Mr and Mrs Twit are two ugly, smelly, nasty, stupid people who spend their lives playing nasty tricks on each other.
Mrs Twit, who uses a walking stick, does not like children. They enjoy treating animals with cruelty, by luring birds to glue-smothered trees so that they can be baked into bird pie, and by tormenting their pet monkeys, Muggle-Wump and his family, by getting them to stand upside down, one on top of the other.
One day, the arrival of the Roly-Poly Bird from Africa allows the monkeys and the surviving birds to get the revenge that they have craved for years.

This is one of the funniest books I have ever read! I just can’t believe the crazy things they do to each other, this book will keep you entertained the whole time you are reading this!
it is about 2 adults who want to constantly get back at each other, they pull pranks and try to get rid of each other. They are both completely horrible people, they torture animals, make bird pie and a whole lot of other awful things. Until one day the animals have had enough, they get revenge! I won’t spoil what happens so read this book to find out!!!
I think that this will be good for kids 6-10 as it is an easy read that is funny and entertaining. This book is full of absolutely hilarious, gross and just weird things! it is also so descriptive, This is one of my brothers favorite books, read this book if you want an easy but HILARIOUS read!

I don’t really have a favourite part because as a kid I loved all of it. mr twit was my favourite character because he is so funny and cruel at the same time. I think that the story line is amazing and I just loved it when I was younger. I would recommend this book for 8-10-year-olds and I would rate it a 4/5

My favourite character is probably the roly-poly bird. definitely recommend this book to any fans of Roald Dahl 10/10.

after reading this book, I thought that it was a very funny story. I loved how they were plating pranks on each other! this story really grabbed my attention. when my younger siblings read this they could not stop talking about it. they kept on wanting to read it over and over again!

This is definitely one of my favourite books I have ever read. I could not stop laughing throughout the book. My favourite part of The Twits would have to be the scene with the muggle-wump monkeys and the roly-poly bird I was nearly crying it was that funny.
The Twits is about a husband and wife called Mrs.Twit and Mr.Twit who throughout the book play a whole heap of silly tricks on each other until it goes too far.
I would definitely recommend this book to students in year 2 all the way up to year 8. I could never put The Twits down because there are way too many laughs to read one more time. I have read this book 3 times and could still read it a 4th I love it so much.
My favourite character would be Mr.Twit his attitude was hilarious and his appearance made me cringe. I love the way Roald Dahl describes the characters, you get such a clear image in your mind. I wish there was another book about The Twits called The Twits Return or something because I love the laughs so much.

The Twits is one of my favourite childhood books that I grew up reading. It sends a really positive message about letting happiness shine through you to make you beautiful and it’s whats on the inside that counts. I love how mischievous the birds and monkeys are, especially the Roly-Poly bird. I would recommend this book to everyone of all ages as it is always a great read. I rate it 9/10.

The Twits, written by Roald Dahl, was a very funny book about a husband and wife who played terrible tricks on each other. What I most liked about the book was how creative the tricks were. My favourite character was Mr. Twit because the tricks he played on Mrs. Twit were so mean and funny. I also liked the way the author included animal characters into the book because it made the story more interesting. I recommend this book because it is funny and enjoyable to read. This book can be read by kids aged 6 to 12 because it is a childish sense of humour.

The twits is a very entertaining book! When I read it it made me laugh so much! The reason I think this book is soo entertaining is because Mr and Mrs Twit play lot’s of fun and silly tricks on each other. Throughout the story there are these monkey’s that don’t like Mr and Mrs Twit at all! They drive them crazy. I have enjoyed this book so much and it’s a great book to read on a holiday or on the holiday’s. It just get’s you in such a happy mood.

I love this book so much! it’s so great for a fast read and it’s so funny all of the stupid things they get up to. I think that like mrs twit better then Mr twit because I think that it is so funny when sh3e makes the worm spaghetti! I think that it is terrible how badly mr twit treats the monkeys. If I ever need a laugh I go and find this book because it is so funny. I would defiantly recommend this book to any person of any age because you can never get sick of Roald Dahl! The twits (BOOK) This book is about a couple, Mrs.Twit and Mr.Twit and they can’t stand each other! They are always pulling pranks on each other. They play different pranks like every night Mr.Twit would take of 1cm of Mrs.Twits chair and walking stick so she thought she was shrinking! See what they end up doing to each other. This novel is one of the cutest stories ever while teaching many lessons. The story is about an old couple that are nasty and mean to not only each other however everyone and everything around them. The tricks that Mr and Mrs Twit are absolutely hilarious and make the novel as great as it is. Although on a more serious note, I absolutely loved the part of the story where it says, “A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly.” I loved this so much because even though the story was about horrible people doing horrible things to each other, it teaches the lesson that this is not the way you should be. It glorifies being nice and caring which is the way it should be because then you will be beautiful no matter what. This is a great book about mischief for young children and also teaches many lessons throughout it. I would rate this book a 9 out of 10.

This is a hilarious book that explains how two nasty people, who are supposed to be married to each other, play hideous tricks on one another.
At the age of 60, Mr Twit is a bigger twit than ever before. He has disgusting eating habits and often has food caught in his beard. Rather than wiping the food off his face, he stores it there for a time when he might get a bit hungry! I can’t think of a dirtier person than Mr Twit.
His wife, Mrs Twit, is no better really, she has a terrible habit of beating innocent animals and children with her walking stick. She claims the stick is to help her walk because of the warts on her feet. In actual fact, she uses it to hurt cats, dogs and little children. 😦
A typical Roald Dahl book, The Twits is funny in more ways than one. I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t enjoy this fantastic book. 😀 it was a great read and i rate it 8/10 🙂

The Twits is such a funny book I absolutely love it! I read this book when I was in Primary school and it was so hilarious! I loved how evil the twits were to each other how they put birds in pies and how they had monkeys and they just all do horrible things to each other! They don’t liked children very much and I think Roald Dahl did a really good job writing this book and I think that it is most suitable for ages 6+. I give this book a 9/10

This is a hilarious book written by Ronald Dahl. This is a one book from the many series of Ronald Dahl. Mr Twit and Mrs Twit, are a married couple who can’t stand each other. My favourite part would be when they had a fight with each other a prank fight.it all started when Mrs Twit put worms in Mr Twits spaghetti. He got really mad and decided to get revenge on her so. Every night when Mrs Twit went to sleep he would a 1cm of wood to her walking stick and said she was shrinking! She flipped! Best Book Ever!!!!!!! I Rate this 9/10

This is a very funny book about two old people who like eating bird pie and they seem not to like each other. They have monkeys and they do horrible things to them but they do even worse things to each other. They don’t like children so they put pointy bushes at the front of their house. The Roald Dahl book the Twits is one of my most favourite book from the whole Roald Dahl book series from when I was younger. Even though I wasn’t a very keen reader I really enjoyed reading this book. During the book you find out more information about the twits, they are gross and never shower. Most of the time they are fighting which is from when they play tricks on each other. They especially hate children but the worst part is they have monkeys as pets in their backyard in cages.
I would defiantly recommend this book from ages 9 to probably aged 12, but the book is very funny and it takes you on a fun and feral journey through the twits lives. I rate this book a 9.5 out of 10!

I have read this book about one million times it is that good. Roald Dahl is one of my favourite authors, he doesn’t keep the paragraphs long, he keeps them short but lots of interesting information about what ever he is explaining. The Twits is a funny book and I would recommend this book to all ages that can read!!!

This is one of my favourite childhood books, it was very funny and well written. The Twits were very nasty people, always playing pranks on eachother. Roald Dahl was a great author, keeping his books as short novels. He has shown great detail in the way he has described this two characters as being horrible people. This short novel also has a great message, ‘what goes around comes around’. I rate this book a 9.5/10

i LOVE! the twits it is an amazing book. My favourite bit is when the boys get stuck in the tree. mr twit was my favourite character because he is so funny and cruel at the same time. i did not like it when mr twit tied mrs twit to the balloons and made her stretch. The twits is the best and i wish there was another book come out, also I think that the story line is amazing and I just loved. I loved the way that ‘the twits’ incorporates comity and makes us feel sympathy for mrs twit. I love this book I would definitely recommend it and I give it an 11/10

The twits is a fabulous book it is written by one of my favourite childhood book writer Roald Dahl he is so great and when you read his books they paint a picture in you mind.This book is about two elderly couples Mr and Mrs.twit they are very unusual people they like to make bird pie , Mrs.twit has a glass eye “GROSS” but one day Mr.twit put super glue on a tree branch but 3 meddling kids (boys) sat on the super glue when Mr.twit came back he saw the and was going to make them into a pie but the boys where very smart the glue was only stuck to their pants so they took off their pants and ran away, that always made me laugh. This book is very good its exciting its humours its gross and its a bit weird but i would recommend this book for kids in year 2 or 1 maybe higher. Id give this book a 8.5 out of 10

The Twits by Roald Dahl is a great book. It’s disgusting in a way, exciting, and funny. This book is a great one before bed to crack a few laughs or aaw in disgust! I loved going to bed and reading this for hours on end because I couldn’t put it down. My favourite characters were the monkeys hahaha. This book has a lot of unrealistic situations and is one of those visual books where you visual the situation in your head. I recommend this book to anyone, Adults may not like it as much as the kids but it is still an amazing read. I give it a 9.5 out of 10 I think it is the authors best book!

I love this book! It cracks me up, every time! The twits is a great book that is good for light and funny reading with your family, or even by yourself. I personally love to read this with my dad and my other family members! I reccommend this book to anyone that is in the need of a laugh! I would definitely give this book a rating of 9 out of ten. I liked this book because it was magical and lots of fun! I liked Mr. and Mrs Twist because of their “evilness” and cheekiness! I enjoyed reading about them! I would recommend this book for ages 8-16 because it may be a little bit hard for anyone younger to read and people much older may not enjoy it as much as a non-fictional book. I rate this book and 6/10 because I enjoyed the naughty Mr. and Mrs Twist!

This book will have you rolling on the ground with laughter, it is a hilarious book. This book is full of Mrs and Mr Twit pranking each other and doing evil things. They are very mean to all there pets and they are very unclean. They don’t treat there pet monkey’s very well, and make them stand on their heads. I love at the end when the monkeys get revenge and give the twits a taste of their own medicine.
I recommend this book to you, because its short but funny.

I found this book REALLY funny! I read it when I was younger but I have recently read it and I had forgot how mush I had enjoyed it! My favourite characters were the monkeys. They were so cheeky and I would love to have one of them as a pet! I would rate “The Twits” 5/5 for it’s excellent plot like no other and it’s humor and fun! I would recommend it to people aged 7 up!

the twits was one of the first novels i have read. its about mr and mrs twit and they play lots of tricks on each other and it seems like they hate each other. mr twit has a really long beard and he is really gross because he never has a shower and when he eats all his food gets stuck in his beard and he doesn’t clean it.
i think i would rate it 9 out of 5 because it was a really good book.

The Twits – By Roald Dahl
I recommend The Twits to people of all ages. It is a funny book that is very disgusting at times but a fun book to read.
What I loved about this book was how original the storyline was. How Roald Dahl can make so many great and original books is beyond me. Also the illustrations were great – they portrayed Mr and Mrs Twit fantastically and made the monkeys and birds look so cute.
I would rate this book a 10/10 and think that anyone would enjoy this book.

I thought this book was so funny! It’s about an old hideous couple who play nasty tricks on each other and hate each other. One day the local birds and they’re pet monkeys glue everything off the floor on to the ceiling! When they get home they stand on their heads and shrink! My favourite character was Mr Twit because he kept glueing pieces of wood on to the bottom of Mrs Twit’s walking stick. My favourite part is when they shrink and die. I didn’t like the bit when Mrs Twit puts worms in Mr Twit’s spaghetti because it’ gross! I would recommend this primary school aged kids and anyone who likes disgusting books!

The Twits is about a man and a woman who were… i guess… TWITS!!!! They were awful people, who made wormy spaghetti, taller walking sticks and deliberately made their wife float away in helium balloons!!!
My favourite part was when the circus monkeys escaped from the awful couple and even left them on their heads.

I once read a book called ‘The Twits’ by Roald Dahl, it’s one of my favourite books of all time, I’ve read it so many times I’ve lost count. This book will have you laughing, squirming and it’s just plain evil.
The book is about Mr and Mrs Twit who don’t get along they’re constantly playing cruel jokes on each other, they’re worst than kids. They make real WORM SPAGHETTI, change the length of the walking stick, Mr Twit deliberately made his wife fly away in a helium balloon.
This book is only short but you’ll read it over and over, each time you read it you’ll love it more and more. I rate this book a 10/10. Roald Dahl has really touched many people, I would recommend this book for all ages, it’s a good book for younger kids if they’re just starting to read.

in my opinion this is a fantastic book that is lots of fun. mr and mrs twits are creative lively roald dahl book characters with some really horrible traits. to find there dinner the cover there trees with glue so when the birds land on them they will be traped and made into stew by the awful couple in the end the animals fight back in a rather creative way of there own.this isone fantastic book suitable for all ages even if you think your too old you may still get a laugh out of this fantastic book. really!!! treat yourself with roald dahl he wont let you down

I recommend the book ‘The Twits’ written by Roald Dahl. It is a really funny story about an old sour nasty couple named Mr and Mrs Twit. It is only about a days read with great descriptive pictures illustrated by Quentin Blake. Through a little of the story Mr Twit is fighting against the birds. He is pulling out all the tricks to try and catch the birds for his bird pie. But it just doesn’t seem to work out for Mr Twit because everything he seems to try the birds just top it and get him back time. this is a book for younger readers at the Primary school level. Each chapter has a humerous story about Mr and Mrs twit’s lives. I rate this book a 6/10.

In my opinion best Roald Dahl book ever! This story follows Mr and Mrs Twit, old, vile and rather unpleasant folk and their exploits. They pass time by playing horride tricks on eachother, which get bigger and bigger over time, spiralling out of control. The animals that they are horrid to finally get some payback! I think this book is good for people ages 9-15. It is extremally funny and enjoyable book, suitable for anyone
