this book is soooooo good. i have loved reading the gone series. michael grant is amazing in the way that all the books in this series flow nicley they ease you back into the FAYZ and then boom something will happen and you will be hooked. this book is a medium to fast pace it contains so many aspects but each is so detailed. I absolulty love this book, i think that the characters really develop in this book.
9/10 because of the great characters and intense storyline

Three months has passed since the big poof but nothing is getting easier, the food supply is running low but the kids are not the only thing hungry, something lurks in the darkness waiting for someone or something to feed it.
Hunger by Michael Grant is the second in the Gone series and it is better again, there are more twists and turns and more surprises making it just as addictive as Gone.
I really liked Hunger because I could relate to some of the characters such as Astrid as she struggles to look after her little brother whilst maintaining her relationship with Sam.
My favourite character is still Sam because he is heroic and sounds very hot with the way the author Michael Grant describes him.
My least favourite character is Drake because he is evil and does really bad ans scary things to the children and makes the FAYZ a living hell.
I recommend this book to anyone above the age of 11 but it can be for boy or girl because it has a bit of every genre. Hunger is the second book in the Gone series and like Gone it is very hard to put down and you will get hooked.

Hunger. It has been three months since everyone over the age of fifteen has disappeared and the once distant threat of hunger has come. Kids are starving and will do anything for food. Those with powers turn against the the ‘normals’ – those without powers.
The kids are not the only ones hungry, there creature dwelling in the mine, known as the Darkness. It needs to feed to be freed and it starts to suck kids with powers into its trap.
The Gone series only gets better, hunger following along from Gone really answers question left looming in the previous book. I love this book because it is so well described. The hunger of each child is so clear and the thoughts and problems going through their minds are so understandable.
My favourite part of this book is when Lana (the healer) has the courage and determination to face the darkness. She has her plan to blow up the mine, she resists the Darkness’ needs. But its thoughts and needs become too strong and Lana goes further and further into the mine falling into its trap.
My favourite character changes in this book from Gone, Sam still is one of my favourites, but I really like Brianna. Well its more that I like her power. She can run as fast as a speeding bullet. In this book her power really comes in use in fighting Caine and Drake.
I can relate to Sam in Hunger. I share his is frustration he feels in keeping the town together and trying to find food. I feel this frustration when I try to control my younger brother and sister!!
I would recommend this book to anyone 12+ . This series is amazing I can’t wait to read lies!

I recommend the book Hunger. Its the second book in the Gone series. Hunger is about a town and all people above 15 disappear.. Parents, Teachers, Policemen, Shopkeepers.. All gone for no reason that the kids can explain. The fear explodes into desperation as starvation sets in and the Normals must separate from the Freaks. Discovering that there is a mutated soul, the Gaiaphage tries to escape into someone else body and tries to make her (one of the beloved characters) turn on them. Hunger was definitely a mind blowing book! I didn’t expect much for the second book but boy! It was very exciting and intriguing. The relationship between Lana and the Gaiaphage was very weird but intriguing at the same time. Drake and his snake arm, the power plant.. Little Pete… Sam and Astrid’s ups and downs. The human crew!! :O It was so thrilling! This 600 page book took me a week and a half to read. It did have some sad scenes that I almost cried in! This book would suit any reading gene! It is action, drama, romance, comedy and sadness. I would rate this book 10/10 and suitable for people 11+. Hunger is a must read book!
