  1. Girl Missing is a book I would definitely recommend. The story is thrilling. Reading this book excited me and I love how I felt like I was there watching it all play out. Good books can do that to you. Each character has grown immensely in how they perceived the world and who they were as a person and the experiences like the ones in the book can do that to you. My favourite character would have to be Jam as he was so loyal to Lauren and stood by her side. This book was so interesting and I love it. I would recommend it to kids over 12 and rate it 7.5/10.

This book is great! I couldn’t put it down when I was reading it. It is about a girl called Lauren and her story. She always knew that she was adopted but one day when she’s doing a school project called ‘Who am I?’ she comes across a website of missing kids and sees someone who could be her. She not 100% sure if it is but soon finds out. She then goes on a long adventure to try and find her real family.
My favourite character in this book would be Jam. He is a super supportive friend towards Lauren and is always willing to help her. He does some really awesome things for her and was always thinking of her. I think he would be such a great friend to have.
I would definitely recommend this book. If you like mystery/adventure books this is definitely the one for you.

  4. This nail-biting thriller has to be one of my all time favourites! Based around a teenage girl who was kidnapped from her family at the age of 3 and sold to another. At 14, Lauren heads out to find her true birth family along with her best friend, Jam. Problem is, the leads they have suggest that Lauren is really from America, not England where she grew up, and her parents aren’t about to send her halfway across the world. This means they will have to run away, and as it turns out, Lauren and Jam are not as safe as they might think, with her kidnapper on the loose who will go to extraordinary measures to keep Lauren away from her birth family. The first book to an incredible series. The book is super fast-paced and full of suspenseful plot twist that will leave you fearing for Lauren and Jam’s lives! You will NOT be able to put it down!! I give this book a 9.78/10. Love it!

I love it how after every chapter there is suspense that wants you to go back for more and more. My favourite character was Lauren becauseI loved that sense of hope and persistence she had to find out that missing puzzle in her life… her real family. But at the same time Jam was also my favourite because he showed Lauren his unconditional love to her throughout the book, like he flew across the globe for her! I really recommend this book for people who like to be on edge reading a book and also loves mystery. This book goes down as one of my favourite books i’ve read because it has all the things i like: mystery, some romance and determination. 10/10

    I loved reading Girl Missing.
This book is about Lauren. Lauren is adopted, but her (adoptive) parents won’t tell her anything about her birth parents. This makes Lauren upset. But, one day, Lauren finds something on the internet; it’s a photo of her, on a missing children’s website! With some more research and info, Lauren discovers that things are a bit more complicated than a legal adoption. Are her adoptive parents responsible for kidnapping her? Maybe not, maybe so. All that she knows, is that her kidnappers are still at large, and are willing to do anything to get rid of her……
This book is extremely compelling, and I enjoyed reading it thoroughly. It was a book that constantly left you on cliffhangers. This story is also a bit heartbreaking too. It has a very mysterious air about it, but also covers an interesting and important topic.
    A complete nail-biter that I recommend for ages 12+.
I give this book an 9/10.

This book is about a teenage girl named Lauren. Lauren is adopted and has no idea who her real family is. One day, eager to find out more about her real family, Lauren searches up her name on a missing children website and is taken on an adventure filled with many twists and turns. She finds out that she may have been snatched away from her fmaily as a baby.

Honestly, i wasn’t hooked on this book at the start. It is so up and down, so weird. It starts off pretty bland and boring, but builds to an action packed and heartwarming ending. I absolutely loved the last few chapters. I love the bond between Madison and Lauren, and how in times off stress and pain they are a comfort to one another. Though I do really enjoy the ending, the start is very slow and takes you a few chapters to get into. My favourite character is definitely Madison. She is just so adorable and we are delivered so many heartwarming and cute parts with her, especially the part when she is showing Lauren the photos of her as a baby.

The author has truly managed to keep us on the edge of our seat, excite us, (sometimes bore us), capture our hearts, and been able to write a not all fairytales and rainbows book. She was able to show that there isn’t always sunshine in finding out who you are, and it’s not easy. She has been able to shed light on traumatic situations such as kidnapping and suicide in a tasteful manner. This isn’t always an easy task, and i believe she has done this in a lovely way.

Overall, I actually would recommend this book for people who are interested in mystery and some adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is really a book that can be read by all teens.

She uncovers many mysteries with the help of her friend Jam and travels across the country to venture out into the unknown to receive answers about her past.

Reading the novel ‘Girl Missing’, has not only broadened my vocabulary, but it has taught me to never lose hope, even in difficult times. I have loved all of the chapters in, ‘Girl Missing’, because they have hooked me in right from the beginning, and left me feeling excited or nervous to turn the page to uncover a new secret. ‘Girl Missing’, has certainly been anything but boring. It has been an exciting novel, with some sad moments, but it was very interesting to read about Lauren’s journey and her difficult life.

Overall, the book taught me many lessons, but also made me laugh in certain parts and kept me on the edge of my seat eager to know more. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery and adventure themed books, with a twist of romance and many unexpected turns along the way.

While reading I could barely put the book down but I had to convince myself to stop as I was doing it for lit circles at school, it was so good and has made it into my top 10, this book really interested me considering I don’t really like reading that much. Girl Missing is all about a girl who has always known that she was adopted but one day she has a project for school in English, it’s about her and she soon realises she doesn’t really know about herself and where she came from. this sounds crazy to her but she finds out that there was a possibility of her being kidnapped from an American family, her biological family. When she finally is able to convince the family to take a trip over to America where she plans to run away from them and find her biological parents. This book is about a teenager, Lauren, who knew she was adopted but never knew her real family. No-one had kept any secrets from her, but one day, she decided to look for her true family. This decision sends her on journey into chaos, puzzles, and real danger with her best friend, Jam.

It’s not a book to read if you just want a ‘happy ever after’ adventure, but I would really recommend this book to everyone aged 9 – 14+, I loved this book.

  19. ‘Girl Missing’ was an amazing, adventurous, mysterious, emotional book! There were always ups and downs in every chapter. A new problem that would need to be solved.
Lauren knew she was adopted but it really got thinking when her task was to write an ‘essay’ about her family. The thing is, she didn’t really know her biological family. She didn’t know who her parents were, if he had any siblings, aunts and uncles. She didn’t know any of that.

The whole book was basically about Lauren finding out about her past that she knew nothing about. She did everything she could to get the information she needed (with her best friend Jam alongside her.) For example; she broke an entry at an Adoption agency just to find out that the information she was looking for was not there. This must of broke her heart.
Eventually in the end, she ended up finding her mother and brothers and sisters. Her mother was arrested (which she deserved it.)

My favourite character overall would definitely be Lauren all the way. She is such a smart, intelligent, smart human being! She stops at nothing to get what she wants!
My least favourite character at the end of the book was Lauren’s mother (Soniya.) How dare she hurt that child. I was so glad when she got arrested!

I would recommend this book to all ages and especially those people who like a good adventure and mystery!

  23. I read Girl Missing last year for lit circles, and I found it really enjoyable. It was action packed and although it is fictional I found it realistic enough and quite easy to follow. It is centred around a girl called Lauren who knows that she is adopted, but her parents neglect to tell her who her biological parents are. Because they refuse to tell her Lauren decides to find out for herself, and after doing some researching finds a girl that was reported missing that seems eerily similar to herself. So her and her best friend Jam leave their home to find her family. Jam would have to be my favourite character in this book, as he is really supportive and loyal to Lauren even though she can be a bit rude and quite selfish at times. I think that this book flows really well and I was constantly wondering and changing my mind on if her parents were responsible for kidnapping her which kept me wanting to continue reading.
I would give this book a 9/10 and recommend it to anyone aged 11 +

  25. I really did enjoy reading this book, it was mysterious and at the end of every chapter this book had left me with so many questions and theories, the suspense was unreal. The author of this book, Sophie McKenzie had obvioulsy put a lot of thought and effort into this novel as it was such a well written story, I found it extremely difficult to put this book down, I was dying to continue on reading and finding out more about the mysterious adoption of the main character Lauren Matthews. Speaking of the characters, my favourite was Jam. Jam was such a cheerful and exciting character, Jam seemed to make even the worst parts of the book bareable with his sarcastic yet hilarious humuor. He was the perfect side kick for Lauren, helping her out with all of her missions to finding out her true past.

Lauren really did have a character development. At the beginning of the book, Lauren had tend to shut a lot of people out, especially her parents, she acted as if she was the only one who felt sad and had a problem that brought her pain, she had acted like this through a lot of the book, oblivious to the people in pain around her. She was quite stubborn and self-willed when it came to hatching a plan or even just simply talking to someone. Towards the end of the book, Lauren had begun to open up, she had finally given a lot of different people a chance in trying to help her. Lauren was the best self developed character at the end of Girl missing. My least favourite character was Sonya. Sonya had really frustrated me while reading this book, eveytime Lauren and Jam had discovered a plan to become one step closer to figuring things out, Sonya was always there to spoil that plan.

Over all I really enjoyed reading Girl missing, it was quite mysterious and at some points a frightening book, but in the end happy. I give girl missing a 9/10 and totally recomend that you should read it!

The author does a great job of making you feel like you are experiencing what the characters are going through. There is not one thing I would change about this book, it had a great mix of suspense, action, mystery, twists, friendships and teamwork.

I would recommend this book for young teens looking to develop their reading at the next level. I really loved that there were another 2 books to continue on with once this one was finished. Girl Missing…..

What words can I use to describe Girl Missing…

For a start I could describe is as fun and entertaining, But how does it make that sound entertaining. More descriptive words would be Mystery, Family, Love and Friendship. From the beginning of Girl Missing it reeled me in. Lauren, Jam, Maddie, Sonia, Shelby, Mum, Dad, Annie and Sam the main characters in the book. The events that happen from when Lauren finds the missing page.. to when she finds her identity are shocking, nothing can beat girl missing. It is a love, family and I life changing journey. I guarantee that if you read Girl Missing you will fall in to a black hole full of emotion for all the characters. The black hole is filled up with love, hate, sadness and aggression. There is no way that you can put down this book. I must admit that every now and again there would be that chapter when nothing interesting would happen and it would just be a conversation. But there was no way I would stop for just one chapter would not last long…

I love Girl Missing and I recommend it for everyone

I feel as though Lauren has changed significantly throughout her journey as she has uncovered the truth about her past as well as becoming more courageous and brave. I also believe that Lauren has shown a variety of emotions throughout her journey, yet she hasn’t given up instead she has continued to uncover events of the past. My favourite characters have been Jam, Glane and now Madison. I belive that having Madison as a sister has helped Lauren embrace her birth family. I also think that Madison is an optimistic character, who has come to love Lauren and has welcomed her immensely. Jam and Glane have supported Lauren profoundly and supported every decision she has made. Jam has also been there for Lauren throughout her journey and has helped her overcome any emotional or physical hurdles. I feel as though Lauren has had many difficulties with her birth family, however, she has come to love them. Whilst reading Girl, Missing I believe that it has been detailed and captivating book. I loved reading Girl, Missing as it has been an interesting and captivating book. I would highly recommend this book particularly to those aged 11 and above.

Girl Missing, I loved this book so much! It was really interesting to read and i just couldn’t put it down. Lauren was adopted, to her thats old news, but a recent project got her thinking. The project was ” Who am I?” Lauren, thought about it, who was she? She didn’t even know her real parents. This started a whole chain of events. Jam, Lauren’s best friends help hers through out the book and is just the most loyal, kind and caring best friend there ever is. Jam is a character everyone just falls in love with, I know I did!
This book is just so good and I recommend this book to people who love action, thriller, adventure and romance. I give this a 10/10 I loved it so much!

Wow, I defiantly was not expecting that finish, so intense but so sad. I’m so happy that both of the familys worked something out but then it still again I wish I could jump into the book and just take Laurent to her adoption family. The tension throughout the book was absolutely incredible, this book just lifted me off my seat and I was upset that I had to stop reading as I just wanted to keep reading forever. It was such an up and down book like my emotions got a bit confused sometimes as some parts it was so happy but then again sad and I felt like crying.
I recommend this book to people who likes intense movies and a who likes taking risks that could change your life forever.

  48. I love, love, LOVE Girl Missing!!! Girl missing is thrilling and sometimes leaves you on cliff hangers. I like Lauren as a character in this book because she is not afraid to go after what she wants and when every thing falls apart she learns that she loves what was right in front of her the whole time.

When you are reading the book you can already start to imagine what the characters look like in your head and when reading the scenes it makes reading it better because you can imagine it happening.

I can’t wait to read the other two books I can only imagine that they are just as good as the first one. I completely recommend this book to anyone that is interested.

When Lauren finds this out she instantly wants to find out about her past. Lauren and her best friend Jam go to the complete other side of the continent to get answers. Along the way she comes across situations that are potentially life threatening. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries, dramas or adventure.

  51. Oh My Goodness…I am absolutely in love with this book ! I never ever want to put it down, it is my favorite book ever. I love all of the mysterious questions that haven’t been told yet. One of my favourite part of the book is that whenever one question is answered another question comes into the story. All of the mysteries and lies, make the book so exciting and make you want to keep on reading. Whenever I am up to the chapter where I have to stop reading I almost want to cry. I never ever want to put this book down. I really like Lauren, she’s probably my favourite character. the way that she is so determined to find everything out without even knowing what might happen. That is what I call brave. This book is never boring, there is always something happening. When is say all of the time I really mean all of the time, there is never a part in the book where I get bored and all of the characters make it even better. The personalities are great. All of the characters are a little bit different and sometimes odd but that just makes everything better. The characters are all so important and I personally think that ven if just one of the character was not in the book there would be a part of the book missing. I love everything about this book and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who loves an interesting and mysterious book.

They run into criminals as they find out about Lauran’s parents, and are close to death. But luckily, Jam is there to save the day. If you are looking for a romantic suspense novel, this one is for you. I rate this book a 11/10.
