The blog for books and movies

As Penny starts the school year she’s ready to face the world – alone. Noah has gone off the radar after ending his world tour early and no one, including Penny, knows where he is. So when she accepts Megan’s invitation to visit her performing arts school it seems like an opportunity to make some new friends.

Helping everyone else seems to be the right remedy – Elliot needs her friendship more than ever, and she meets Posey, who she can really help with her stage fright. But is charming Scottish boy Callum the right kind of distraction? And can Penny truly move on when Noah’s shadow seems to haunt her round every corner?

  1. In this book we follow Penny as she goes Solo. She starts setting out on her dream photography career in this book. The title of the book gives it all away; Penny is solo, Noah is nowhere to be seen, no one knows, not even Penny.
This book is all about whether Noah will come back, and if he does, what’s going to happen between him and Penny? It is also about Penny coming true to herself, and proving to herself that she doesn’t need Noah or anyone to cease her anxiety, and that she can do it. Like I said, she gets a start with her photography, and starts finding her true passions, and deciding what she wants to do with her life a bit more.
I give this book (because it does have a good moral that the girl doesn’t need the boy to stand on, and to survive) an 8/10.

Note; this series is a bit heart-breaking at times (if you get stuck in enough), and super happy and romantic at others. It does also contain quite a bit of kissing.

  2. I have loved both the first and second books in the Girl Online series, and I was very excited to read this one. This book is very well written just like the previous ones. This book is about Penny porter and her issues with Noah. Because of their breakup, she decides to focus on other things and try to make new friends. This book really hooked me in, and I loved how it shows the ups and downs of her trying to move on from a not so good event in her life. I recommend this story to anyone who loves a good book that is engaging and relatable, I do recommend though that people read the first and second book before they start the third one because it can be a little bit difficult to understand if you don’t already know what is going on in the story line. Overall I give this book a 9/10

  4. Girl Online: going solo is the third book is the Girl Online series. I would recommend reading this book to anyone but its important to read the other two books before reading this one. This book is about Penny Porter who has to get her life straight again after her huge break up with Noah Flynn an American rock star. Penny diverts all of her attention to photography. The book follows Penny and the problems she encounters after her break up with Noah. This book is really interesting and heart warming. I think all of the books in the series are a really good read and I recommend the series to teenage girls.

  5. Girl online: going solo is part of the Girl Online series and it is my favourite one out of the series. I would recommend not reading this book unless you have read both previous books in the Girl Online series. This book is about Penny Porter who has to reorganize her life after her big break-up with American Rockstar Noah Flynn who disappeared from the public eye. Instead of focussing on her broken apart relationship, Penny dedicates her time to something else she loves dearly: photography. The book is really cute and heart warming. I preferred this book over the others because the book has less drama compared to the others in the series and it focus more on Penny herself. The is a book perfect for teenage girls.

Girl Online On Tour is the 3rd book in the Girl Online series. I liked this book just as much as the first two in the series. This book is about Penny really finds herself and her Ex-boyfriend Noah has disappeared and no one knows where he went. This book very interesting and ver well written. I think that many different types of people would like this book and the first two. I rate this book 8 out of 10.

  7. in my previous post I talked about Girl online 2 and how much I loved it, and after reading Girl Online 3 i though the exact same! Reading that last sentence made me so upset because I knew there was no Girl Online 4 that I could start to read. They are such amazing books and I didn’t want to put any of them down. After the end of the chapter you just want to keep on reading because you HAVE TO know what is going to happen next. I rate this book a 10/10 as well because I absolutely loved every bit of it
