After all the terrible things that have happened at Rookwood, Mrs Knight arranges for a school trip to Shady Pines Hotel. But as Scarlet and Ivy discover the local area has quite a shady history. With old church items appearing and valuables of Rookwood students going missing, it appears that the hotel is haunted.

I love this book, because Scarlet and Ivy stand up for what they believe in and investigate further. Definitely recommend it.

  4. It’s the fourth book in the series and Scarlet and Ivy are heading to Shady Pines Hotel for a school trip. Despite the thought of going somewhere new, there happens to be scary story rumours spreading, Church items appearing and disappearing during the night and secrets being hid and then told. There seems to be something haunting the hotel and the rookwood girls are terrified but Scarlet and Ivy are alert and ready to find the culprit behind all of this. I like the two main characters Scarlet and Ivy because they work together to solve problems and know when trouble is occurring.
