a bit of fantasy and adventure this is the book/movie for you.

I read Harry potter and philosopher’s stone by J.K. Rowling. My favourite character was Hermione Granger because she was so smart and always new what to do and how to help them in situations and I also liked her character because she never let her friends down. I would recommend this novel to people who love magic and wizards and witches and also like some adventure. I would definitely read the rest of the series I loved how it made you feel like you were in a different world while reading it and how there was a lot of different words and sayings.

Harry potter and the philosophers stone is one of my favourite books. I think that it shows that people of any age can defy a great evil. Harry potter has just found out that he is a wizard and is attending Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizarding. He meets many people, good and bad. My favourite part of the book was when they went in the chess game. I think that this part of the book was described very well by the author. Overall, I think that this book was very good! I would give it a 9/10 and I recommend it to people of 10 years or older.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Is the first in a series of 7 by JK Rowling. It’s about a boy named Harry who for as long as he could remember he lived with his aunty (Petunia Dursley) , uncle (Vernon Dursley) and cousin (Dudley Dursley), because his parents were killed.
When a half-giant comes for him to tell him he’s a wizard, his life as he know it completely changed He goes to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. He becomes friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger who both know a lot more about his past then he does.
Harry discovers the truth of his parents death and his gift of being the only person to ever not die against the killing curse. Harry come across many obstacles throughout his first year at hogwarts and has to fight this un-imaganal.
If you like fantasy and adventure books this is for you 10/10 i would recommend it to anyone!

I liked Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone because it was full of twists and turns making it so exciting and impossible to put down. My favourite part of the book was when Ron scarifies himself for the greater good because it shows how selfless Ron is. My favourite character is Hermione because she is smart, sassy, bossy and an all-round inspiration for young girls today and she inspired me when I first read the books. I can relate to Hermione because she is a smart only child and she inspires me to be the best I can be. My least favourite part of the book is when Uncle Vernon basically abuses Harry at the start because technically it was child abuse. I would change absolutely nothing because this book is perfect. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good adventure/fantasy book or anyone who can read as it is an absolute must read.

I loved harry potter and the philosopher’s stone because it was a great book to start off the series and entice the reader to red the rest. It is so interesting and it has an amazing story line. When i first read the book i loved it it was so good and I could not put the book down I loved it. My favourite characters in the book are Hermione, Harry, Ron obviously, although i despise Draco Malfoy. I think that this book is for ages 9 and up because it is a pretty long book also there is a lot of text in the so it takes some time to read. But if you are a confidetn reader its deftly perfect for you. I would rate this book a 9 out of ten because it is a really good book that has a great storyline that you can latch onto to read. This book is great and if you have seen the movies you should defiently still give the rest of the books a read. Overall this book is great,fun and interesting and if you like the movie than you will love the book.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first book into an unstoppable, and non unreadable journey!!! You just can’t put the book down!!! It is about a boy named Harry Potter who discovers he is a wizard on his 11th birthday when a half giant by the name of Hagrid comes to get him and tells him that his dad was a wizard and his mum was a witch, and that a man named Voldemort killed them, and takes him to Diagon Alley, where he collects his wand and other vital materials and objects for his new school Hogwarts; school of witchcraft and wizardry. But to get there he must go to Kings Cross Station and go to Platform 9 3/4 which is through a brick wall, and then he is able to go onto the Hogwarts Express, which takes him to Hogwarts. He meets Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger and they become trio (BEST FRIENDS). At Hogwarts there are 4 different houses; Gryffindor (for the daring and brave people), Hufflepuff (for the patient and loyal people), Ravenclaw (for the wise and intelligent people) and Slytherin (for the cunning and ambitious people), and they get put into Gryffindor. They then begin the 7 year long journey filled with mysteries and murders. And must get the Philosopher’s Stone before it is too late……

Harry Potter and the Philosophers is a great introduction to the Harry Potter series! This is the first book of the series and ever since I read it I couldn’t stop, I’m currently reading The Half Blood Prince. Enough about me reading and more about this book which is absolutely amazing! It starts off with some suspense and then leads into a story about a 10 year old Harry who is living with his aunt, uncle and cousin because when he was little his parents died in a horrible car crash. Or did they? Its Harrys 11th birthday when he find out he is a wizard and uncovers the truth about his family. So the term begins at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry and its all fun, Harry is sorted into Gryffindor one of the four Hogwarts houses, including Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Hufflepuff. Harry and his new friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger start to notice suspicious activity. They follow who they think is Snape, a teacher at their school, who leads them to the philosophers stone, wait! It’s not Snape, it’s another teacher professor Quirrell who is working for the dark lord, Voldemort. Harry fights Quirrell and everything works out to a happy ending for the year. But what will happen next year? Make sure your read the wholes series it is honestly the best, I cant express (Hogwarts express, lol) my love for these books!
You might not think a book about wizards and witches is your cup of tea, but trust me I thought that to! It’s not all about fantasy the story lines of these books are actually wonderful, just give it a try and you will see how good it is! 100% recommend for any ages who are ready to take on the reading challenge.

My favourite character in this book is Hermione because she is always showing the way for the others. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone who likes Fantasy.

I absolutely loved this book. JK Rowling did an amazing job with her expressive language. I did not only feel like i was reading the book but like i was at Hogwarts myself. The use of language made me understand each and every character at a whole different level, a much deeper and richer level. Sometimes I was left with sooooo much suspense that I was drawn to flipping the page, I could not resist. I recommend this book to each and every one of you reading this, you will not be disappointed, I assure you!

This book is about Harry Potter. Harry Potter’s parents aren’t alive, and so he lives with his aunt’s family, the Dursleys. When Harry turns 11, he discovers the fact that he is a wizard, and is invited to study at Hogwarts. When Harry arrives at Hogwarts he becomes friends with Ronald Weasley (Ron) and Hermione Granger. It is throughout the year that mischief and mayhem are caused, forcing Harry to keep his wits about him and defy the evil.
This book made me laugh, yet it also made me gasp. Out of the whole Harry Potter series, this is the best.
I recommend this book for ages 8-9+.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS EVER!!!! firstly this i one of my many, many favourite books for starters, and also the fact that harry potter and the philosopher’s stone is the first book in the harry potter series. i think this is one of the best books ever because of just how the book is and all the excitement in the book. it’s just such a great book to write about because of how well written it is by J.K Rowling. she did a really, really good job describing the characters, mostly describing harry because he’s the main character, but it also gives us a good look at Hermione and Ron and what their personalities are. some of the great things about this book is the fact that harry has lost his parents and have to stay with his aunt and uncle who are very mean to him, and can i just say personally i really don’t like dudley, he’s just a spoilt little kid that really annoys me. (but that’s just my opinion) i love in the book that harry becomes friends with Ron and Hermione, because after they become friends they have a ever lasting bond and they go on soooo many adventures together in the other books.
i would have to say the one main reason why i love this book so much is because it’s well written and because it’s a fantasy and i LOVE fantasies!!!
when i was little i never was in to reading because i thought it was boring but then my sister told me to read the harry potter books and i was like, sure why not. so i read the first chapter of harry potter and the philosopher’s stone and i was like, hmm i think i am actually enjoying this book. i was really surprised by that so i when on to read the rest of the book and i am really proud i did because now i can say i have read the first harry potter book. i also have read all of the other harry potter books and can i just say how GREAT they are!
i would also have to say that this book actually gives a lot more detail than the movie because of how much detail J.K Rowling put into the books.
overall i would highly recommend to start reading the harry potter books because you will regret not reading them now. and also because it’s a great book and i think many people will like it if you haven’t already watched the movie, (because you get a better backstory and more information)

I mean how can you not love this book? This was maybe the fifth time i’ve read this book but it never ever gets old. Harry Potter thinks nothing of himself. He is bullied by his cousin Dudley, his small and skinny, and wears big glasses. His not special at all. Until one day a letter appears and he founds out he has been accepted to Hogwarts School of witchcraft and wizardry. He is a wizard. The story follows harry and his life at Hogwarts where a mysterious plot, cranky teachers and thousands of spells and tricks await. I love this book the most because it is so imaginative and really takes you to Hogwarts like no book has ever done to me before. My favourite character is Hermoine because she is soo smart and is always there for her friends. I would recommend this book to boys and girls 8+ and rate it a 9.5/10 .

JK Rowling has created a book filled with danger, magic and friendship. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to those who enjoy adventure and fantasy.

WOW. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone just leaves you hanging on the edge of your chair! A boy named Harry Potter lives with his Aunty (Aunt Petunia) , Uncle (Uncle Vernon) and cousin (Dudley), after his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort. Harry has been living since them since they got killed (at age 1). Abusing Harry, they receive a letter, informing Harry to go to a school called “Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardary”. Harry was extremely confused, however he left the Dursleys to go to this school. Going through many ups and downs, making friends and becoming a wizard, Lord Voldemort is trying to get his power back (in which the Philosopher stone holds) after killing harry’s parents. With this, Harry and his friends try to stop him, but can they before it’s too late…I would definitely recommend this book to people who enjoy reading fantasy and adventurous texts. J.K Rowling really wrote this book well and will have you obsessed with it.

This story is about an 11 year old boy who knows nothing about himself and what he is destined to be.
Harry’s parents died in a car crash when he was a baby, him being left with a scar on his forehead, but was it really true???
Harry was sent to live with his Aunt and uncle Dursley, who treated him with no respect!.
Every birthday he had, he was given an old pair of his uncles socks, weather his cousin, would get 37 brilliant presents!
Poor Harry! having nothing to look forward too! until one day he gets his very first letter addressed to him!.
a whole thing starts happening when every letter came, uncle Dursley would burn them.
Whats so petrifying about a letter?.
It gets to a point when letters are raining furiously around there house so they hide in a house near the sea.
eventually, a half giant who is a helper at Hogwarts appears from the door, and says the most exiting line “your a wizard harry”
You must meet Hagrid! he is a kind funny half giant, who treats harry like a friend.
The letter was an invitation to Hogwarts!.
Harry goes to a wonderful school of witch craft and wizardry and meats his two best friends.

The first novel to one of the most famous series of all time. JK Rowling is able to construct a novel full of emotion, humour and mystery, leaving the reader impatient for the next novel.
The Philosopher’s stone captures the life of a normal 11 year old boy, Harry Potter whose life utterly changes upon the day of his birthday. His new life as a wizard sweeps the reader into a world of owls with letters, spells and wands and an enchanted school. A truly amazing read, which I would highly recommend to anyone.

harry potter is an amazing book about a young boy who is constantly tortured and abused by his aunt, uncle and cousin dudley who force him to sleep under the stairs n a cupboard and treat him with no respec as they know he has wizardly powers, but everything changes when harry is met on the morning of his birthday by hagrid a trusted wizard who helps him to start his wizard years. Harry then goes to hogwarts were he meets friends like hermione and ron but also enemies like draco malfoy who harry emmiedeletlt dislikes, i would rate this book a 10/10 as it is enjoyable, thrill seeking and fun to read and i love the characters as they all have very different character traits and are never boring.

J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone follows the story of a young eleven year old orphan boy who up to this point is nothing out of the ordinary, we soon find out that there is much more to him than meets the eye. This book is one of a kind, wizards, magic, danger, friendship and love brought together to form an awesome adventure. It provides the reader with an escape mechanism, a dream world, something we wish we were apart of. I think that it’s amazing how Rowling can create such a desirable universe within a book that has now become so much more. Many like myself find comfort in the warm pages of a book and if you’re apart of that group I can’t recommend Harry Potter enough.
“You’re a wizard Harry” is just the beginning of a crazy adventure to stop the return of the ever powerful Voldemort and find the Philosopher’s stone. Follow the ‘golden trio’ throughout the book and grow to love everything the Wizarding World has to offer. 10/10

Harry Potter really needs no introduction, I think absolutely everyone MUST read this series, I think it’s the most iconic series of the twenty first century. JK Rowling creates a new and enthralling world that is so well developed and thought out. I have never met anyone who dislikes this book! The plot is so so interesting and will keep you entertained at all stages! If you have already read this, you should reread! One of my favourite books of all time!

The Harry Potter series is my favourite series of all time – and it all starts with this fabulous book. Readers will adore being thrown into the mystical world of wizards in which Harry lives, and will ignite their love for cherished characters such as Hagrid, Hermione, Ron and Dumbledore.
The book focuses on 11 year-old Harry, who discovers he is a wizard after living his whole life in the ‘muggle’ word. He boards the train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and begins to discover this new, mysterious world. What follows is a mixture of excitement, mystery, laughter and suspense, a perfect start to a perfect series.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading, not just people who love fantasy or mystery, and give it a 10/10!

I really enjoyed reading Harry Potter and the philosopher’s stone as it is an exciting, adventurous and thrilling read. Throughout the book Harry uncovers secrets and magic in his school for witchcraft and wizardry called ‘Hogwarts’. My favourite character is Hermione Granger, one of Harry’s best friends, as she is witty and very smart. She is also the character I relate to the most as we both tend to stay on top of school work, rarely get into trouble and have a witty sense of humour.
I would say the part of the book which I disliked the most was when Harry and Draco Malfoy (Harry’s enemy) get a detention and have to go through the woods with Hagrid (the groundskeeper). Even though it was a mystery to see who the figure was underneath the dark cloak, and who also was killing unicorns to live longer, I thought that part of the book dragged on a little too long.

Harry Potter is the best! The Philosophers Stone is a really great book and introduces us to the magical world in an incredible way. JK Rowling makes the story seem so real and she makes the book so hard to put down! I adore all the Harry Potter series. They are the only magical, fantasy books I enjoy. The characters are incredible. I love Ron for is humour and loyalty and Harry for his kindness and courage. Hermione is one of my favourite characters. She is so strong, loyal, brave, intelligent and kind. She is a great female role model. This book is suspenseful and extraordinary. The relationships between the characters, especially the trio, is very beautiful. I couldn’t put the book down! It is definitely a must-read especially for those who love a sense of adventure and mystery.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is one of very few books that actually makes the magic seem truly real, it is a great read. My favourite part is when Hermione approaches Harry and Ron and tells them that they had better not come up with another idea to get them killed, or worse, expelled!!
My favourite characters are Mrs Weasley and Hermione. Mrs Weasley is so kind to Harry and she takes her under her wing and looks after him. Hermione has such a strong, extraordinary personality. No wonder she was put in Gryffindor.I would definitely recommend Harry Potter because the book itself has it’s unique touch from J.K.Rowling. (The Author.)

I have not read Harry Potter for almost 1 year now, but it is still my all time favourite book. This book is thrilling and exciting and I could not put this book down for almost a week.
The book follows a young boy who finds out he is a wizard! He finds two life long friends at Hogwarts a school for witchcraft and wizardry, and it is all about them trying to get out of mischief ( but failing miserably)
This book is magical and I would recommend it to absolutely anybody who wants a thrilling book to read. This book is for ages around 10-14 years old.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone, is a great book. It is the start of a wonderful journey. My favourite part of this book, is when Harry, Ron and Hermione work together to get past a series of, challenges on there way to defeat, Quirrel. My favourite characters are Fred and George Weasly because of there fun nature. My least favourite part of the book, is at the start, it is simply jsut a bit boring. I would highly recommend this book, it is a great book full of interesting ideas and alot of fun.

I absolutely love Harry Potter! There is so much suspense and adventure. It is about a boy called Harry who has been living with his mean aunt, uncle and cousin for the past 11 years. He has a lightning-shaped scar of his forehead but he never knows where it came from. But suddenly, he gets a letter and he goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He meets Ron and Hermione and they become close friends. The detail that JK Rowling goes into about all of the spells, potions, quidditch, talking pictures and moving staircases is amazing and it really lets you see into the world of Harry Potter. My favourite part is probably the first quidditch match. It was really interesting to read about the sport that JK Rowling had invented. I also liked when Harry, Ron and Hermione are getting through the challenges so they can save the stone and stop Voldemort.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good book even if you don’t usually like fantasy or magical books. After you read them you can read them again however many times you want because they are so good! I rate it a 10/10 because it was so amazing!

It is by the incredible author J.K Rowling, who has done an amazing job with the descriptive language and structure of the story. It is a fantasy of magic and wizardry based on a young boy by the name of Harry Potter who discovers his true identity: a wizard who can finally escape to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I loved the magical and relatable aspect of the book as well as the dark and suspenseful parts. I highly recommend this book to all ages because it covers all categories and topics in a book. It is very well written, it’s exciting, and it is one of the best selling books in the world. Once you read one you can’t stop!

This book takes you on Harry’s long, exciting and magical journey through Hogwarts – the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Throughout the year Harry makes friends and enemies, completes tricky challenges and goes through a series of scary adventures! That is why I love this book so much, you just want to keep on reading, the suspense builds up so quickly and his adventures just keep on going!!! I think I recommend this book to children 9+ because the language and the way they talk is sometimes tricky to understand. I rate this book a 8.75\10. It has so many amazing features to it and i think J.K Rowling did a great job!

I read this book a long time ago, but I think it started me on my love for reading. It is a very interesting and mildly scary book, full of adventure and a little misfortunate. It starts off gloomy because Harry has no parents and his aunt and Uncle are not very nice people, but that changes as he finds out he’s a wizard and moves to a school where he feels at homes and finds life long friends. This happiness is short-lived as Voldemort, an evil wizard tries to kill him when Harry learns the secret of his parents’ death and he has to defeat Voldemort before Voldemort defeats him and takes over the wizarding world. That is why I absolutely love this book and the ones to come as they are full of adventure, excitement and a feeling of wonder, a 10/10.

Harry Potter and the Philosophes Stone is an amazing book. It made me want to read the rest of the series. Descriptions of the characters extraordinary and made me picture than in my mind as I was reading the book the whole time. I was really looking forward to the next books as I read through this book. This book even helped me understand the movies when I finally watched them. This book study of quite slow as it is the story of Harry Potter before he came to Hogwarts after he got to Hogwarts it was hard to put down the book as it was so exhilarating.

It is really detailed and has a really good story line. It shows how Harry first arrives at Hogwarts and his journey of how he got his scar on his head. This book is full of Fantasy and Magic. It is not a hard or easy read. if you enjoy the book try the movie. Fully recommend it to people that like fantasy and magical creatures.

Starting a new school is hard, especially if it’s full of magic! Harry finds out that he’s a wizard and goes to Hogwarts which is a school full of wizards and witches. Harry starts off alone feeling that he can’t fit in, but he soon made 2 friends called Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. They became the best of friends throughout the whole book.
What I love about this book is that it has full of adventure and funny moments. My favorite part was when Harry, Ron, and Hermione first met each other because they didn’t know that they will be the best of friends through their school years in Hogwarts.
I really recommend this book to people who love adventure and magical mysteries. Even to people who don’t like adventure or magical stuff, this book can take you to your imagination. And guess what? It’s a book series! so there are more books after this which can build your imaginations even more! Happy Reading!

I can safely say that Harry Potter is probably the best series of books out there. The number of times that I have read the books and watched the movies you would think that it would be boring. But, it is amazing every time and all I want to do is read more. The book starts off with a young boy called Harry living with his muggle aunt and uncle after his mother and father died, by Lord Voldemort. The book follows his journey through his first year of school at Hogwarts where for the second time he faces off against his mortal enemy Lord Voldemort. During his first year, Harry finds his love for quidditch and his new friends Hermione and Ron. The three go on adventures to discover the Philosophers Stone and its hidden location as well as batteling the dark lord. I recommend this book for all ages, I loved the whole series and I have read it multiple times.

This is the book that started it all, the movies, merchandise, pop culture and brand that is Harry Potter. This book was highly captivating from the start and was very hard to put down. I loved how magical and mysteries the book was, offering new bits of information at every turn. The book did a great job of setting up the rest of the books, explaining how the wizard world works, as well as some of the people and creatures within it. Overall the book was highly enjoyable and definitely deserves the glowing reputation it has. I highly recommend this book for people of all ages.

It’s not worthy of all the praise it gets. sure it has some high points, and not many low points, but the average level is pretty low. i cant remember a single time i even smiled throughout the whole series. people and places are described well, and so are motivations. the intrigue in later installments are pretty decent. But the story doesn’t really hold up, and has quite a few plotholes. it’s a mediocre book i’d recommend to read in stages, the first two when you are around 8, the next two when you are around 10, and the rest after you’ve become 12 years old. this because the tone shifts very drastically from book 1 to book 7. it could be mistaken as differing series ifn’t the main character had the same name. Although my favourte part would have to be harry telling mouthoy that he can decide who his friends are himself standing up against bullys.

I recommend this book if you like fantasy and magical creatures.

I only read this book recently, a little late it may seem, especially when most people read it in their primary school years, but it’s a timeless book that I think everyone needs to read. I watched the movie many times before I read the book but the book painted the whole world in my mind and opened my imagination to the endless magical world. I like the way the book starts in comparison to the movie, we get to find out just a little more about Harry’s life with the Dursleys and of course get to discover his own thoughts about a lot more than the movie shows. My favourite character has got to be Hermione, she’s just really likeable and sweet. The special thing about the book is that it makes us all wait in anticipation for our Hogwarts acceptance letter, despite being older then 11, or even in our final years of school. There’s no bad part of the book either, nothing you wouldn’t read again and again. If you’re tossing up whether it’s too late to read the series and have already watched the movie, I’m telling you reading the book is worth it, no matter your age.

If you are considering reading the Harry Potter series: Do. It is an amazing series of a young boy who discovers that magic really does exist, and this book is the very start of a whole new world on paper. My favourite part of this book would have to be when Hagrid the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry’s game keeper tells Harry that he is, in fact a wizard. Learning that his aunt and uncle had known all along he develops a burning passion of hate towards them and can’t wait until September 1st when he can catch the train from Kings cross station to Hogwarts. My favourite characters of this book are Fred and George, Harry’s friend Ron’s older twin brothers. They are the ultimate pranksters and will stop at nothing until the school is in chaos. In the later books Ron’s little sister Ginny becomes my favourite character but she does not show much of an appearance in this book. I only have one thing left to say: read it, or you will regret it

I love this book. It is the first installation into a series of books that took over the globe. Everyone knows about Harry Potter and this is where it all began. It is about a world where it is full of wizards and witches. Harry is a young wizard who’s parents are dead and he is living with his uncle and aunt who despise him and the wizarding world. When he is eleven years old he gets a letter and goes to the magic school go Hogwarts. Here he learns many things about magic, spells and himself. This book is incredibly well written, and you won’t be able to put this book down. This is full of adventure, fantasy and action. I would rate this a 10/10 and I would recommend it for boys and girls 10+.

This book was so good! When I was reading it I felt like I was actually at Hogwarts instead of in my bed. My favourite character was Hermione because she is really smart and has a lot of character depth. This book had so many different fantasy animals in it too like dragons and unicorns. My favourite part was when Harry discovers he’s a wizard and his abusive relatives whisk him and them off to a little shack in the middle of nowhere.

I love this book SO much because when you are reading it, you feel like you are inside the book. I feel like I am actually in Hogwarts, watching the ghosts and duelling enemies. Although some bits are slightly frightening (such as the end), you feel like you are glued to the book and can’t wait to find out what happens next. This amazing book is exciting, fun and hard to stop reading! I think children should read this book when they are 7 or over because it has some hard words in it and some bits are slightly complicated.
Although this book has been made into a film (along with the rest of the Harry Potter series), I personally think that you should read the book before watching the films because you don’t get the thrill of turning the page and reading frantically to find out what happens next. If you like the sound of the book why don’t you read it? Plus, if you liked it, you can read the next 6 books in the series which are just as good as the first. Happy reading!

This book is about a young boy named Harry Potter who grows up with a rough childhood, he has no parents and is forced to live with his aunt and uncle who mistreat him compared to their biological child. This all changes when Harry turns 11 and he discovers he’s apart of a whole other world. I ended up really liking this book, at the beginning I felt like it was hard to get into and found it a bit boring but after the first few chapters and the book really begins I actually liked it. It’s not something I would read again and it’s not exactly my favourite but I still think it was a good read. If you compare it to its movie they match together really well and you can see how the movie is really similar to the book, which sometimes doesn’t happen with movies and books. This is a fantasy book, about wizards and mystical creatures. I think that this book is well suited for all readers, theres nothing in it that would prevent younger children from reading it. I think that this book would most appeal to people above the age of 11 though. I would rate this book as a 6/10 because I did like it but it’s not the best in my opinion.

I used to hate reading, but then my friend was reading it and she wouldn’t stop talking about it. So I thought since I didn’t know what book I wanted to read so I gave it a go. I picked up the book that day and once I started I couldn’t stop. This book changed my thoughts about reading, I couldn’t put the book down, it was great. It took my breath away, stole my mind. But reading Harry Potter gave me a few big advantages, it gives me something to do instead of going on my iPad and it has helped me a lot in English. So I highly recommend everyone to read the Harry Potter series!

They meet new people along the way that are good or bad and learn all about the school they go to The School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I first discovered Harry Potter by watching the movies but I never thought that i would read the books. Once I started the first book I could not put it down I was amazed at how addictive it was and once you start the series you can’t stop. My favourite thing about this book and how there is a new mystery in every chapter, once you think that they have solved the mystery a new problem occurs. I love how even when you reach the end of the book you still know that there is more to come and I can’t wait to start the next additions to the series. When I read these books I feel like I can leave our world and travel to a place where my imagination can run wild and I can believe in the impossible. I would give this book a 10/10 as it is one of my favourite books in the world and I am so glad that I found it.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets being the second and one of the most mind-blowing and astonishing novels in the Harry Potter series. It follows the school year of Harry and his peers in an exceptional magic school; Hogwarts. As the year goes on, mysterious occasions continue to occur as a result of the Chamber of Secrets opening once again. Harry along with his two closest friends persevere to find the answer to this unidentified incidence.
Just like the first, it is superbly written along with a fantastic explanation of each scene making it feel as though you, the reader, are apart of the story.

This movie is the perfect start to such a legendary series. In this book we discover ‘harry potter’ and the reader can already tell he is destined to do great things. This movie also perfectly introduces harry’s best friends, Ron and hermione and the teachers perfectly- the more likeable characters have a very friendly introduction and the dislikable characters are introduced to show the author’s dislike for them as well. This book, compared to the rest of the series is not very complex and not the most interesting, however it is still a great book that anyone of any age can read and enjoy. I give this book 4/5 stars, a very entertaining read!

The book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone is about a young orphan boy named Harry Potter with a mysterious past. Harry’s journey begins when he discovers his parents were a wizard and a witch, resulting in his acceptance into Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, were he makes close friendships with Hermione and Ron. The book follows Harry through his accomplishments and most of all his challenges as he tries to find out more about his parents, their life and himself. The book gets its name ‘the philosopher’s stone’ as there is a stone hidden within the Hogwarts school, Voldemort is out to get the stone as it grants its owner immorality, Harry and his friends put it upon themselves to make sure the stone doesn’t fall into the hands of Voldemort. Throughout the book Harry desperately tries to piece together his complicated life. My favourite character is Hermione, she is smart, sensible and loyal to her friends. I really loved reading this book and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

i really enjoyed reading this book, because I am interested more in fantasy and magical features. I believe that this book is really great because the characters in the book are well described. The book follows a young 11-year-old boy who is trying to recover from his parent’s death. This death is a huge part of wizarding history, because ‘he who should not be named’ killed Harry’s parents. He shortly realizes that he is special and needs to be brought to Hogwarts. Harry grows a long lasting friendship between a boy named Ron and a girl named Heromine. I really enjoyed this book because I feel that the author has well described the stories, and his created a world that is suitable for everyone to enjoy. The author is a huge part of the creation of the Harry Potter films. I rate this book a 10/10!

It took me a long time to start reading the Harry Potter series, though as soon as I started I couldn’t stop. The book it full of adventure and mystery and J.K Rowling always finds a way to keep you interested. Looking at the books, they are so big and thick and I always used to think they would be boring. Though it was the total opposite. I never usually enjoy fantasy and mysterious books but reading Harry Potter has changed my perspective of everything. As soon as you pick the book up you don’t want to put it down. My favourite character is Hermione because she is so strong and determined, I love how smart she is and strong minded. She is an inspiring role model who teaches you to always try your hardest and do the things you love. Overall I really love this book, and Also love all of the movies!

This was by far one of the best Harry Potter books. It wasn’t my favourite but it was definitely one of the best. I found it was a very interesting book and I felt like I was in the book at times. I love how the author puts you in the characters shoes. I felt so sorry for Harry, but I couldn’t stop reading. I got so into the book and I never wanted to put it down. I did find the start of the book was a bit boring though. I found that it wasn’t as interesting at the start. However as you keep reading it just keeps getting better and better. I loved this book so much and I have read it so many times. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I love this book so much, they are so entertaining and so funny, when I m reading them, I feel like I’m actually witnessing the story firsthand. I can’t decide what my favourite part is because I love the book so so much and everything is so amazing. I love every single character and their story. Each character is so funny, and I love all of them. I wouldn’t change anything about the book/movie because the storyline is so perfect and I love it the way it is. I would definitely recommend this book to others as it is an amazing book and a great read, the author wrote it in the way to make you feel like you are actually there with the characters experiencing what they are. If you enjoy reading fantasy, Sci-Fi, then this book is for you. But I believe that anyone would enjoy reading this book and should.

When I first started hearing about Harry Potter I didn’t think I would like it but I gave it a go and then I couldn’t put it down! I think I read it 3 days and I enjoyed every page of the book. It’s about Harry Potter who goes to the magical school Hogwarts. Him and his parents get attacked by Voldemort who manages to kill both of Harry’s parents but not Harry. He gets left with his horrid Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and ghastly cousin Dudley when he is rescued by Hagris the schools gamekeeper. He meets Ron and Hermione who stay by his side the whole book. It’s full of unexpected twists and turns and I fully recommend everyone at least to try and read this tremendous book. I would rate it a 9/10.

I Love the Harry Potter books so so much, all of them are so amazing and so entertaining, when you read them you feel like you are actually witnessing the story first hand. The first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone contains so many twists, turns, and is full of mysteries needing to be solved. Harry suffered 11 years of neglection and criticism, from his Aunt and uncle and there cruel son Dudley and On Harry’s 11 birthday he is visited by a giant called Hagrid who told him he was a wizard, and that his deceased parents had been a witch and a wizard. Hagrid informed Harry about his place at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. This book is so Intriguing and amazing, and I can not find faults in it. I believe it would be a favourite for everyone.

I really loved this book, and the concept of being magic, able to fly, making spells, and water coming out of no where is really amazing! It is a very detailed story and you should definetly read it if you are a fan of fantasy, magic or any sort of sorcery.
My favourite character was definetly Hermione, and I am so happy that there is someone like her in the book series, a brave and independent woman who stands up for herself. I particularly liked the part where she said “Its Leviosa not Leviosaa”, that part was very funny. I love that they all have their own individual houses due to their personalities, and overall it is a very enjoyable book and I reccomend it to 7+ years of age, so definetly add it to the list if you havent aready.

This is the first book of the Harry Potter series, the book is about a boy who thinks he’s ordinary. His name is Harry Potter and even though his life at start is full of loneliness and not many opportunities, his life is turned around quick. Harry Potter is taken to another world. He’s now at Hogwarts, a school for Wizards and where mysterious events take place. This book is one big adventure which keeps you wanting to read onwards. It’s full of adventure, it’s mysterious and it’s magical too. This is a short novel that would be recommended for children wanting a bit of imagination involved and is full of excitement.

harry potter and the philosophersstone is such an enchanting book even though i have read the whole series many times i remember particualy enjoying this books story line and magical beginning to a well loved series.
the harry potter series includes the lot, humour, adventure, sadness and romance. in thefirst book i loved that three eleven year olds take matters in to there on hands to save their beloved school, i found it so funny that how seriously they took every thing and how much conflict there was is the book.
this book is and always will bea classic!

Harry Potter and the philosophers stone is the first book of a fantastic series. I love the part when Hermione granger comes into the compartment because she is so attached and friendly to harry and sarcastic with Ron. I also love when she sates to Ron, “You have dirt on your nose, just here”. Later on they go through a series of trials in order to save the philosophers stone from who they think is Snape. In the end they realise that it’s actually professor Quirrell who was being possessed by Voldemort. Even though it doesn’t involve much action it’s still very interesting to read how he got through his school year and I find it really funny how they think that they are better than everyone else. My favourite scene is when they are in charms and Hermione sates to Ron, “ Your doing it wrong, it’s leviOsar not leviosar”. I love reading how they progress through the year and I find it a very interesting novel

Whilst this book was clever and unique at the time i do believe Harry potter and the series based around him is quite in fact over rated. whilst unique for a while it has so many other better written stories along the same lines of magic. I found this book didn’t make me want to keep reading nor was it extremely engaging for a book rated so highly. Whilst the books weren’t great the movies were better and i found them slightly more and more enjoyable as they went along. overall i didn’t enjoy this book but did find the rest of the series slightly better and the movies even better but still not great. 3.5/10

This is %100 the best book I’ve ever read. The story line is amazing the magical creatures are incredible, I just cant believe that J.K Rowling created a whole new world. It’s as if she is herself a God, that just created her world on trains, in cafes and walking around. The backgrounds for each character are brilliant. It is a great book to read to your kids and a great book for all ages.

Harry Potter is an inspiring book to become something you have never dreamed of being and reach out side of your familiarities in life. Harry Potter is a one of a kind book series and I loved every word written. Ron Weasley is my favourite character because of his awkward and definitely hillarious sense of humour. His famous jokes gets me every time. My favourite part of Harry Potter and Philosopher’s Stone is when Harry is told he is a wizard by half-giant Hagrid, the grounds keeper at Hogwarts. I like it when Hagrid gives Harry’s pig of a cousin Dudley a pigs tail. Many times did I read that particular section of the book over and over again.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone wiling for a great book and a one of a kind story!!

I have recently started re-reading the Harry Potter series, and the first book just sets the scene for readers so well. My favourite character is Hermione Grainger because she is a great role model. I can relate to her because she knows what she wants, tries her best at everything and makes the most of every situation. It’s funny that Ron Weasley rolls his eyes at her because he thinks she is showing off, but she doesn’t let it bother her. I definitely recommend this book to anyone from 7 and older. And if you haven’t read it for a while, then read it again!! I rate this book a 10/10.

I really enjoyed this book because it is different to so many book out there. There is magic and fantasy that grips you at every turn and makes you want to continue reading. The book is a thrilling tale that takes you on a journey through adventures of three eleven year olds and this is what made me enjoy it so much. These kids weren’t normal, they were different and this made it such an interesting and creative book to follow along with. At the end of the first book you are left wondering what the rest of Harry’s years at Hogwarts will be like and this makes you want to read the next book and the book after that. It’s a great first book to a truly amazing series.

I really enjoyed reading this book, because I am interested more in fantasy and magical features. I believe that this book is really great because the characters in the book are well described. The book follows a young 11-year-old boy who is trying to recover from his parent’s death. This death is a huge part of wizarding history, because ‘he who should not be named’ killed Harry’s parents. He shortly realizes that he is special and needs to be brought to Hogwarts. Harry grows a long lasting friendship between a boy named Ron and a girl named Heromine. I really enjoyed this book because I feel that the author has well described the stories, and his created a world that is suitable for everyone to enjoy. The author is a huge part of the creation of the Harry Potter films. I rate this book a 10/10!

This was by far one of the best Harry Potter books. It wasn’t my favourite but it was definitely one of the best. I found it was a very interesting book and I felt like I was in the book at times. I love how the author puts you in the characters shoes. I felt so sorry for Harry, but I couldn’t stop reading. I got so into the book and I never wanted to put it down. I did find the start of the book was a bit boring though. I found that it wasn’t as interesting at the start. However as you keep reading it just keeps getting better and better. I loved this book so much and I have read it so many times. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is my favourite out of all the Harry Potter books. I really really enjoyed it. This book was very well written. This book is about a boy who lost his parents to an evil wizard when he was a baby so he went to live with his uncle and auntie that didn’t like him and treated him so badly. Eventually Harry was sent a letter from Hogwarts a wizard school, this is when Harry learnt he was a wizard. I really liked reading this book and in the movie my favourite part was when he goes shopping for what he needs at Hogwarts. I recommend this book to everyone as this book is really suitable for all ages. I rated this book 9 out of 10.

This is the first of 7 books in the Harry potter story and it has to be one of my favourites because it sets up the story for the rest of the series and we are introduced to this magical place. We get to see onto the life of Harry, which is probably my favourite character as he is very strong and does what is right for not only himself but all the people. JK Rowling is an amazing writer and I give full credit to her for coming up with such an amazing series. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and also to continue the series.

I think this book is a book we have all read and loved! This book is now a classic and a fantastic read. I love the way the book is written. Harry thought he was an ordinary boy until he received his letter from Hogwarts informing him that he was actually a wizard! I felt sorry for Harry at the start because of the way the Dursleys were treating him yet they were very reluctant to send Harry to Hogwarts. This book has some really cool parts to it like the chapters in Diagon Alley. There is also some fantastic quotes from this book that will remain with you forever. The best part is that when you have finished reading it there are other books in this series that are just as enjoyable. This book it full of mystery which is why it is so appealing to so many people who love it! It is written with lots of detail and and you can easily image what it would be like to be a student at Hogwarts! This book makes you question who to trust and who your real friends are. I love the books more than the movies, so definitely read the books first! I would recommend this book to everyone of all ages!

Out of all the harry potter books, the ‘Philosophers Stone’ is definitely my favourite.
I particularly like the way JK Rowling connects the reader between Harry’s life with muggles and the relationship with his parents who were Hogwarts wizards. Harry realises his true connection is where his parents lives were, and his extended family are at Hogwarts.
I like this the best because it introduces us to Harry and all of the other characters. It has so many twists and turns that make you want to keep reading. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for fantasy, adventure and drama.

The first Harry Potter book was a fantastic insight into the Harry Potter series. I loved this book because we have so many questions that need to be discovered and this kept me hanging right to the final book. This book is about a boy who lives with his mean aunty and uncle and then he finds out that his a wizard. So he then goes to a school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn all the skills of magic. My favourite character is Hermione because she is very smart and intelligent. She is so proper and bossy I think she is just hilarious. I would recommend this book to people aged around 12+ so they can fully understand it. I would also rate this book a 9/10 because it is a real read! I enjoyed this book so much and hope to keep on reading the series.

Harry Potter is a film that I could watch over and over again. It follows the story of Harry Potter who grows up in England as a normal person and then travels to Hogwarts the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I find the whole story line intriguing as we follow Harry making friends with Ron and Hermione and the adventures they go on together. I would recommend this film to anyone above the age of 12 as it has some scary parts, i would also recommend it to anyone who enjoys mystical, romantic and adventurous movies. I rate this film 9/10 as it has so much detail and is so interesting.

The first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is full of twists, turns, and mystery. Set in a magical and unique world following, in particular, three young, curious yet mischievous students of Hogwarts school for Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is never a dull moment with magic and action all throughout making it almost impossible to put the book down. Clearly describing each character’s personality, while setting up the scenery in this new and distinctive place, creating a love for all the characters and the want to read on.

Some might say I am a tiny bit obsessed with all of the Harry Potters, but how can you blame me, I mean it’s Harry Potter. So basically Harry has been neglected by the Dursley’s for 11 years now every since Voldemort ( He Who Should Not Be Named ) killed Harry’s parents. His mother saved is life. Harry keeps on getting bombarded with letters inviting him to come to Hogwarts School Of Wizardry, but the Dursley’s never let him read them. The Dursley’s get so sick on this mail everyday that they stay in this weird lighthouse thing in the water. Hagrid ( the Hogwarts Game keeper ) comes and gives him the letter. of course Harry does not know that he is a wizard yet until Hagrid tells him. Hagrid also brought in a birthday cake for harry and Dudley the Dursley’s son steals it and eats it. Hagrid then gives him a pig tail and heads off. Anyway a lot of things happen in this time and Harry ends up catching the Hogwarts express form platform 9 and 3/4 to Hogwarts. He meets Ron and Hermione along the way on the train. The 3 of them get their houses picked from the sorting hat. They are all in Gryffindor. I could write a lot more about this book but i would be here for days, so I will leave it there.
I would highly recommend getting into the harry potter books and movies as they are full of horror and jump scares, they are dramatic and majestic. JK Rowling must be a very creative person to think of this amazing story line!!!

I loved the story line and enjoyed watching Hermione, Ron and Harrys’ friendship come to life. I enjoyed how she described the characters especially the bad ones and just absolutely loved the book.

This is an amazing book for all ages. As the series goes on each year Harry is a year older each time, as he gets older the language and Harrys thoughts change, which is a great aspect of the book.
It starts with Harry, a boy living with his horrible Aunt and Uncle, who treats Harry unfairly towards his cousin Dudley who is spoiled. But on Harrys 11th birthday things change. He starts getting letters from Hogwarts, and he learns that he isa wizard, makes friends and finds out about the greatest dark wizard of all time, Voldemort, who killed his parents, and who is rumored to still be alive.
I would definitely recommend this book! I gave it a 10/10.

‘Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone’ by J.K Rowling is one of her best books. I really enjoyed the story set out because its not jumbled u and confusing but fluent and calming to read. the story about harry living with his aunt and uncle after his parents died a horrible death is quite a funny scene because of how Harry’s cousin is spoiled and his parents give him anything. eventually harry escapes from his horrid home and goes to start a new life at Hogwarts wizard and witch school, although its nothing what he thought it would be. the action and fighting moments in the story are very enjoyable to read because of how Rowling describes the moment.
altogether its an amazing book and I recommend it for everyone!

The story of a young boy that lives with his mean aunt, uncle and their spoiled son, Dudley Dersely. His young life is just a mystery that he uncovers when he enters the wizard world and attend to Hogwarts a school of wizards and witches. He starts off by getting his supplies for school and i mean really weird. He meets new friends Ron and Hermione, adventures and secrets start to un ravel as those best friends look through the school’s history and powers. Harry is then learning the history of his parents, and will he find out? you would have to read!!!

I love this book so much! It is the first book in a magical series that is my all time favourite set of books. This book is suitable for all ages and is interesting no matter your age and gender. I’ve read this book 3 times now, and each time I pick up on something I hadn’t realised before. This book never gets old and boring, it is one of my all-time favourites!
Although this book is a fantasy book, I do think that anyone would enjoy it, no matter which genre of book you like, it is suitable for anyone. This book is probably the most innocent bok in the series, it gets a bit darker after this. So I would recommend for a young child to read with a parent if they are interested in reading more books in the series.

The first Harry Potter book was my favourite! Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is all about Harry’s journey to Hogwarts, a magical school for young Witches and Wizards! Harry learns that he is a wizard from a giant of a man named Hagrid, the grounds keeper, who he soon become friends with. He also meets Ron and Hermione, who he also befriends. But Harry also starts too learn about his past. The past that gave him is world-famous lightning bolt scar.
My favourite character is Hermione because she isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She is a good friend to Harry and Ron and keeps them out of trouble! Well, tries at least. I also like her because she is a bookworm, much like myself
I liked the book because of all the action that the three friends undertake. Learning magic spells would be amazing!
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys magic, action, and fantasy! If you haven’t already read the Harry Potter Books, I strongly suggest you do, because I wish that I had of read them sooner!

Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone is the first book in the series and in my opinion would have to be either the best or one of the best. If you are interested in fantasy stories than I would definitely recommend this book.The story is narrated by Harry Potter who has just found out that he is in fact a wizard and has been invited to attend Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Once you begin reading this book, you will not want to put it down. I would recommend this book to anybody over the age of 10 and I would rate this book 9.5/10.

I bare great passion, deep affection, fondness and tenderness for this superb fiction novel. I was so intrigued by a flip of each page because of how many wondrous twists and turns the magnificent author threw me on. My ‘aquantince’ Stephanie exclaims she had never read a book of such fine standard. My step Mother vocalises how much this heartfelt paperback fills her bucket with calmness, coolness and collectiveness throughout her time pursuing this book . I would proportion this marvellous novel a 9 / 10m, and would without beyond a doubt recommend this hardback to any living soul on this fantabulous planet sphere that our Lord God created, creatively.

This book is a perfect start to the Harry Potter series. It begins by giving you a little insight into the life of Harry and young boy who only dreams of living a privileged life. Little does he know what is ahead of him. The characters in this book are fantastic, they are all different and very intriguing and interesting, but all in very different ways. The characters are all also very relatable especially because they are all of similar age to us, so that makes the book fantastic as well. The story line and plot is very well planned in terms of the sequence of events. It has been very cleverly thought out and adds a sense of mystery. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, but I warn you, once you start it will be very difficult to put down!

I think that this book is the perfect start to a perfect series. I think this movie was an amazing start to an amazing series of fun adventures. Harry Potter all started on his eleventh birthday, orphan Harry Potter discovers that he’s a wizard, so off he goes to Hogwarts School to learn the ways of the wand. But it isn’t all lessons and making friends: Harry is destined for a showdown with the evil Lord Voldemort.

I think of this book like, the perfect book to start off a perfect series. I absolutely loved ALL of the harry potter books, but my three favourites are ‘Philosophers Stone’ ‘Goblet of Fire’ and ‘Deathly Hallows’.
I have always preffered books to movies, and this is no exception. I feel like when reading books, I can let my imagination run wild, whereas with a movie, you are confined to what you see in front of you. J.K. Rowling is one of my favourite authors and I loved the whole series.
Overall I would rate this book 10/10, I can’t flaw it!! The plot was amazing, and it was beautifully written, the first book, I think, is suitable for a variety of people, but I would say for readers 7+ .

Once you’ve read the first book you have to read the whole series. For me this book is one of the very few books I can read over and over and over again, and not get bored or sick of reading it. If you haven’t already watched the Harry Potter movie I would definitely recommend to read the book series first, then watch the movie.

I really enjoyed reading this book, as it is the first of 7, and the beginning of a 7 year adventure (26 years if you count the 19 at the end of deathly hallows) and it was descriptive and it is for all ages. I enjoyed the part where Ron, Harry and Hermione all meet for the first time, in the train carriage. I really recommend this book for people who are looking for something to read.

I have absolutely loved this book and movie and i feel like it gets better every time that I watch or read it again. This is a great read about the incredible adventures of Harry Potter, and his friends. My favourite character is probably Hermione but i don’t really know why, i just really like her. I think both the movie and the book are great but, as always, the book has so much more detail and little parts that the movie just didn’t show. It was an extremely exciting book and is an amazing beginning to the harry potter series. I defiantly recommend this book to everyone. It is such a fabulous book and film!! I rate it a 9/10 🙂

Harry Potter is a book that I myself particularly like. What’s a book without a little supernatural fantasy? Plain dullness that eats your soul like the dementors. Plain garbage. This comment does not conern only the first book, but the whole series! You think this book was magical? Try the whole series! I can guarantee it will be wicked! The book basically is telling the readers that when life is hard throw some pixie dust and continue to wave your wand without stopping and never give up to achieve your dreams like the happy person you should be. >3

What a great book , this book for me is one of my favs and defiantly a re-read ,from the very first chapter with us meeting Harry Potter as an eleven year old that is kept by this Auntie and Uncle (under the stair case ) and who is looked after badly by them, we instally fall in love with him and those glass haha .For Harry to them find out all these amazing thing about his Mum and Dad, good and bad ,sad and happy is the best adventure l have been on for a very long time . We meet some of the most wonderful characters ever written on paper ,Hagrid ,Ron ,Albus the list could go on , good and bad characters all make up such an amazing first chapter to this world of Harry Potter. The description of al the places are truly fantastic and make you feel like you are really there and you can almost smell all those wonderful meals they have in the great hall , What a great book . l give it one million /one million l loved it

This book will inspire you, it will lift your mood and brighten your day. I have read the whole Harry Potter series over 7 times; in which I laughed, cried and loved.I stayed up very late nights to early mornings until my eyelids were to heavy. I first read the series in Grade 3/4 and the mere thought or metion of Harry Potter brings a smile to my face.
The plot is enlightening and follows Harry Potter in his first year at the magical wizarding school Hogwarts. Little does he know he is a wizard until letters and owls and Hagrid. He then meets Best Friends Ron and Hermionie and they save the school of Hogwarts and the whole wizarding community. I would recomend this to any 9 years+ and would rate this stunning book 10/10.

I read this book in my primary school years, I found that it was very gripping and I really enjoyed it. I don’t think everyone would though. Depending on what you enjoy the Harry Potter series is of all lovers of mystery, magic and adventure. magic being they key. Harry is a young boy, his parents killed by the evil Voldemort. Something held Voldemort back from killing Harry that night though, he just couldn’t do it.
harry has grown up and goes to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. They learn that harry is special, his parents were special at this school. Harry evolves wonderful friendships and great memories at Hogwarts. But there is always Voldemort for Harry to worry about. This book includes lots of fun and adventure. It’s a great read. I would recommend this book anyone who hasn’t read it before!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone
I only read this book recently, a little late it may seem, especially when most people read it in their primary school years, but it’s a timeless book that I think everyone needs to read. I watched the movie many times before I read the book but the book painted the whole world in my mind and opened my imagination to the endless magical world. I like the way the book starts in comparison to the movie, we get to find out just a little more about Harry’s life with the Dursleys and of course get to discover his own thoughts about a lot more than the movie shows. My favourite character has got to be Hermione, she’s just really likeable and sweet. The special thing about the book is that it makes us all wait in anticipation for our Hogwarts acceptance letter, despite being older then 11, or even in our final years of school. There’s no bad part of the book either, nothing you wouldn’t read again and again. If you’re tossing up whether it’s too late to read the series and have already watched the movie, I’m telling you reading the book is worth it, no matter your age.

In primary school I always used to hear the older kids rant and rave about the Harry potter series. So in grade 1, I borrowed this book out from the school library and gave it a crack. It was way too hard as a 6 year old, but the following year I tried again, and I fell in love with the entire series.
The Philosopher’s Stone sets up the scene for the rest of the series so nicely, introducing Harry, a neglected wizard who was abandoned to live with his rude and arrogant muggle aunt, uncle and cousin. When he discovers his true identity and ends up in the magical world of Hogwarts and witchcraft, every page is filled with crazy words, spells and creatures that allow your imagination to run wild. It’s a great book because it gives you the opportunity to transfer J.K Rowling’s writings into extraordinary visions in your mind. I think it’s every kid’s dream to wake up one morning and realise that you’re actually not a muggle, I know that applies to my childhood self!
It’s such a classic and must read for ANYONE of ALL AGES, no matter what genres you normally read or even if you don’t read at all, the HP series includes something that appeals to everyone, and once you start, you don’t stop until the final page of the Deathly Hallows.

The Harry Potter series of books are a wonderful escape into the fantasy world of wizardry. They are well written books and I, an adult, could not put them down. J.K. Rowlings has captured the imaginations of adults as well as children. Having received an email entitled “Harry Potter Repackaged”, I must say “GET A LIFE AND DON’T TAKE YOURSELVES SO SERIOUSLY!” to the people who have produced that video. Apparently they think that the Harry Potter books have unlocked queries about the power of witchcraft and made evil look innocent! Their actions are the evil ones their suggestions are dangerous and could inspire the very issues that they are trying to avert! The bottom line is -you should not “real”ize fantasy and that’s exactly what they are doing. How dare they!!! To me, this is as absurd as the people who pronounced Enid Blyton’s “Noddy” books to be unsuitable as well.
In my opinion, this is wrong! The books are purely entertaining and do not even pretend to be real!!
Let’s celebrate the fact that J.K.Rowlings has inspired children to read books again.We should also give children credit for being able to distinguish between fact and fantasy. Everybody knows the difference, or so I thought!

I don’t know why I waited so long to read this series, but I have to say it did change the way I read and see my books. Harry Potter thinks he is an ordinary boy. He lives with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley, who are mean to him and make him sleep in a cupboard under the stairs. Then Harry starts receiving mysterious letters and his life is changed forever. He is whisked away by a beetle-eyed giant of a man and enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The reason: Harry Potter is a wizard! The first book in the “Harry Potter” series makes the perfect introduction to the world of Hogwarts.This exciting and adventurous book is recommended for 12 and above. I would give this book 10/10.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is such a great book! This book follows the story of Harry Potter who’s parents were killed by Lord Voldemort when he was very young. He had been left to live with his very non magical aunty, uncle and cousin. When he is accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it comes as a big surprise. At Hogwarts, Harry has face many very serious and testing challenges head on. My favourite character is Ron because he is very funny and never take anything to seriously. I would rate this book a 9.5/10 and would recommend it for people 8 years and over.

This is seriously the best book ever! It is the start of the Harry Potter series and is amazing. I finished this book in about 2 days. It grabs you in on the first sentence and doesn’t let you go until the last word! It is a must read for anyone, 10 years to 100 years! It will make your imagination go wild and it is only the start of a seven book series and I am sure you will want to read the next ones!

I recommend the Harry Potter Series. Although they came out a long time ago I recently read them and they brought back so many memories. My favourite book in this series would definitely have to be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. My favourite character is Hermione because I have always wanted to be her and she is a great role model in the world of magic. I can relate to her because she is a girl who knows what she wants and tries to see the best about everyone she meets. My least favourite part of this book is when many of my favourite characters were killed during battles. I definitely recommend people to read this book if they haven’t or read it again if they already have. I rate this book a 10/10.

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I used to hate reading, but then my older sister told me to start reading Harry Potter. I am so happy that I listened to her. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have read all the books I’ve read today. I couldn’t put it down whatsoever. I was such a great book with many plot twists. I rate this book 9/10. I really love this book and I recommend it to everyone who wants a good read. You will be wanting to read the next book right away.

I used to hate reading, but then my friend was reading it and she wouldn’t stop talking about it. So I thought since I didn’t know what book I wanted to read so I gave it a go. I picked up the book that day and once I started I couldn’t stop. This book changed my thoughts about reading, I couldn’t put the book down, it was great. It took my breath away, stole my mind. But reading Harry Potter gave me a few big advantages, it gives me something to do in stead of going on my iPad and it has helped me a lot in english. So I highly recommend everyone to read the harry Potter series!

When Harry finds out that he is a wizard he goes Hogwarts and meets Ron and Hermione, he plays on the quidditch team and all seems to be perfect. But when he finds out that Voldemort is still out there looking for the philosophers so that he can be immortal harry must stop him and professor Quirrell from getting it. This is a great book and I would recommend it to all audiences.

Harry Potter is a amazing book series that takes you to the magical world of witches and wizards. I found it amazing how many little things brought this book together. The detail was great. I can’t name a favourite part of this book, The Philosophers stone, because there were just too many! Another thing that is really cool about this series is that you can actually buy some of the books they talk about in the stories and you can buy some of the lollies they eat in the wizarding world. It’s an awesome book series and is probably one of the most famous.

I love this book. It is the first installation into a series of books that took over the globe. Everyone knows about Harry Potter and this is where it all began. It is about a world where it is full of wizards and witches. Harry is a young wizard who’s parents are dead and he is living with his uncle and aunt who despise him and the wizarding world. When he is eleven years old he gets a letter and goes to the magic school go Hogwarts. Here he learns many things about magic, spells and himself. This book is incredibly well written, and you won’t be able to put this book down. This is full of adventure, fantasy and action. I would rate this a 10/10 and I would recommend it for boys and girls 10+.

I loved this book. Everyone knows Harry Potter, whether the movies or the books, and they are truly amazing. This book was incredible because you get to go into a new world of wizards, witches, magic, Hogwarts and amazing adventures. My favourite part of the book was probably when Harry and Ron had to run through platform 9 and 3/4. This was crazy and really just the whole book was amazing because I wished that I could go to Hogwarts – I wish that this was real! My favourite character is Harry Potter, because even in the first novel at age 11, he’s still so brave, loyal and never gives up on his friends. I can relate to Hermione and Harry in the book, because some parts of their personalities are like mine; I’m loyal to my friends and hardworking at school like Hermione. I don’t have a least favourite part in this book because all of it is so great. JK Rowling can take the reader into the world of Hogwarts and you can imagine everything, so I wouldn’t change anything at all. I would definitely recommend this book to literally anyone. It does say it’s a “children’s book” but it’s really not. Adults read Harry Potter, teenagers do, so really anyone who loves adventures, magic, action and fantasy, or just anyone who loves a great book.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone is a must read book, it is an all round favourite even is you are not into wizarding books/films. Personally my favourite part of the book is when Harry, Ron and Hermione Play real wizarding chess and Ron sacrifices himself, this shows us bravery and courage, something we all need in our own lives. This is my favourite part because the three of them are together helping and encouraging each other doing what all friends need to do. Hermione Granger is my favorite character in this story because she triggers something that makes you like her, she is determined, smart and a likable character. I would Recommend this book to people of all ages, if i were to rate this book it has to be 10 out of 10, an action packed, adventure filled magical journey, that you need to take.

Having read this book upon it’s release when I was only three years old, I did not understand it very much. Then I read it again when I was older. And again. And again… And again. This book was the beginning of my childhood and will forever remain my favourite book in the Harry Potter series and my favourite book of all time.

This is one of my all time favourite books! JK Rowling has created a great series of books. It is a magical and fantasy kind of book. It may take a little while to read but it is worth the read. The story line is awesome and you always want to know what happens next. I love the character Ron. He is so funny and I love his red hair. I would rate this book a 7 and a half out of ten.

I loved this book! I think J.K Rowling did an amazing job! My favourite charecters whould have to be Hermione and Ron because they are both funny in compleate oppisite ways! I would deffinatly recomend it, 10/10! My favourite part would have to be when Harry finds out he is a wizard and when HArry is in Diagon Alley. Harry, Ron and Hermione and all insparational charecters in their seprate ways.
Harry: Becausse he is so brave and is willing to put himself in front of others.
Ron: Because he is a charecter that is funny and is always happy.
Hermione: Because she is so smart and is always a good friend no matter what.
I think this is the best story in all of the Harry Potter series and is a book you should read ASAP!!!

This is my most favourite Harry Potter video of them all. I have watched it countless times and still get goosebumps at the scary parts. My favourite character is probably Hermione because she thinks she is always right and is just so good at every thing which is funny. My favourite part in this movie is when Harry finds out he is a wizard from the letter to Hogwarts, it just changes his whole life from that point. It is such a superb movie and book. I would recommend it to anyone older then 11 because it could get a little bit confusing for the younger ones. Everybody in my family loves this movie.

I have absolutely loved this book and movie and it seems to get better every time that I watch or read it. My favourite character is probably Ron because he is funny and is just really cool. my favourite part is when Harry finds out that he is a wizard and his whole live changes. Harry is a really loveable, brave and amazing character and he has some great friends always by his side. Hermione is a great friend and Harry and Ron wouldn’t have done any of the great things that do without Hermione. I defiantly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is such a fabulous book and film!!

If you are considering reading the Harry Potter series: Do. It is an amazing series of a young boy who discovers that magic really does exist, and this book is the very start of a whole new world on paper.
My favorite part of this book would have to be when Hagrid the Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry’s game keeper tells Harry that he is, in fact a wizard. Learning that his aunt and uncle had known all along he develops a burning passion of hate towards them and can’t wait until september 1st when he can catch the train from Kings cross station to Hogwarts.
My favorite character or in this case characters of this book are Fred and George, Harry’s friend Ron’s older twin brothers. They are the ultimate pranksters and will stop at nothing until the school is in chaos. In the later books Ron’s little sister Ginny becomes my favorite character but she does not show much of an appearance in this book.
I only have one thing left to say: read it, or you will regret it.

This was by far one of the best Harry Potter books. It wasn’t my favourite but it was definitely one of the best. I found it was a very interesting book and I felt like I was in the book at times. I love how the author puts you in the characters shoes. I felt so sorry for Harry, but I couldn’t stop reading. I got so into the book and I never wanted to put it down. I did find the start of the book was a bit boring though. I found that it wasn’t as interesting at the start. However as you keep reading it just keeps getting better and better. I loved this book so much and I have read it so many times. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I really loved reading the Harry Potter books, but Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone was by far one of my favourite. I loved how it threw you right into action by going straight to Hogwarts. I really loved how they introduced all of the characters and my favourite was Ron and Hermione as they both were so funny! Harry Potter was a great character too as he was very determined and persistent. Once I started reading it I got so hooked and I finished it in about 2 days! I loved the movie as well and during the movie I got to see more of Harry Potter’s quirks. The plot line always left me guessing all the times and I just had to keep reading to find out more. I loved how it was written and I would recommend this book to people 10 and up. I would rate this book a 9/10.

I remember Harry Potter as being one of my favourite childhood books. Ron will always be my favourite character and I admire him for his quirks. The plot line in this book is so creative and I loved the fact that when I started reading it I could never put it down. My favourite part is when Harry finds the stone in his pocket at the end amongst Lord Voldemort. This book was a great start to an excellent series of books and films. I really liked the fact that at the start it was all sort of mysterious and the information was not given away too quickly so it kept pretty much all readers interested. Hermione is also another one of my favourite characters, in this book she always seems to be in control and works really hard at school to be the best little know-it-all. I would recommend this book to people of all ages, especially if they want a very thrilling and adventurous fantasy book.

I loved it more than any other book I have ever read.I’d have never thought I’d like it much and I have realised that I am won’t survive without J.K Rowling on the planet! this book is called Harry Potter.i think this book is very exiting and thrilling i liked it and i am a fan of jk rawlings books. at the end of evry chapter there is always a cliff hanger. there is harry,ron and hermierny. these are the good pepole in the book they try and get the phersolerpher stone but voldermort put his face on the prefessors head. hary try to get the stone and he gets it and trys to get it but he makes fire and he gets injured. over all found this a very cool book.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is definitely my favourite book of the Harry Potter series, and of all the books I’ve read! The story line is engrossing, the characters seem so real, and you find yourself living at Hogwarts (a school for wizards and witches) with Harry, Ron and Hermione and living out their adventures. JK Rowling is so imaginative and creative, and always leaves you wanting more. My favourite character is Hermione, not just because she’s the main female character of the book, but I can relate to her. She works hard to do well in school, thinks logically and tries to stay calm in very stressful situations. I would recommend this book to EVERYONE! If you haven’t read the series, read it! You’ll love every second of this book, and like me find yourself wishing you could go to Hogwarts!

When Harry was a baby his parents were killed by Lord Voldemort leaving Harry to live with his mean Aunt and Uncle and rude cousin Dudley. Harry was not liked by the Dursleys and he didn’t like them. The Dursleys did not care for Harry but gave all their time and attention to Dudley. But one day he gets a strange letter in the post, telling him he is a wizard! Harry’s life is turned on it’s head as he experiences things he has only ever dreamed of.
This book is amazing! I would strongly recommend this book from ages 10+. I love the way J.K. Rowling has included other mysteries along the way, not just focusing on the main problem. The way she describes different people/objects/scenes leaves you with a vivid picture in your mind! One you start this book you won’t be able to stop!

One of my favourite parts in this book is when Harry is taken to a Diagon Alley, a wizarding town where he can shop for all the things he needs for school, and more. This part is so magical, and will make you wish that you were a wizard just like Harry.
I give this book a 10/10. I guarantee that you will NEVER forget this captivating book.

This novel is a great one to start the series, it leaves so many questions at the end and makes you want to read more. It felt like I was actually there. He also has to fight his enemy Tom Riddle also known as Voldemort who killed his parents and gave him a scar when he was just a baby. I started reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone this year! I am enjoying it so much and it really puts and clear image of what it’s all about in your mind. This is the first book at of the series, It’s about boy (Harry) who gets accepted into Hogwarts witchcraft and wizardry school and meets his two best friends Hermione and Ron. They get into a sorts of trouble but managed to find there way out. This is a great book and I recommend it to aged 11 and up! I rate this book 10 out of 10!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first book in this very captivating series. This story is about Harry Potter who finds out he is a wizard and is accepted into the best witchcraft and wizardry school in history Hogwarts. At the school some important friends and has some challenging adventures throughout the novel.
My favourite character is Hermione. She is the smartest out of all of them and always has a well thought out plan.
I loved the magic of the world that Harry Potter lives in and the clever descriptions of all the feasts and parties.
I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a well written imaginative story and who enjoys being taken to another world, you really do feel like you are at Hogwarts!
I guarantee that when you read the first book you will want to read the rest.

I think that this book is for ages 9 and up because it is a pretty long book also there is a lot of text in the so it takes some time to read. But if you read books fast than it might not take you as long. I would rate this book an 9.5 out of ten because it is a really good book it is interesting the book has a great storyline and the book is really good. One of my favourite parts in the book would be when Harry, Hermione and Ron try and get the philosopher’s stone and they have to do all types of things to get the stone. This book is great and if you seen the movie and have not read the book than you are miss out! The book is always better than the movie (i think) because the movie can not fit all of the things in it and the book just tells you more. Overall this book is great,fun and interesting and if you like the movie than you will love the book.

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is the start of the Harry Potter series and it is about a boy named Harry Potter who is told is a wizard and then becomes enrolled in Hogwarts a school for young wizards and witches to learn their powers. It is a wonderful read and one of my favourite series! I would recommend this book to anyone because it is just so good and a real gripper that you can never put down! My favourite characters were the weasley twins, just because they were so funny. You would love this book and the rest of the series if you like the whole fantasy books! Overall this book is the start of the Hogwarts journey and anyone would love it!

I absolutely loved this book because it took me on a journey and its a never put down book. I loved how she made the characters so descriptive and funny. I’ve been into the harry potter series for ages, this one is my favourite because of the way she took me on a journey straight away. Everyone will enjoy this book even if your not so much into fantasy book so I say people 10+, and I rate this book 10/10. I loved the way that harry grows older and smarter as the books go on, my favourite character is malfoy because he is so jealous of harry so he acts all cool. how the begginning starts you will never guess how the end finishes it just keeps changes but it fits perfect. you have just got to try the harry potter series i can guarantee you that you’ll love it

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
I absolutely LOVED this book, the Harry Potter series is probably one my all-time favourite!! I liked this book because J.K Rowling produced a whole different world about wizarding people and in many cases, I always think if it could be real! She truly made me understand the way each character was feeling, and described everything so well, that I thought I was a part of the novel. After reading the first few chapters, I was hooked!! I only recently got into the Harry Potter series, because I don’t usually like reading fantasy books, but I am glad my friend made me read the first few chapters of this novel, because if I hadn’t read Harry Potter, I would have been missing out on a whole lot in my life!! My favourite part in the book was when Harry, Ron and Hermione had just become friends and now they had to get through like a maze of charms and enchantments because this is an adventurous part. My favourite character is Ron, because he is kind of the “nobody” out of the trio because Hermione is super smart and Harry is famous…I like Ron because of his Loyalty to Harry, and he is also very funny! I don’t have a least favourite part in the book, nor would I change any of it, because it is brilliantly written and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the wizarding world at Hogwarts!! I would most certainly recommend this book to others, even if they think they wont enjoy it, they certainly will because I think this book is for any types of people (mainly ages 12+)…so have a go…it might surprise you!! I rate this novel 10/10!

I love the movies of Harry Potter but the books bore me. I started reading the first book and got about 1 third of the way and stopped reading. The movies are great. The books are a waist of time. They take a while to get into the story and the don’t get much better. They aren’t exciting. With the movies they are exciting but the movies aren’t. The plots are good. I would give the book a 2. I would not recommend it.

I love Harry Potter an the Philosopher’s Stone because it has got such an interesting story line with Harry and Voldemort in another body! I love how J.K Rowling thinks of spells and enchantments to make the book more interesting. I have read all the Harry Potter books and the detail in the first book really helps you understand the story. My favourite part of the book is when Harry and Ron meet on the train because it’s funny. My favourite character in the book and movie is Ron Weasly because he is so funny and I love his personality and family! I would recommend this book to 10 and up because if you want to keep going with the series it can get a little tricky to follow!

I loved reading this book because it was really creative and discriptive. JK Rowling is a fantastic writer, and this is such an imaginative book. Out of the whole Harry Potter series,
the first one which really started it all, is one of the best. Throughout the book, it includes action parts, happy parts, sad parts and some funny bits too. So it has a little bit of everything, which I really enjoy. I would give this a rating 10/10 and definitely recommend it for others to read.

This was a great book, it is very descriptive. I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series. It lets your imagination run. After i read this book i wanted to go to Hogwarts. It was very believable but i had to keep telling myself that it was all fake. I reccomend this book to all ages as it was very good 😀

I must say when I first read this book when I was 8 I truly believed I would go to Hogwarts when i was 11. I could not wait for the day were I would go to Hogwarts. This soon became a fairy tale to me when my mother told me its fiction which means NOT REAL! I was devastated but it made me realise how good that author must have been to make my imagination go wild and explore other worlds I had never done so before. I absolutely loved reading this book and I recommend it to the ages of 8-13. Let your imagination go wild!

This is a great start to the Harry Potter series. I love it soooooo much. It is a great book to read because it is fantasy but still really real. J.K Rowling must have had a great imagination to write this great book. The movie was even better. Watching it, I thought I had already seen it, because the book was so descriptive. I rate it a 9999999/10. i recommend it to most people that like fantasy books.

I really enjoyed reading this book, I enjoyed it that much that I didn’t want to stop reading because it is one of those books that you need to know whats going to happen next. I think that it was a great way to start off the J. K. Rowling series. I can now see why the movies are so great but personally I think that the books are better because they describe things more in depth. Also I’m quite sure that some things in the book have been cut out of the movie. I would rate this book 9.5 out of 10 and would recommend it for ages 9 up because of some of the large words used.

I would recommend this book to everyone, young and old, it is a great read and thoroughly enjoyable when curled up on the couch with a hot chocolate! J.K. Rowling writes beautifully and she captures your attention from the very first page. Also, I would recommend reading the book before watching the movie, as the movie can really help with putting the story to the corresponding images, and helps put names to faces too. This book isn’t just for fantasy lovers, I truly believe anyone could enjoy this book, sports lovers, humour lovers and maybe even romance lovers.

I am not a Harry Potter fan but I loved this one, It was a long time ago when I read it but I can remember the favourite parts. I love it when the mail comes by the owls and flies in the fire place. I love it when Ron, Harry and Hermione are on the train to Hogwarts. My favourite character was Ron because he was funny and it took him a few goes to get the magic right. I would recommend it to anyone who is into fantasy and magic because thats exactly what its about.

Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone was written by J.K Rowling, and the first ever Harry Potter book in a 7 book series, obviously the first. It is Harry’s first years at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and to find out more detail, so either read the book or watch the movie. I loved the book because I have always loved Harry Potter and I only saw the movies. Until I read the Philosopher’s Stone, I was so amazed on how different the movie was to the book. There were so many differences that I found out and it was extraordinary! My favourite part of the movie was probably when Harry is battling with Voldermort/ Professor Quirrel, over the Philosopher’s Stone. My favourite characters are Harry because he is strong, thoughtful, smart and talented, Ron because he is so funny when he is scared of everything, very brave in the end while playing giant Wizards Chess, and of course Hermione because she is super, smart, deep in thought and absolutely incredible! Sadly, I can’t really relate to any of the characters other than Hermione because I think we are both very smart, and we think the same. (LOL!!) My least favourite part in the book was probably when, in the movie, Harry is in the Forbidden Forest and approaches Voldermort, because I thought that if the centaur didn’t come, Harry could have died or been in serious danger. If I were J.K Rowling, I wouldn’t want or have to change anything in the book, because I like it just the way it is, the way I read it. I would recommend this book/ movie to any person, because I am positive that they will love Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone movie and/or book, and the rest of the series as well. I think any type of person would love this book/movie, especially people who are into magic, and the make-believe stories. So, my advice would be, watch the movie, read the book, even do both because no matter what, everyone, including you, will and should love Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone, and of course the rest of the book and movie series!!

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K.Rowling is the first book in the seven book Harry Potter series and is necessary to read if you want to understand the other books. It is Harry’s first year of Hogwarts and the year he finds out the truth of his powers. He meets and makes two friends, Hermione and Ron. This is a book of, now well known, quotes such as “It’s Levi-osa not Levio-sa”. You meet the characters and, my favourite, Neville. It is a great book for children ages 8 and up because Harry Potter is a terrific story to grow up with. I give this book 10/10 because I don’t know anyone who can read it and then dislike it. As soon as you read the first page, you will fall in love with this book!

All i can say about this book is that it is absolutely amazing, it is humorous, romantic and best of all magical. The storyline is fantastic and genius sometimes i have to remind myself that it is just a book and wizards and witches do not really exist (i think).
J.K Rowling is such an inspiration to everyone as she really knows how to get you sucked into a book and how to make it exciting with a new problem or adventure at every page turn.
I recommend reading every single Harry Potter book and then watching every single Harry Potter movie as you will be blown away by how good they are.
I have read and seen every movie around 1000 times and i can honestly say i have laughed, smiled, felt nervous, scared and even have had tears streaming down my face at some point.
I recommend this book to everyone over the age of ten because it can be pretty dark and sad at some point but all up it is absolutely amazing and i can read it over and over again.

Harry Potter, It is a classic book that everyone loves.
Harry grew up with a family that didn’t treat him with any respect, then one day he finds out he is a wizard. I love this book! J.K Rowling has made this book so realistic! My favourite character is Hermione Granger because she never addmits she is wrong and thinks she knows everything. I couldn’t critisize the at all because it was all so well written!
It has drama and traces of horror all the way through it. I recomened this book to everyone ages 8-15 and it’s not just a girly book it’s an allround book.

What can I say about Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone? It is an amazing book with lots of excitement, fantasy, humour and most of all, adventure. J.K Rowing is such a creative writer, she’s an inspiration to me and I’m sure to many other people around the world. The storyline is genius and the characters are so real. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think there really was a world of witches and wizards! My favourite character is Ron, he is funny, careless and irresponsible. Ron has a huge heart and would do almost anything for his family and friends. I love Ron most of all because of his great personality and because he always makes me laugh. The book is so enchanting, you start to read and before you know it, you can’t get your head out of it! I could read it again and again and still feel the rush of adrenaline going through me as I turn the page. Through the series I’ve laughed and cried and I guarantee you’ll do the same. Make sure to read this amazing series that has captured the world.

i realy enjoyed reading this book! i started reading the series about a year ago, because even though everyone had said they were great books i never really gave them a chance. until now !
i have seen all the movies , but think that the books are giving me more detail about the story line. my favourite character is hagrid because hes really cute and looks cuddly. hes awesome !

Harry Potter. The novel series of the generation. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was the first novel to start of the world famous series. It introduces us to the world of Hogwarts and of course magic. While Harry finds that there are many things on display about himself that he doesn’t even know, he discovers enemies, loyal friends and of course, his gift of being the only person to ever not die against the killing curse. This book is filled with adventure, friendship, and hope for a better future in his new world.
I recommend it for ages 10+ and I rate it an easy 10/10.

Harry Potter, where to start. It is literally the best book ever! Its exciting interesting and i loove this book so much because its magic 🙂 My favourite crats ron weasley. Hes my favourite because hes really funny and i find him wuite cute 🙂 My favourite part in this book is when they sit on the train and get the whole tray of lollies. 🙂 I really love this book and recommend it for anyone who likes magic, excitement, or if you would like a n age then 11 or 12. and i rate this boook 110 out of 100 😉

this book would probably be one of my favourite books from the harry potter series. My favourite character would be Hagrid because he’s so big and funny, really big. I would love to have a friend like Hagrid because he always look after Harry and has faith in him, he is almost like Harry’s brother and Dumbledore is like Harry’s dad. This book showed the beginnings of friendship. It also showed a lot of loyalty and courage. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes figuring things out. When you have read this book you have to read the rest of the series because Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is only the beginning.

This is a great read about the wondrous adventures of Harry Potter. My favourite part of the book is when Harry is noticed by people he doesn’t know who they are. My favourite character is Ron, his voice breaks in the movie so it is pretty funny. I can’t relate to any of the characters but I do understand what they are feeling. My least favourite part in the book is when they are around all of spiders, it grosses me out. If I could change anything I would make sure Ron’s voice doesn’t break when he is talking. I recommend this book to everyone in sacred heart and anyone else who likes witches and wizards. 🙂

this is my second favourite book out of the harry potter series. i really like this one because you find out who harry potter is and how he became so famous. i also like this book because as harry starts his hogwarts journey you are about to start a journey of reading non stop for days. my favourite character in this book is Hagrid.

I think this book started Harry Potter off very well. The character are great as well as in the movie! I highly recommend this book for just about anyone, most of the people i have heard from greatly enjoyed this book! My favourite character is Dumbledore. I think he is the best in the book that doesn’t make things sound or look fake. This book is one of three of my favourites and after watching this book i thought to myself that i was definitely going to watch and read the following books, which i really enjoyed aswell!

Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is a really great read and brings all the characters into life while you’re reading it.
It has a great story line and is funny as well.
As Harry Potter arrives at the doorstep of the Dursleys household his life is changed forever.
He grows up not knowing anything about who he really is or even where he came from.
As you begin to understand the life of him it gets you sucked in because when Harry realises he is a famous wizard his life is changed even more.
As Harry meets many hurdles and lifechanging situations he realises who is real friends are and who his enemies are.
I would recommend this book to people aged around 12+ so they can fully understand it. I would also rate this book a 8/10 because it is a real read!
I enjoyed this book very much and hope to finish the full series.

I have read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and loved it. I first read it a couple of years ago when I was 9 and was a bit too young to understand the whole thing so I stuck to watching the movie. But a few years on I read again and loved it. It’s the first story in its’ collection and introduces the reader into Harry Potter’s life and how he becomes the great wizard he is famous for being. A terrific book, but only for Twilight-Haters. 10/10!

This book is the first Harry Potter book and it was a really good start to an amazing series. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone is about a young 11 year old boy named Harry Potter. For as long as he could remember he lived with his aunty, uncle and cousin, because his parents were killed, but when a half-giant comes for him to tell him he’s a wizard, his life is turned upside down. He goes to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. He becomes friends with Ron Weasley and Hermiony Granger who both know more about him than he does. He discovers the truth of his parents death and fights the very thing that did it.
I fell in love with this story of how Harry learns to use magic and make posions, so he can become a powerful wizard. This book opened my eyes to the world of magic and I love the whole series. I recommend this book to everyone, its a good read and the story is the most amazing story EVER!!!!!

Yes, because everything is so well explained and detailed but very easy to understand. My favourite part of this book is when Hagrid comes to the little island to get Harry and takes him to Diagon Alley. My favourite character is Ron Weasley, because he is very cute and is very nice to Harry.
I can sort of relate to Hermione Granger, because she always want to be a good student and get good grades.
If I had to think of a part that I hated, I would think of the first chapter. It’s a bit confusing because it is in Harry’s Uncle Vernon’s perspective and then it goes into Harry’s.
All together this is a great book but if you read the first book you’ll want to read them all!

I can safely say that this is the only series of books i can read over and over and not get sick of. They are so intricate, probabaly some of the most intricate books ever written. Every minor character ends up involved in the ending in one way or another and it’s fun to read them back over to pick up all the clues you missed the first time around.
Now unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade you know the story. A boy named Harry Potter is living a normal life until he is told he is a wizard and accepted into a school of magic. There he makes friends with Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger and together they continuously thwart the evil lord Voldemort in his quest for power over the wizarding world.
If you liked the movies but haven’t read the books you’re missing out. There is so much detail in these books that a two hour movie can never contain. So start reading now before the last movie comes out and wrecks the ending. Read the books. If you liked the movie you won’t regret it.

this is the 1st book in JK Rowling enchanting series. Harry an 11 year old boy gets taken to the magical school of hogwarts. at his new home harry learns about his history just as much as the work. in his his first year harry meets many people such as the red haired ron weasley the geeky hermionie granger and hagred the gate keeper. harry also finds out about his arch enemy voldemort who unfortunately tracks him down and tries to kill him him but is not successful thankfully. again harry returns home to his aunt and uncle with a small hope for the future.
