  1. This is a tv series about a murder and 4 girls getting harassed by a mysterious figure called A. It is a mix of horror, drama and also some romance. I am honestly not a huge fan of this series. I used to watch it, but I only got through a few seasons before I got bored of the storyline. I think that this series is great for people who love mystery blockbusters, but for me, it was not my favourite. I would recommend it for anyone from year 7 up. It is a very good show but there are some adult themes involved. I would recommend everyone give this series a go, you might love it, like so many other girls I know, but it definitely wasn’t my favourite.

  2. Pretty little liars, aimed at 13+ is one big book, filled with mystery and leaves you sitting on the edge of the seat thinking about whats going to happen next. I absolutely loved loved loved pretty little liars, after I started reading the first few pages It instantly caught me. My favourite part of the book would of been around when you found out about “A.” My favourite character would of been Hannah, she seems so much like me, kinda oblivious and not know knowing what to do when bad things were happening. If there was anything to change within the novel it would of been to make various A’s, and hint it even more.I love the suspense, the book builds throughout the book, I watched the whole TV series and if your a pretty little liars fan I would definitely highly recommend reading the book! I would rate this book an easy 9/10.

After seeing the series, which instantly captivates you (another thing I would highly recommend to watch) I really wanted to read the book in which the series is based off and how it relates tot he series. I found that I absolutely loved the book and it did great justice to the series. It was very scary and intense and throughout the entire novel/s you were on the edge of your seat. The crazy things they put up with made you continuously wanting to talk and think about it! This is one of my all time favourite book series and I highly recommend it for teenage girls between the ages of 13-19. And give it a 9/10! But is very close to being a 10/10

  5. Pretty Little Liars is an amazing novel filled with drama, mystery and romance. It follows four girls who are threatened by the mysterious ‘A’ after their friend Alison DiLaurentis’ death. I enjoyed reading this book as ti had me hooked from the start waiting to find out who ‘A’ was. From the very first text the girls received it had you hooked and scared. My favourite character in this novel was definitely Aria as she was so sweet and kind. I loved how she was always there for her friends. Pretty Little Liars is a great book and I would recommend it to any teenage girl that likes a bit of drama and mystery.

  8. I really enjoyed reading the novel Pretty Little Liars. It’s a saucy and scandalist novel written about a group of girls, their missions to find A and all the dramas in their lives. I would definitely recommend it for teenagers especially or anyone over the age of 10. It was a very good book that I just couldn’t seem to put down. Pretty Little Liars is also a TV series and I enjoyed that also.

  9. I recommend the novel ‘Pretty Little Liars’ by Sara Shepard.
I have seen the series before so I was already familiar with the storyline of the novel . However whilst reading the novel I was surprised that it went a little off the storyline depicted in the film. I loved how the book explored way more into the lives of Aria, Hanna, Spenser and Emily and their connection to Alison and all their secrets they held with her. This, I believed made the events in the novel oh so much more interesting!

The girls who separated after Alison’s disappearance are forced to reconnect 3 years later when more news of Alison DiLaurentis arises and each girl starts receiving frightening texts from the mysterious ‘A’ threatening them with private secrets from there past and present. Could it be Alison, No, How could it be. Although not all answers are revealed in this book, I loved the suspense, drama and secrets this book built.

If you are a Pretty Little Liar fan and haven’t yet read this book, I would definitely go and do so! I recommend this novel to any teenage girl who love a little bit of drama, mystery and romance! I rate Pretty Little Liars 8/10

  11. Both the PLL books and TV show are amazing!! Aimed at a 13+ audience, PLL is a great book or TV series fro anyone looking for a a bit of adventure, crime, mystery or drama. It is based around 5 girls who find themselves receiving threatening texts and messages, from the friend Alison. The only thing is… Alison is dead. I would HIGHLY recommend this to just about everyone. It will have you captured from the first page.

It is about 5 girls, and one of them goes missing, and her body is later found. There is someone ( called A) who is after them. The show/books are about how the girls juggle school, relationships, drama, and keeping A a secret from their parents.

Pretty Little Liars is a mysterious, exciting and chick novel which is one of my favourites! This book tells the lives of four girls who are being stalked by a mysterious “A” who sends them messages and threats about sharing their deepest secrets to the town of Rosewood. I enjoyed reading the book because it was not only about the lives of 4 girls and their relationships, but also scary and quite mysterious which urged me to continue reading. My favourite part in the novel was just after Alison’s funeral, where the 4 girls had just received their first group text which was really creepy, but it also gave the readers the idea that their would be a follow up book, and it also made me want to read more to find out who “A” was. My favourite character is Spencer because she is intelligent and takes risks to find out who “A” is. Defiantly recommend this book, I would rate it 8/10.

This is the best book and TV show ever. Pretty little liars is about these 5 girls, Alison (the leader of the group), Spencer, Emily, Aria and Hannah having a normal teenager hood when all of a sudden, Alison disappears. When Alison disappears, the girls get suspicious text messages, emails and notes from this mysterious person named -A. Its probably the scariest book and tv show ever. I give the book a 10/10 because it is really detailed and uses a lot of describing words and I give the TV show a 50/50 because its an amazing drama and horror show. My favourite character is Aria because she express her feelings and she is also a great actress. TEAM ARIA!!!

I love the layout of the show because sometimes you get little glances at -A. The team of villains tormenting Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna. So sometimes you know things that the girls don’t and you can try and figure it out. I love this book so much that I would recommend to any and all teenage girl, but on the condition that it is a bit scary.

Both the T.V series and the books are amazing everything is such a mystery you can’t predict anything. Perfect is the first book. Hannah, Aria, Spencer, and Emily are four ex best friends who lost their very best friend three years ago. When Alison went missing the four girls drifted apart, they all found new friends, became new people and Aria moved away. The girls are brought back together when they all start to get texts from an anonymous source who they know as A. A somehow knows all there biggest secrets and is always watching what they do. When A comes into the story the girls lives turn upside down. I definitely recommend these books for any girls aged 12+

There are secrets, twists, turn, surprises and more you will not want to put it down. This book is about five best friends and the leader of their group Alison, goes missing. Three years on, the four girls Hanna, Aria, Emily and Spencer all have secrets that only Alison knew about but then they all get message from ‘A’ who is threatening to ruin their lives by telling everyone their secret… This book is definitely one of my favourite books I rate it 10 stars.

I recommend the book ‘Pretty Little Liars’ by Sara Shepherd. Even though I haven’t actually read the book, I am hooked on the television series and can’t imagine that the book would be much different. I love the series because it’s easy to relate to the girls, their feelings and friendships and it makes you desperate to get your hands onto the next episode. There are so many twists, secrets, catches, mysteries and lies that make up the one big complication and so I have no favourite part of it, as all the episodes and events that occur in it lead to another problem and each and every one of them is important. My favour character in the series would probably be Spencer, because she is the outgoing, sneaky, smart and ambitious. I don’t think I have a least favourite part of the T.V. show, because I always look forward to watching the next episode and after every show I sit back and think to myself ‘Gee, this is a great show’. I would recommend this T.V series to girls 11 and over. I would rate it 10/10 because I seriously don’t think that the producers could improve it any further!

Pretty little liars is the first book of the thrilling series. A series of mystery, secrets and lies.
The first book introduces us to the four girls who are trying to cope with the scary and mysterious death of their best friend Alison Dilaurentis. They start receiving threatening messages from ‘A’, controlling them and making threats to uncover their most kept secrets.
I loved pretty little liars, I first heard about it from my friends who watched the Tv Series, I desperately wanted to read the books after hearing about it! The book is so intriguing in the way it reveals clues bit by bit throughout the book. I love how the book is written, it shows all the separate lives of Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hannah after Ali’s death, you get to know them on a ‘personal’ level and they all hold a part of the story each. My favourite character is Spencer, she is quite a different character compared to the others, and I love how she has so many difficulties with her family. I also find her relationship with her sister a bit funny, how they compete so much to be their parents favourite. Spencer is also the character that is not scared to dig further to find clues to who A is even though its dangerous.
This book is very compelling, and many questions are raised, who is A? How did Alison die? Why are such strange things happening in rosewood? Many questions are unanswered thats why I have become hooked on this series and can’t wait to start the next book!

  26. Pretty Little Liars is an AMAZING series… The television show is FANTASTIC- and the books are great too. As much as I love reading the books of movies or television shows- and this is probably the first time i say this but the TV show is better!!! Its just more descriptive, and it focuses on the main topic more. The Books are really well written, they just don’t stay on the topic- they kind of tell you about everything… and I don’t no about you but… I WANT TOO KNOW ABOUT A… The whole drama and mystery behind just holds so much more suspense in the TV show. The books kind of rush straight into it and there is not as much information- about A. The thing I love most about the series (book and TV) is that its not like “Gossip Girl” or “Glee” its a mystery show about girls for girls- and they have done that incredibly well- Its still got romance and Chick Flicky-Ness, But its based round crime and mystery and it makes you want to read more and more and more and more!

Love the books. Love the TV show! They are both fantastic!

If I could change something in the book, it would probably be to make the introduction smaller, because the introduction to all the girls seemed to take up half the book and I feel that is could have been quicker. I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 13-16 (because it can get scary at times) and to someone who enjoys mystery books. I highly recommend this book because once you start, you get hooked!

Three years ago your best friend disappeared. Now you are getting stalked by the mysterious A. Who is A? How does A know the secrets that only your best friend knew? 3 years after Alison disappeared 4 friends, Spencer, Aria, Hannah and Emily are back as friends but only because they’re getting stalked by A. Will the find out who is A and what it wants? If you have heard of the Pretty Little Lairs t.v show then read these books. My favourite character is Spencer because she is smart but also knows what she wants and knows what is right. My least favourite character is the Cop because he doubts the girls even though they haven’t done much wrong. This series is quite addicting and is perfect for readers who like mysteries and romance. I recommend this book for girls 12+ because some parts can get scary. I give this book a 9/10

So that means i kind of knew what was going on and what happened in the first book, but that does not change the fact that i absolutely love it! I love how they all have their own secret that only Alison knows and that they are all so different but they are still completely alike. My favourite character is probably Aria i don’t really know why but i just absolutely love her. I love how all the characters are all so defined and i love each and every one of them!

What I loved when reading the book was how defined the characters were and their secrets. My favorite character was Aria because I loved where she had been in Europe and I fell in love with her with the way she described it, I thought it showed a side to her that I loved. Also the whole ‘Ezra’ story line I thought was hilarious. Spencer I enjoyed reading about because of how different her life style and personality was compared to mine. I’m dying to read the other books to find out who – A is and more about Alison and the connection they have together. I would definitely recommend this book and I would personally rate it 8/10 because of the plots, comedy, love and suspense that all mix together for a great read. I can’t wait to find out what the next books bring. xx

Upon reading this series I guarantee “A” will cast you under their mysterious spell in desperation to find out their identity and true purpose in the plot. The mysterious ‘A’ is weaved throughout the books with their hints, threats and plots all in the name of Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer’s missing friend Alison. Who is A? What is their purpose? Who killed Alison and why? Will this friendship based on mysteries last? All will be revealed when burrowing into this series. I definitely recommend this book for ages 12 and up!
