Dork Diaries is a really good book! I love it!

I still remember the time when I read the book, at that time I was hooked. I love how this book is based at high school because most high schools have popular kids and I like how it is a diary about Nikki’s life and how she feels!

There’s not a lot I can write for this book or I’ll spoil it!

You don’t need to read it in order which is the best!

i loved this book and would definitely recommend it i have read the whole series and it is about a girl who has just moved towns and is having a hard time fitting in at school, to make things worse there is a school queen bee involved Mackenzie hollister who is rich and has never had to work hard in her life for anything as she gets everything she wants, when Nikki starts at her new school everything changes as quickly she finds to friends Chloe and Zoe and they become bffs, nikki also meets a boy, Brandon roberts who nikki finds adorable and she secretly has a huge crush on him, though makenzie does not like this as she also likes him and throughout all the books there is controversy, mean girls and nikki caught up in the middle of it all but with her two friends and others help she quickly overcomes it and learns to accept she is different and to show off her dorkiness, i love nikki’s character as i can easily relate to some of her situations and she has the coolest attitude about it, i would rate this book 9/10 as it is so fun to read and relatable to.

  3. I recommend the book dork diaries. I really enjoyed reading this book and found it quite funny. Even though this book might be for younger age groups it was still an easy read. I could understand all the words and there was some pictures as well. This book is basically a diary of a wimpy kid but just a girl.

This book is about a girl called Nikki. She is a bit of a dork and doesn’t have many friends. She’s always embarrassing herself in front of the school or infront of her enemy mackenzie. With a Dad driving a bug van and an embarrassing, annoying and frustrating sister it’s pretty hard to look cool. Join Nikki as she starts at her new school and tries to make the best impression on everyone, this proves to be harder than expected.

I would recommend this book for 8+. I’m a teenager and it was a very easy read for me but I enjoyed having a book to read that wasn’t very hard. This book has so many different things such as humor and romance. I really enjoyed this and if you read it you will enjoy it just as much as I did. Do yourself a favour and have a little read of this amazing book.

  5. I really love this book as I grew up reading them from when I was about 9 – 12, it truly is so relatable and quite funny. My favourite part is when Niki has to take her sister to the movies because she is baby sitting, I also have a younger sister. My favourite character is ski herself because its great being able to discover her through these series. I hate when all the embracing things happen to Niki I feel very bad for her. I defiantly recommend this book to any girl who is looking for a easy read, this book will have you laughing and cringing making it all around a fantastic book.

I also really like the book because it has a few pictures within it which can make reading more enjoyable! I really enjoyed this book, it was a nice fun book to read. I loved this book and would give it 8/10 as at times it is a bit predictable. I recommend this book to people over 7 year old.

  7. Dork Diaries was one of my favourites when I was growing up through primary school because I wasn’t much of a reader but I found this series so addictive because of the relatability of the main character going through all of her drama including friendship and boy problems to not being able to stand the most mean and popular girl in the school and putting up with all the sticky situations involved with that. Even though this book isn’t like Australian high school, reading this book just put such a good image in my head about being quirky and standing out. Individuality is very important about growing up and I believe Dork Diaries puts a great picture in whoever is reading its head. I would recommend this book for anyone that loves listening about girly high school things and anyone who doesn’t love reading, it is completely and utterly gripping.

Dork diaries was a great read! I loved how the story line went because I could really relate to it. My favourite part is probably when Nikki wins the art competition against Mackenzie unexpectedly. Overall this book is a 9.5/10 because it is a really easy read, but can get a bit much because there are so many books in the series 🙂

  11. Dork diaries is a funny series of books mostly targeted at teens, so for some people in high school it is very relatable. I love how it is an easy read but its entertaining and still has a good story line. The main character Nikki has a tough time in high school, and reading her difficulties is very entertaining and hilarious. I recommend these series to teens who like an easy but entertaining read. I would rate this a 7/10

  13. “Fantastic”, “LOVE”, “so relatable” These are phrases I said from reading this book. I loved reading this book so much ! It was full of juicy drama and gossip and crazy situations that can really relate to a lot of people. Niki is a young teenager going through problems just as we are. We are able to feel for Niki as we go through the pages of Niki’s crazy life and discover more about Niki and her morals and desires to be with a certain guy (Brandon) or to be a popular and rich. Niki has a really annoying sister and no phone which is also one of her top desires. You won’t be able to put down this book and you cannot stop wanting to know what the hilarious problem Niki has to face on the next page. I recommend this book to anyone looking for an easy and funny read.

  16. This book is amazing, when you hold the sparkly book cover, you won’t be able to put it down. The main character is Nikki who comes from Westchester Country day school can not live without her diary who keeps all her secrets, this book is basically based on her diary, thats why it is so good. Nikki’s locker is next to the most popular girl at the school and the leader of the CPP ( cute, cool & popular) group. Thats where all the drama comes from. This would be great for girls around 8-15 who loves drama and a silly romantic. The ending is always great, something happens that she wanted to happen at the start, she just needed to find it. Nikki has two best friends Chloe & Zoey who are both hopeless romantics. She also has a crush Brandon who Mackenzie really likes as well. I would rate this book a 8/10. This book is great!

It gets you drawn into the book and you feel all of her embarrassment, sadness, happiness and everything else along the way. It is like a girl version of diary of a wimpy kid. It perfectly explains what it’s like to grow up in high school, the bullies, friends and crushes. I would recommend this book for many girls in high school/primary school. I rate this series a 6/10

Dork Diaries are a great series. I read them when I was in primary school. Nikki is a fun, loving character who is considering her self a dork, but she loves it. It kind of cliche with the whole ‘mean girl’ thing, which in this case Mackenzie. Over all great book and series!!!

Dork Diaries is interesting book about a teenage girl’s life. This is Nikki, who moves to a new school on her Dad’s Bug extermination contract! Nikki doesn’t want to tell anyone, and just wants to go home! Then she meets Chloe and Zoe, two adorable girls who are terrified-of-balls. Nikki finds herself happy, but of course theres Mackenzie. The school Drama Queen. She purposely makes Nikki’s life miserable. And on top of all this, there’s Brandon, Nikki’s one and only crush
I love how nice and supportive Chloe and Zoe are to Nikki all throughout the series. I loved this book and would give it 9/10. This score because although the book is great, it is a bit predictable. I recommend this series to anyone who loves stories about teenage life!

I also really like the book because it has a few pictures within it which can make reading more enjoyable! I have read about 2-3 books, I loved all of them! It’s like a girl wersion of Diary of a wimpy kid. I rate this book a 10/10!

Dork Dairies is an absolute favourite of mine since year 4. It is basically a girl version of diary of a wimpy kid, about a girl Nicki who goes through issues with friends at school and issues with guys too. This book is her life about surviving high school and her little sister, her embracing family and having a major crush on a guy called Brandon. This is a book is addictive and will make you read all the 7 books out in the series. If you are looking for endless laughs, romance and high school/boy life, I recommend this book to you. Nicki is a total dork with 2 best friends Chloe and Zoe. Read this book to find out more about her life in high school. I recommend this book to girls 9 + and rate it 10/10

  23. This book is like girl version of Diary of a wimpy kid, and i know how popular that book has gotten. This book is about Nicki Maxwell surviving high school, lets just put it… she’s a dork, who has a crush on like the hottest guy on the planet. If you ever read this book I guarantee you’ll fall in love with it just as much as i did! You want something that has romance, humour, adventure? Well your in luck because this book has all of those and much more. You could call me addicted to this, I have all of the series and read them like 100 times. Its funny how even though I read it a lot I never it bored of it. My favourite character would be Nicki. She is really sweet when she wants to be, but really sassy if you piss her off 😂😂😂 If you ever read this book you will not want to put it down! I rate this book 10/10

  24. I read this book in year 4 and I am still in love with the series! Nikki Maxwell has just moved to a new school and is dreading every single minute of it. But that’s not all…there is a whole gang of girls who’s largest intentions are to ruin her life! The horrid Mackenzie (aka killer shark) and her CCP’S (cute, cool and popular) are making Nikki’s hard life even harder, yet all this bad stuff does have a bright side – new wacky bests and a cute crush might just help Nikki make it out alive! I rate this book 10/10!

The main character Nikki is a very dorky girl who is trying her best to get through school the best way she can. One thing that gets in her way the most is Mackenzie, she is a spoiled brat and one of the CCP (Cute Cool Popular) group. Mackenzie always tries to find a way to embarrass Nikki. The one and only thing Nikki and Mackenzie have in common is having a huge crush on this guy named Brandon. Lucky for Nikki she does have some friends who help her take down Mackenzie. Zoey and Chloe. I recommend this book series who likes a bit of drama and humour and revenge. I rate this book series an 8/10!

  27. Dork diaries would have to be one of my favourite books of all time! there are so many things to like about it including:
    The cover
    The set out
    The font
    The story line
    The characters ect ect!

Every single book that comes out in the series is amazing and is so interesting and relatable. The main character Nikki was relatable in so many ways to girls like me. She is relatable to us because she is a dork, she writes in her diary, she has a couple of friends, she has lots of drama to write about. Im sure lots of girls can relate to that.

This book reminds me of Diary of a wimpy kid as it is about a teenager going through hard and fun times and spills it all out on a diary. i am also very interested in Diary of a wimpy kid and i also enjoy the movie.

One thing i would hope for in the future of dork Diaries is that there be a movie. Lots of girls read these books so im sure that lots of girls would want to see the movie.

I recomend this book to a lot of girls who enjoy reading and like the type of genre that is diarys!

  32. I loves reading these books, they were really funny. They are an easy read and have good pictures to go with them. I like the fact that Nikki, the main character, is just a normal girl. Most things that happen to her in these books happen to a lot of us, so I can really relate to the story. Their are sad, strange, happy and funny moments. In the end, things turn out happy for Nikki. It makes me feel like even if a lot of bad things happen and I am feeling down, their is always hope.
Nikki has two best friends, Chloe and Zoe. They help her through EVERYTHING and remind me of my own friends.
This book is written in the same sort of style as the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but they are more girly and full of embarrassing moments, crushes and enemies we can relate to.
I give this book a 9/10, I really enjoyed reading it and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

I liked the way Rachel Renee Russell wrote it using interesting words and phrases. Also all the similes and metaphors like: She is a killer shark in designer clothes and sparkly nail polish. The way she describes everything like being embarrassed with her dad around and trying to do her best but then always failing. I’ve read all of the books in the series and really enjoyed them. Overall I give them a 9/10.

I LOVE THE BOOK DORK DIARIES!!! I’s just like diary of a wimpy kid but the girl version. I like it because i think its a creative book and so funny! The main character is Nikki who is a teen girl who is begins attending her school because of a scholaship her dad got. She meets Zoey and Cloe and they become friends quickly. She also meets a girl named Mackenzie who is the mean girl. Nikki has a crush on Brandon. But so does Mackenzie! But Brandan likes Nikki and dosen’t realize when Mackenzie is trying to flirt with him. It’s a classic high school based book that i would say 10 years and up can read this book, but thats just my opinion.
