The Sound of Music is a much beloved classic that everyone can enjoy. The songs are catchy and the characters are larger than life. We follow Maria, a nun that can’t seem to fit in with her convent. Therefore, she is sent to provide as a nanny to seven children that would rather not have a nanny. She uses unconventional methods to win the children over and a relationship develops with their father, a military man. An underlying theme throughout the movie is the Nazi’s control on Germany. We follow the family as they stick to their beliefs, break them, in Maria’s case, and the film ends very sweetly. Overall, I really enjoyed the film and hope to watch something else like it soon.

This movie is fantastic. Younger people might think it’s outdated, but I implore you to try it nevertheless because you won’t regret it! You’ll be humming the songs for weeks after watching it because it has an amazing plot and soundtrack. I’d give this movie a score of 9 out of 10. A fantastic family-friendly film, for sure.

I absolutely love the sound of music! It is one of my all time favourites! It is such a lovely film with lots of singing and dancing, for the whole family to enjoy.
It is about a girl named Maria who is a Nun, but is always late and a bit naughty. She has to go baby-sit these 7 children who all don’t want a governess and always play tricks on them. Overtime, they develop an unbreakable bond and there is a bit of suspense and action at the end…
I would 100% recommend it to everyone (maybe women more than men though), and rate it a 10/10!

The sound of music is a much loved classic and a must watch for all! I adore this movie with all my heart as it’s full of beautiful scenery, music and drama. It follows the Von Trap family singers after WWII. Their father is a very strict military man and Maria the nun, seizes the opportunity to become their governess. The story is heartwarming and full of love. My favourite part must be when they put on a puppet show for their father. It was such a sweet scene especially when Gretel starts to sing. Warning: It’s a very long movie running at 2hrs and 54mins so do make sure to be prepared. I think it’s a great family film but some might not be intrigued by the straight forward story line.
I rate it 8/10.

The sound of music is an amazing movie. I love every bit of this movie from the singing to the children to all the things they get up to with Maria, it’s just the best. The sound of music is about a young nun Maria who has been sent to the Von Trap family to be their nanny. There are seven children in the family, Liesel, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretel and all of them are such good characters. The children’s mother passed away years ago and they now live with their dad who is quite strict. Maria doesn’t agree with many of the things their father does and she isn’t afraid to let him know. Maria is quite naughty but is so much fun and the children love her. My favourite part of this movie would have to be when they go out for the day in their new outfits made by Maria and sing Do Re Mi in the hills. This is such a fun movie and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a musical, fun movie.

The sound music is such a lovely musical. I’ve watched it countless times, especially with my mum. It’s a great family film. Every song is so very well written and sung. I’ve had them in my head for years. Julie Andrews is so wonderful in this movie, she plays the part of Maria so well. Maria is a nun at the abbey, but the way she acts doesn’t really represent her role very maturely, she is always late. She cares for 7 children and always breaks what the father of the children says is not is allowed
‘my favourite things’ is my favourite song, although they are all good.
10/10 recommend to all audiences

I absolutely love this movie. It may come across as old fashioned to the younger generation but I urge you to give it a go, because you certainly won’t regret it! It has an unforgettable story line and great songs that will leave you singing for weeks after you’ve watched it. I would rate this movie a 9 out of 10! A great family friendly movies for sure.

i absolutely love the sound of music as it is a great movie and so engaging. It is about a lady named Maria who goes and lives with a family. the family’s mother has passed away but the father is still there looking after 7 of his children. She loves all the children and treats them all like her own mother. i definitely think you should read this movie as it is so engaging and i am sure you will like it. This has always been my mum’s favourite movie for its beauty and the meaning of it. I rate it a 10/10. Please go and watch it!

The sound of music is my ultimate favourite movie! It is such a beautiful movie and I absolutely adore all of the Characters. Maria is such a lovely lady and I love how she treats all of the children. I would rate this Movie a 10/10 because there is not one thing I can fault about it

Sound of Music is a lovely movie to watch. It is one of my all time favourites and always makes me feel happy. There are so many songs you can sing along to. A nun called Maria goes to a big house in the country and becomes the nanny to 6 lovely kids. The family’s mother passed away and their father has since been detached from the children. Maria takes them on outings and makes them feel happy slowly winning the father over. My favourite character in this movie is Maria as she is always so happy and sees the good in everything. Sound of Music is a lovely movie that makes you feel happy. I would recommend this movie to everyone.

This has got to be one of the greatest movies of all time! The movie is filled with love, romance, music and comedy! The movie is all about a nanny who goes to a the Von Trapp house to ‘nanny’ the von trapp kids. This movie is based around Maria, played by Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp family singers including Leisel, Gretl, Brigitta, Friedrich, Louisa, Marta and kurt. The reason I loved this movie so much is because the music in the film was absolutely breathtaking and you couldn’t help but sing along to each and every song and wish you had a voice like Maria. I also really loved the plot of the film, I found it really easy to understand and also really hard to look away. My least favourite part was when Maria leaves the von Trapp family because of an unknown and uncomfortable feeling inside her stomach. This movie is such an amazing award winning movie that I would recommend to anyone! I rate is 5/5!!!!

The Sound of Music was a great movie! It full of great songs, scenes and follows a unique storyline. Maria, a nun, is told to leave the convent and govern a family of 7 children and a very strict captain. Through her loving ways, Maria found her way into the hearts of the children and brings music back to their lives. This movie has also been created to a musical which has some brilliant songs (most featured in the movie!). My favourite character was Maria. She is so bright and fun, yet very cautious of others feelings. I recommend this book for the whole family although, the storyline is a bit more serious in the end. I hope you enjoy this movie because I surely did when I watched it! (More than once!) An all-time favourite classic film! 8.5/10!

MUST WATCH FOR EVERYONE!!! So fun and beautiful, I honestly can’t imagine my childhood with out it. I think most would love and enjoy the beautiful music numbers and the sweet story line. The movie follows Governess Maria on her journey that starts out as becoming a nun but changes to falling in love and finding a family. The movie is set just become the second world war in Austria and is also very interesting because of these themes. It is really is a great classic movie and I would rate it 10/10, and will probably go watch it now because its that good.

This movie has been one of my absolute favourites ever since I was young. It follows the story of Maria, a helpless young women trying to be come a nun (played by the Goddess that is Julie Andrews). She is invited to become a governess\nanny figure for the 7 Von Trapp children. The children have always been treated strictly, having to follow orders and stay in line, but when Maria enters the house hold she turns their attitude around. Once resentful towards having a governess to look after them, they begin to love and rely on Maria as she brings music and games back into the household. All of these things had been banned after the death of the children mother leaving there father, Georg Von Trapp alone and unable to care for his children and maintain his job. A bond between himself and Maria forms when she brings song back into his life and children hearts. The sound track is absolutely incredible and has touched thousands of people all over the world. With house hold names like ‘Do a Deer’ and ‘The Hills are Alive’ You will want to watch this over and over again.
This is such a great family movie, full of love, compassion, joy and growth. This is an absolute classic and I recommend it to any one, any age.

the sound of music what a movie it is full of music dancing love caring and much more it makes you wanna get up and dance! i would recommend this movie to be a family movie it’s where you can sit down and enjoy and laugh sing maybe even dance with each other. i love how she is a nun but is always late to everything and she loves to sing and dance and make everything and everyone happy i really enjoyed watching this movie and my first time was the best it made me excited and happy i would rate this movie a 7.5/10

Since a small age, i have always enjoyed the Sound of Music. Always singing along with Maria and the children, this film just makes you feel warm and good inside! It is one of the classics, so you have to have watched it! The movie is loosely based on a true story regarding the Von Trapps, but is slightly changed. Set in Austria, Maria, a novice nun, is sent to Captain Von Trapp to be the governess for his seven children, Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl. These children have gone through several governess’ behaving like naughty and bad children, ever wanting their father’s attention. Through outings to town and time together, the children and Maria bond. She teaches them to sing, and then they can’t stop! Eventually Maria and Captain Von Trapp are married and the whole family is entered into a talent contest, in which they win. The Nazi’s are starting to overtake the country and have asked Captain V.T to take up a position in the Nazi’x naval, but he refuses and the Von Trapp family escape during the talent contest by going to the nunnery and escaping across the mountains into Switzerland. They end up as a happy family and live happily ever after. I love all of the characters, but my favourites have to be Maria, Liesl and Gretl. Suitable for all ages, I recommend the Sound Of Music to everyone and anyone!! A definite 20/10!

I have see this movie a number of times. It is a classic movie and you get to see what it would of been like living in that country. There can be a bit to much singing but you get used to it. It’s a movie about a nun called Maria who goes and is the nanny of 6 kids in a big rich house. The family has no mother but only a father who blows whistles to get his children’s attention. The children are under very strict rules that they follow very seriously until Maria comes. Maria takes them on outings into the town and picnics on beautiful mountains while learning to sing along the way. Then one day the go into a talent show singing and bad people come to do with the fathers work, so the family has to go into the nunnery where Maria came from and hide in the dark corridors very scared . They are safe in the end and they live happily together as a family, Maria, the father and the 6 kids. I recommend the sound of Music for people the age of 5 and over.

The Sound of Music is one of my all time favourite movies. It is a great movie to watch when you are in the mood to sing and dance! It is a really great movie to watch with your family (more mum then dads). I love how she is a nun but is always late but she loved to sing! She always disobeys what the father of the children she is babysitting and takes them out to the world and teachers them how to sing. I really love this movie and I rate it a 9/10

I have seen this movie so many times and I think everyone will enjoy it! My favourite part of the movie was when all the kids and Maria were singing while they were using the puppets. I liked this part because of how cute the little goat puppets and his has been my favourite part for ages! My favourite character is Gretel because she is so cute. I would recommend this movie to anyone because I think everyone would enjoy this movie. I would rate this a 9 out of 10 because it is a classic!

OMG i love this movie I highly recommend it to all people ! I always watched as a kid everyday! mum always tells me how I always use to go outside and pretend I was one of them and always sing and dance around! i love the story line and the movie! My favourite part of the movie is when there in the boat and they all fall out ! haha love thats bit! And the dad is also really scary. 100000 out of 100000

A movie id like to highly recommend is Sound of Music. It is a loverly film. Has a lot of singing involved during the film but i love those types of films. I like the whole outline of the movie and how she is a nun but sure doesn’t act like she is, she is always late and a bit naughty, thats Not what you’d usually see with Nuns. She goes and babysits all these children and always breaks what the father of the children says not to do. She is very naughty. This movie is a great movie but i dont think men would really like it. Its more a females film then men but thats not say men cant watch it and enjoy it. I would rate this book 10 out 10
