The blog for books and movies

Imagine that your mother tells you she’s going away. She is going to leave you with relatives you’ve never heard of – and they are members of a strict religious cult. Your name is changed, and you are forced to follow the severe set of social standards set by the cult. There is no television, no radio, no newspaper. No mirrors. You must wear long, modest clothes. You don’t know where your mother is, and you are beginning to question your own identity.

  1. Esther is a book about a girl who is forced to move away from home to some of her relatives house while her mother goes to Africa. these relatives are not very social and don’t do things normally for example, they will pray in the morning for about 2,3 or 4 hours. this does not suit Esthers liking and she is very unhappy there. she gets forced to were the same clothes every day and do different routines. she is a great character and i think she relates to me a bit. i recommend this book if you are into these kind of books. i recommend this for 11+ year olds. you will love this book!
