The blog for books and movies

It’s the last day of school and Frankie Jones is looking down the barrel of a long, hot, boring summer with only her guitar for company until… 1. She gets a surprise chance to go to London. She’s dying to go – except that it will mean seeing her heartbreakingly cute British friend Jack again. Will things take up where they left off? Or can Frankie finally prove she’s over him? OR
2. Her dad invites her on a beach holiday. But when she discovers her dad’s new girlfriend and her daughter Ellie are also coming on their trip, Frankie’s not sure how she feels. Will she get to spend any time with her dad at all? Or will she be expected to hang out with Ellie, her new best frenemy?

  1. I loved reading this book, over and over again to see what ending i would get because it is a choose your own adventure and you get to choose how Frankie Jones spends her summer. My favourite part of this book would easily be when you get to choose where Frankie goes for the holidays either to London with her mum or to the beach withe her dad! If i could change anything i might have longer stories for some because if you choose certain paths to follow sometimes the story doesn’t go for very long but sometimes it goes on and on! If you are a girl aged 12-16 and you really like books with drama, romance and suspense this it the book for you! i give it a 10/10

  2. Choose your own ever after, A hot cold summer by Nova Weetman.
This book is a choose your own path type of book. It is so interesting as you can see the story in lots of different ways. This book has two blurbs for each story you would like to start at. The book you practically get to choose your decisions and theres more you get to choose through the book! These sort of book are a bit more dramatic and surprising, this book I give a 9/10. There are decisions to make throughout the book like, should she go on a holiday with her mum and a boy she used to like or with her dad and his new girlfriend. Once you finish a story, you can go back and read the book again only at a different perspective.
