The blog for books and movies

At Coral Tree Prep in Los Angeles, who your parents are can make or break you. Case in point:

– As the son of Hollywood royalty, Derek Edwards is pretty much prince of the school–not that he deigns to acknowledge many of his loyal subjects.
– As the daughter of the new principal, Elise Benton isn’t exactly on everyone’s must-sit-next-to-at-lunch list.

When Elise’s beautiful sister catches the eye of the prince’s best friend, Elise gets to spend a lot of time with Derek, making her the envy of every girl on campus. Except she refuses to fall for any of his rare smiles and instead warms up to his enemy, the surprisingly charming social outcast Webster Grant. But in this hilarious tale of fitting in and flirting, not all snubs are undeserved, not all celebrity brats are bratty, and pride and prejudice can get in the way of true love for only so long.

This book was a bit confusing, it is not really about the what the blurb says and I think that some of the stuff that they talk about didn’t mach the blurb and it went on a bit to much but it showed how not to care what people think of you even if they are so famous, this book also shows different relationships like friend ships and the way they work and bf and gf relationships.

  2. I recommend the book ‘Epic Fail’ by Claire Lazebnik. It’s all about these 2 girls who are sisters and they just moved to L.A and are only enrolled in the Private School because the mother is the principle. The oldest sister meets a guy and because the 2 sisters are so close the youngest one hangs out with them, but the guy who has a friend. Turns out they are both sons of famous people. I really like this book because it shows how challenging relationships can be, also including friendships. My favourite character would have to be Elise (younger sister) because she doesn’t care about other people’s opinions about her and she stands up for what she thinks/feels is right. I was shocked at the end of this book due to the fact that it came as a surprise to me so it is really worth reading. It took me 2 days to read this because it is such a good book. This book is a most definite 10/10 and I hope people also read it 🙂
