  4. This incredible series of books and movies all teaches the story of family and courage. The famous family of four, two girls and two boys, embark on a journey that put their lives at risk in order to have the people of Narnia safe. We all wonder after watching this movie if we open a wooden cupboard that maybe we can enter into the wonder mythical creatures and indescribable scenery. All the characters from this novel and film demonstrate an enormous amount of courage and teach people to be who they are.

  5. I found this book a really great book to read for someone in late primary school or early high school. The books genre is fantasy, but also covers the adventures of 4 brothers and sisters who move into a very grand house as where they were living is not safe. Its a great book to read if you want to expand your imagination. I wouldn’t choose to read this genre but I had been told that it is a must book to read. Because of the language used in the book, being very different to words we would use in real life sistuations, it expands your vocabulary tremendously. I would rate this book 8/10! The book also has a very deep message.

  6. ‘The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe’ is one of my all time favourite C.S. Lewis stories! I have read and watched it many times. I love this book because it suits all age groups and is adventurous and fun, and once you pick it up, it is hard to put it down! My favourite character is Lucy because even when all seems lost, she always thinks of the positives and has bright ideas. She is always forgiving, for example when her brother Edmund became a traitor and went to the White Witch, she forgave him and when he came back she was glad to see that he was safe again. I love this book/movie so much and I would recommend it to all age groups. I rate it a 10/10.

During a game of Hide and Seek, Lucy hides in a wardrobe. As she backs away from the door, she falls into snow? She meets Mr. Tumnus and soon returns to the house where she goes to tell her siblings. Will they believe her and go into the mystery magical world or will they think she’s crazy and just continue on with their daily lives.

10/10 for this book. LOVED it

  8. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a fantastic story filled with mythical creatures, daring adventures, and 4 curious children who enter the mysterious world of Narnia through a wardrobe. Although this story is fictional, I believe it has more depth and meaning to it. It displays qualities of humanity such as loyalty, trust, and love. It also shows how the evil in mankind can be used as weapons against others. I absolutely love all of the characters, but my favourite characters would be Aslan the Lion, and Mr. Tumnus the Faun. I love Aslan because he is so wise, caring, and loyal. I also love Mr. Tumnus because he too is caring, loyal and kind-hearted. I adore this book because we can relate to it so well, as we all imagined and dreamed about mythical creatures, certainly after you had read the book! It is a really well written story that I will never forget. I recommend this to anyone and everyone, big or small and I rate it a BIG 10/10.

I have always loved The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, from when I read it at the age of 8 and to this day. This is because C.S Lewis’ novel depicts a whole new fantastical world filled with mythical creatures and adventure, in which children will always remember and love, I did. My favourite part of the book/ movie is when all 4 Pevensie children enter the wardrobe together and are amazed for what they are seeing. However, my favourite character is without a doubt, Aslan the lion and true king of Narnia. This is because he is so honest, wise and he’s also a talking lion! Although I can’t relate to any of the characters as it’s fictional, I liked how it was set in the time of World War II therefore understanding how life would have been like back in those days, as I’ve studied it. My least favourite part of the novel and movie is when Jadis the white witch killed Aslan……or did she really? Nevertheless it being thrilling and sad as like I said, he is my favourite character. I wouldn’t change this book at all, due to the memories I have reading it as a child and having enjoyed many novels written by Lewis. I recommend both the novel and movie to anyone but more specifically children due to the fantasy and adventure themes.

‘The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe’ is a really great kids story, I used to read it with my mum before I went to bed. I really love it how there are lots of amazing stories by C.S. Lewis that come after ‘The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe’ so you can keep reading C.S. Lewis’ fantastic adventure stories. This book is about 4 kids, Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter Pevensie. They find a wardrobe that leads to a magical land full of snow where animals can talk. They have been assigned a mission to stop the ‘White Witch’ from taking over ‘Narnia’ from ‘Aslan’ (the lion). I really enjoyed reading this book. I recommend this book for all ages, young and old. I give this book a 10 out of 10.

When she did I would beg her to read me more but she would turn off the light and tell me goodnight. This book is a really, really good read and I definetley reccomend it for both Adults and Children alike. It is non violent and gets you hooked once you open the book. I love Edmund, Lucy, Susan and Peter and I could relate to Lucy, because I like finding things and sometimes when you tell someone something they think that it is absoulote noncense. My favourite bit would be when they all walk through the wardrobe and see Narnia and also see that Lucy was right. I definetley reccomend this for people 8-9+. I swear you will love it!

I loved ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe because it makes you have little visions in your head about what happens as you read. My favourite part of the book was when Lucy fell into the other side of the wardrobe. My favourite character was Lucy because she was my age when I first read the book and she is the one that always visits Narnia. I can relate to Lucy by: I’m her age and I love to discover new things no matter why they are. My least favourite part of the movie was when Susan, Edmund and Peter didn’t believe Lucy when she told them that there was a place called Narnia in the house. To me I wouldn’t change anything about the movie because I like the movie the way it is. I would definitely recommend this to people especially 9+. I think children and adults would be happy to watch this movie. I rate it a 9.5/10

My favourite part of this book is when Lucy first discovers Narnia and she steps out of the wardrobe and into the new world. Of course my favourite character is Lucy because she is a brave, young, caring girl who loves adventures. I recommend this book to others because it is a fantastic story about Peter, Susan, Lucy, Edmund, Mr Tumnas, Aslan and Narnia. This book was very imaginative and there was a new adventure on all of the pages. The ages that would best like this book are probably Grade 5- 9.

The Lion, the Witch and th Wardrobe is one of the BEST books i’ve read. The concept of four children finding a world inside of a wardrobe is so cool! C.S.Lewis did a great job in just letting his imagination run free. A half human, half animal called Mr Tumnus, A Wicked ice witch, magical lands in wardrobes. It goes on and on. I love this book because while you read it captures you and takes you into Narnia. I would recommend it for ages 12 and up because it does get a little confusing sometimes. Happy reading!! 🙂

My favourite part in this book is when all the children go to the beavers house and have dinner. I don’t know why I like that bit I just do!!! My favourite Character is Mr. Beaver because in the movie he is really cute and in the book he helps the children learn about Narnia.
My least favourite character is Edmund because he is really selfish and goes to the white witch even though he heard what she was like.
I would defiantly recommend his book/movie to others because it is really exciting and very descriptive
    I rate tis book 9/10!!!!

  25. I absolutely hated this book! It nearly bored me to death. In the beginning it was very slow to start some real action. It maybe a classic, it maybe a movie, maybe it is all of my friends favourite book of all time but in my opinion i hated it! As much as i like reading sad emotional books this one was too low. I knew what the author was working for in the book as the climax but it just didn’t work. If you’ve seen the movie…leave it at that.

This book follows a young girl, known as Lucy, along with her 3 other siblings. Lucy one day enters a wardrobe in their new, mysterious house, and enters. She finds herself in a white world of snow, Narnia. This book promises suspense and action, and I well consider to be a page turner. Sure, the movie was good, and it followed the book quite well, but that’s no excuse to not read the book and let it gather dust on the LINC’s shelves!

Even if you don’t enjoy the book, perhaps your 10-12 year old cousin will? Or brother, or sister!

One day Lucy hides in a wardrobe. As she moves to the back of the cupboard she discovers herself outside in a cold winter land. Then she meets Mr. Tumnus, a faun. Soon she finds herself drinking tea by the fire. When she returns to the wardrobe and comes out, none of her brother and sisters believe her.
