The blog for books and movies

The queen has returned.

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past…

She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for her. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.

The fourth volume in the New York Times bestselling series continues Celaena’s epic journey and builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

  1. I really enjoyed the fourth book in the throne of glass series ‘Queen of Shadows’. I like it how in this book, it is done with Celeana accepting her past and her name Aelin Galathynuis. My favourite part of the book is Aelin, Chaol, Rowan and Aedion rescuing Dorian from the king and the Valg demons. I also enjoyed Manon’s repayment to Aelin for saving her life. My favourite character in the book is Aelin, for obvious reasons and Lysandra. I like Lysandra because after making up with Aelin, she is a good friend that Aelin needed after Nehemia’s death. My least favourite part in the book is when we see the story from Dorian’s Valg Demon’s perspective and how he hates Aelin and doesn’t care about anything. If i could change something or add something to the book, I would probably add that Aelin ends up with a Valg demon inside her for a twist in the book. Having Aelins court try to remove the Valg demon from inside Aelin might be interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys magic, fantasy and adventure.
