The blog for books and movies

For generations, four clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to laws laid down by powerful ancestral clans. But now things are changing: ShadowClan has banished WindClan and is threatening RiverClan and ThunderClan by insisting on hunting rights within their territories.

What’s more, each year the TwoLegs encroach further into the forest, and prey is becoming scarce. A prophecy reveals, “Fire alone can save [the] Clan.” Into this dangerous situation wanders a “kittypet,” a young, bright orange tomcat whose courage earns him, despite objections by some, a place as an apprentice ThunderClan warrior and the new name of Firepaw.

  1. The ‘Warriors’ series is great for anyone who loves cats because pretty much the entire series is about cats and its just brilliant. It’s also great for anyone who loves adventures. I personally loved the first few books and i definitely recommend it for any age above 8. Also Erin Hunter writes other series like survivours, seekers, and the newer one bravlands. I dont think i’ll be finishing all the books anytime soon tho because theres so many great long series to read and since i’ve just started high school this year i’ll have slightly less time to enjoy the books.

the warriors series is the best series of books i have ever read.
I loved this book so much but at the start I was a bit confused and didn’t know who was who , but once you figure things out you can never put it down. i think the only thing wrong with this book is that that it is too short and you can get through it in a blink of an eye. i really love all the descriptive language the author used as it felt like you were there i also love how the perspectives change it makes the book more exiting and you can see the whole story.
this book has made me think differently about animals and what is going on in their heads.
warriors has a great message in it about following your gut and not fitting in. it is easy to relate to and i would rate it a ten out of ten and recommend it to all of those 8+.

This is a fantastic book, and a brilliant thriller for the start of the series. Have you ever wondered what a cat thinks or gets up to during the day? This book definitely shows a great answer to this question. Rusty (or as he is later known, Firepaw) is certainly my favourite character in the series. I love his eagerness and curiosity, and he is always ready to help his friends and clan cats. All the characters in the series have a unique feel and attitude, and the language the author has used makes you feel as if the story is happening around you. If you are into animals, adventure and mystery, I recommend ‘Warriors’ as a series of books.

The text had great description, amazing ways to keep you reading, and gives you a new insight into the secret life of cats. It is good for a lot of ages, but you need to be able to handle battles and a variety of different words. I highly recommend it!

I love the Erin Hunter ‘Warriors’ series and ‘Into the Wild’ is an amazing novel. Rusty a ‘kittypet’ cat lives with his owners but often has dreams when he is beyond his yard fences in the forest hunting mice, free, with the wind blowing through his fur. Eventually Rusty is welcomed into Thunderclan and becomes a warrior apprentice appointed as Firepaw. This book is a great introduction to the series and is action-packed with fighting and courageous deeds. ‘Fire alone will save our clan’ the mysterious prophecy soon opens up to a series of exciting events in the land of wild cats, living amongst four clans, bound by the laws of generations past; with the phenomenally descripted characters of Graypaw, Bluestar and many others. I have a cat of my own and I adore her and reading this great book made me wonder what dreams of the wild may haunt her in her sleep. I love it 10/10!

  7. I used to be obsessed with this series!

I read this one whilst in the car, driving to a holiday, and it was fantastic. I love cats and this book just took me. Soon I had to get the next, then the next, then the next, and soon I’m buying them with my kindle, (Seriously, my kindle is full of all of these) I loved seeing how cats lived in the wild and how the clans were structured, My favourite parts were all the fighting parts, because they were so detailed you could imagine you were there as each character fought. My favourite character is either Bluestar, or Fireheart. They’re both so courageous. In the prologue, there is this special prophecy, “Fire will save our clan.” Even though it’s pretty self explanatory, it’s interesting to see how it turns out.

I would rate this book 9/10, a very awesome read, and once you start one book, you just have to read the rest of the series!

  8. I would like to recomend the book into the wild. It’s the first book in the warriors series by erin hunter. I absolutly loved the book and have read all the other books in the series that the libary has. I loved this book because it never got dull and it was always bring out new problems and betrayals. It also had just as many good things and the balance made it flow really well. the book follows a Kittypet named rusty who very early on in the book becomes a clan cat. He has to earn the clans trust by proving that just because he was born a kittypet he has always had the heart of a warrior. There are some really villinous charecters in the book who are constly causing trouble for the clan. I don’t have a favrite charecter because they are all so unique and speical in threir own ways. It’s an animal type of book centered on cats and if you like to read some thing from an animals perspective you read this book. After reading this book I don’t think I will ever look at a cat the same
way ever agian. my rating is 10 out of 10.

  10. Into the Wild is about a clan and five different clans. This series of books are always very adventurous for me and I just love it. My favourite character who was also the main character his name is called Rusty and he used to be a kittypet (a cat living with a human. He wanted to be a clan cat and decided to join Thunderclan. He as name Firepaw because of his flame red coloured fur and ‘Paw’ means he is an apprentice. In the series of Warriors I is about how Firepaw turns into a Warrior called Fireheart and then one day he became Firestar leader. Of Thunderclan. I would happily rate this book 10 out of 10.

  11. I’ve been reading warriors for about a year now, and ‘Into The Wild’ has to be one of the best. The book portrays emotion that make the reader think about how they themselves would react to a similar situation. The ‘Warriors’ series also makes you think about what may haunt your own family pet in his/her wondrous dreams.

A good point about the book is that it focuses on just how hard it is to fit into an environment with new people(in this case cats) and how hard someone can try to make themselves fit in. As the book follows Rusty from Firepaw, the young apprentice trying to blend in from his previous life to a kittypet, to Fireheart, the courageous warrior who would do anything to protect his clan and the ones he loves, we learn things about the characters(and ourselves) that might help us in the future.

My favourite character would have to be Graystripe, the loveable cheeky tom who becomes Fireheart’s first friend right from the moment the ginger tom, Firepaw, enters the clan. Greypaw was one of the few who accepted Firepaw as a clanmate while others tortured him about his ‘kittypet’ beginnings.

Any person starting at a new school or workplace would be able to relate to this loveable tom, who shows just how hard it is to fit in as the new kid. Anyone suffering from the prospect of bullying, or not fitting in, could find comfort in this book.

Honestly I don’t think I would change anything about the book. The ‘Erins’ have made a very storyline out of the one book, that couldn’t be beaten easily.

I would recommend this book to anyone. With it’s easy-going language and engaging storyline, the book is bound to entice animal lovers everywhere.

Warriors is a magnificent series full of action and adventure(and a little romance.). It’s just so easy to walk past it without a care if you’ve never read it, but once you’ve read it, you’re hooked.

Warriors transports you to the eyes of cats, a topic that most people don’t really care for. This books has a different view on things, humans are not friendly, but dangerous and fearsome, mice are not feared, but preyed on by the everyday cat.

I would recommend it to most ages, but I suggest that those who read have a growing vocabulary. Warriors is a book that defies categories, adding a little bit of everything. This book is a must for animal lovers, and works the imagination to the extreme.

These books are supported by a large fan base, full of fan fiction, pictures and theories. I give this book 4 and a half stars, as I suggest that they could of used a little more adjectives.

My favorite character would have to be Greypaw. I just love his bouncy, carefree, lazy attitude and I love reading about his antics.

If I could change anything about the series, I’d spread out the events towards the end of the series, as there is a cluster of events all happening at the same time. On the other hand, it’s exciting, and you never know what’s happening next.

I recommend this book to everyone who’s looking for the people who are looking for a little change in scenery.

I love the book into the wild and I am currently up to the power of three, out cast. One of my friends recomended them to me and said I would like it so I borrowed it from the linc. I read the book in something like 2 days. I would recommend it to any one who likes a book written from an animals piont of view, a book with lots of small fights all the way through and a bigger one at the end. If you have read any of the gaurdians of ga’hoole books and you liked them I think you should definetly get into warriors.

  17. has anyone looked at there cat and wonder if they have a secret life out of the house, or that some cats would actually escape there humble home to live in a dark forest when the only two ways to find food is to fight for it or to spend up to three weeks finding it, within the safety of your territory, well rusty would, he would trade his home for any thing.

this is a fantastic saga for people who love adventure, cats and a bit of fantasy, myths and legends, or any thing with nine lives. ^^
