Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones is waving goodbye to her weeping parents and starting her first day at boarding school. But something is wrong at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies. The headmistress, Miss Grimm, hasn’t been seen for ten years. The prize-winning flowers are gone. And a mysterious stranger is camping in the greenhouse.

Alice-Miranda must complete a series of impossible tests. Can she really beat the meanest, most spoilt girl at school in a solo sailing mission? Could she camp in the forest all on her own for five whole days and nights? Well, of course. This is Alice-Miranda, after all.

I read these books when I was younger and loved them. They are really good for your younger sister. It is so enthralling how she always gets caught up with these mysteries and has to solve them. Alice-Miranda is one of those people who you can’t not learn to love she is so adorable and cute she is like a teddy bear. She is so smart and switched on for a 10 year old it is crazy. It is very fun and a really easy read . Enjoy

This is a great light read, the story so cute and highly enjoyable, I am quite fond of it! Because it really hits home!
I have loved alice-miranda since I was little. I have all 13 books at home and love them dearly.

Alice-miranda Kennington Jones Highton Smith is a tiny, ambitious little 7 and a half year old girl. She is (of course!) my favourite character, so polite, lovely and unique – I have never read about a character just quite like her – She inspires me so much! She was so excited she booked herself into school early. Alice-Miranda loves Winchcesterfield-downsfordvale Academy for Proper Young Ladies, and makes lots of new friends like Milicent Jane McLoughline McTavish McNoughton McGill. But somethings not quite right, alice-miranda has a funny feeling about something. A mysterious stranger is camping in the greenhouse, The famous flowers are missing. And the grumpy headmistress Miss Grimm, hasn’t been seen for a whole ten years!

Then Miss Grimm makes Alice-Miranda try to complete a series of near impossible tests. Can she actually beat the rudest and most spoilt (Not to mention competitive!) girl in the whole school in a sailing mission? Could she really complete a maths test so hard, none of the senior years could complete it? Could she camp in the forest all on her own for five whole days and nights?
Well, of course. This is Alice-Miranda, after all.

Don’t miss on Alice-Miranda’s amazing adventures and wonderful mysteries!!!
    10/10 from me!

  4. Although it is aimed at a younger audience, Alice miranda is the perfect book for some light reading. It is about a 10 year old girl who is energetic, loving, and very smart. However, she always finds herself solving crimes and mysteries. It is great for a 9+ audience and will enthral the reader from the first page.

Cute, ambitious and tiny little Alice-Miranda is the obvious main character in this story! She’s booked herself into school early and can’t wait, but school principal isn’t keen on having her at her school. She finds herself thrown into many adventures but she will always pull through, she’s Alice-Miranda! A cute, enjoyable and adventurous book that will make you want to be her best friend! I recommend it for readers aged 9+. I hope you enjoy it and if you do, why not go on to read the whole series? 9/10!

  6. i love this book so much because the main character alice miranda is so funny how she is always talking about adventure and loves to have fun! i think its really great how she goes to a really snobby private school when she is quite mischievous. I personally enjoyed this book very much and found it very thrilling. my favourite part was when Alice Miranda won the boat race with the Green Emerald. i think Alice Miranda is a good book for those who like an easy read and also for those younger readers who seek a role model. Alice Miranda would be my favourite character because she is so kind and polite and speaks to everyone in a positive way. This book it really good and i love it a lot and is one of my favourite books to read because it is so cute an sweet the way the characters are set and me and my friends all love it. It is the style of book i like to read which is like books set in England with a bit of drama about a girl. Its really fun and cute but at sometimes can get a little boring. It is all about this polite little girl ready to explore the world and achieve her dreams which is inspiring. Its the perfect book to me but i am not sure who it may interest. I do recommend this fabulous book though!
