The blog for books and movies

Harriet Manners knows more facts than most. She knows that New York is the most populous city in the United States. She knows that its official motto is “Ever Upward”. She knows that 28% of Americans believe we never landed on the moon.

But she knows nothing about modelling in the Big Apple, and how her family will cope with life stateside. Or how to “become a brand”, as the models in New York put it. And, even more importantly, what to do when the big romantic gestures aren’t coming from your boyfriend…

Does geek girl go too far this time?

  1. I recommend Picture Perfect, this book is part of the Geek Girl series by Holly Smale.
This one is about Harriet Manners, a girl who know a lot, just nothing about relationships, friendships and modelling. Harriet’s dad got a job in New York, so her life is turned upside down. With a forgotten 16th Birthday, and no friends nearby, Harriet wants to prove she is grown up, but instead she is misled and misguided to do what she thinks is maybe not right. She does these things in anyway just to show how grown up and confident she is. Everything is not as she expects, but she works it out in the end.
    I give this book a 7/10.
I recommend this book if you like girly things filled with romance.
