This movie is a really interesting watch. It really made me realise how easy my life is as these normal teenage lives suddenly became so sad. This was funny, sad and dramatic at the way through. I love how it was really adventurous and there was always a sense of urgency and suspense. The story line of this movie was very intriguing and I couldn’t ever predict it. I loved the character Ellie because she was strong independent and intelligent. She took the lead and was caring towards all of her friends. It was a movie I could watch many times because its full go action and excitement. I recommend this movie to 12 years and up because most ages should enjoy a great experience. 9/10 !!!

I love the movie/book, “Tomorrow when the war began”. It is about how all these teenage friends go on a camp trip for a few days, however when they are coming back there lives change as this war starts and every is locked up. It is a really good movie to watch if you like action, expect i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone under the age of 10, as it has a lot of violent in it. I rate it 10/10

I really enjoyed the movie “Tomorrow when the war began”. The movie is about how ellie and her 6 friends (Corey, Homer,Lee,Robyn, Fi and Kevin) leave home one morning, wave goodbye to their parents and go on a camping trip for a while. But when they came back, their normal lives are about to change forever. Soldiers had came and taken over their little town and they and a few more were the only ones who were not captured. They have to fight to stay alive and try save their little town and even the world. This movie is an astonishing adventure that would have you sitting on the edge of your seat. I would recommend it for anyone who loves a great action/adventure movie

I really enjoyed the movie “Tomorrow when the war began”. It is based on a war in Australia and has been taken over by an enemy army. This isn’t a true story. There is two girls Elle and Corrie who decide to take a few of there friends to a camping trip down deep in the woods called “Hell”, the weekend they decide to go is during a big carnival in their town. When they come back from their trip an enemy army has attacked their town and has their town as hostages. The little group of friends who were only teenagers started fighting the army. Go watch the movie to find out more. I loved this movie and would recommend it to others. I would give it a 9/10!

This movie I have seen over and over again. I likes this movie a lot because majority of the actors were Australian. A group of friends go on a camping trip and when they come back their whole town ha been taken hostage. They try to find what is going on but are seen. They have to run and hide from the soldiers but at the same time think of a plan to fight back. I really loved this movie and can watch it over and over again. It has humour in it but still a lot of action that puts you on the edge of your seat. I would recommend this movie 9/10 only because I really wanted to know what happened after they win their first battle.

This movie is so good because they get a bunch of them together to go camping then while there camping there is a war going on but they dont know until they go down to the show grounds and see all the soldiers with there family they try and save there country by blowing up the bridge and It works they blow up the bridge. I Would like there to be a tomorrow when the war began two because I want to know if Kevin’s girl friend is alive or if she dies, I also would like to know what happens after they blew the bridge up if the Soldiers are coming after them or if they stopped the war. I recommend this movie for people over the age of 12 because it is scary when the soldiers kill people. I rate this movie a 9/10 because I never found out what happend after the bridge blew up or what happend to Kevin’s girl friend.

this is a really sad and heart felt movie it is so sad but it is so brave what the kids do to live this movie has a lot of qualities in it is sad sort of happy and just really sad it is a bit grosem i would not let young children watch this there is a bit of shooting and blood i would say 11 and over i would rate it 8 out of 10.

Tomorrow when the war began is an Australian 2010 drama film. It is very action packed and full of humour. This movie is Great! It is a little bit confusing but when you watch it a few times you begin to understand it. My favourite part of the movie was when they wake up in the middle of the night and notice big jets flying really low to the ground above them. I think this movie was very exciting because we didn’t know what was going to happen next. I recommend this movie to ages 12 and over and I rate this 91/2 out of 10 DEFINITELY.

it was ok. Nothing special if you ask me which people did. Guys were worth watching girls not so much. Story line was inspiring but seen it before. Was not a good adaptation of the novel but acceptable. My friends likes it so some people might it just wasn’t for me. I recommend it for people who enjoy thrilling movies with suspense and teen themes. would rate this movie a 53 out of 100.

I love Tomorrow when the war began it is one of my favourite movies and is a great movie about sacrifice. This movie is a great watch. It is a action packed and thriller movie about a group of teenagers that go camping for the weekend and return back home to a war, It’s about freedom and human rights. My favourite character is the main character Ellie because she is so strong, resilient and caring and extremely brave. She also makes really big sacrifices. My favourite part is when they are camping because there is so many funny parts and I really enjoyed that scene. I would rate this move 10 out of 10 because it’s got everything! Action, thriller, romance and comedy, I would recommend this movie ages 13+, and anyone who likes action, thriller, romance, comedy and inspirational movies. This movie will make you laugh, smile and cry. This movie is one great Aussie film and everyone should go and watch it!

This was a fantastic movie, that I really enjoyed! There was, humour, pace and action. My favourite character is definitely Fifi because she is humorous. I also like Homer as he is hilarious and reminds me of someone I know. My least favourite character is Kevin because he is a selfish and only thinks about protecting himself. I recommend this movie to anyone over the age of 12, as it can be scary at times. Tomorrow When The War Began is about true friendship, bravery, companionship, love and loyalty. It shows that a bunch on teenagers can really make a difference. I rate this a 10/10

This is one of my all time favourite action movies! The storyline of this movie is very creative and very intense. Tomorrow when the war began has the perfect mixture of action and adventure. I would rate this movie a 9/10 and would recommend it to any teenager!

Tomorrow when the war began- I think this movie is the best action movie I have ever seen and I really thought it was all great and I think it really showed us how it used to be in the war they always did it is a different place that is like a show ground or soccer pitch so then people think that something good is on but people get shot and its terrible to see. I really liked the part in the movie when they were driving the big dump truck and they bet them it showed us that no matter what always try. In the end I loved this movie and I rate it 9/10!!!

My favourite character is homer because he shows great courage and bravery when they need it both and he motivates and assures the others that everything will be ok. The movie makes you think about how bad it would be if it actually happened and how everyone would respond to it. I rate this movie 10/10 because i is enjoyable and here is not one moment when you are bored.

I Love this movie. It is probably one of my favourite movies I have watched. It is very interesting and full of action and in general it is just a great movie. It is about a group of teenagers who go to war to fight to stay alive. The actors do a great job in this movie. My favourite characters are definitely Homer and Fifi because they are really funny. I definitely would recommend this to everyone and I would rate it a huge 10 out of 10 !! 🙂

‘Tomorrow when the war began’ is an action packed movie about a group of friends who go camping, and come back to a war. We watch them as they have to make decisions that could go wrong or could save their lives and the town. I love this movie but some of the decisions the actors make irritates me so much! (I know its part of the script but ugh). What also annoys me the ending, like your leaving a window wide open to make a second movie but your not, your killing me here! I rate this movie a 8/10

I have only just recently watched this Goose bump giving Film and i was so thrilled and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I really like this movie because you never know what is going to happen next in the small country town of Wirrawee. For me, my favourite character would have to be Homer because despite the corruption and dangers he is surrounded by, he always looks on the brighter side and makes the audience laugh. My favourite part of the movie was when Robyn, who goes against all that her upbringing has taught her, she shoots the soldiers in order to save her friends. I think this is a key scene in the movie because it is a time where Robyn overcomes all her obligations and fears. I think I can relate to Corrie, because she is intelligent and is also very scared during the movie, and I definitely could not relate to Ellie because I am no where near as brave as she is. My least favourite part of the movie was when Corrie gets shot and we as the viewers do not know what happens to her. If I was to change something in the book I would change the film to be longer. I swear I will absolutely be so shattered if the is not a sequel to this amazing blockbuster……. 10/10

I think this movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I really enjoyed watching it and hope you will to.
My favourite character was Ellie because she never thinks about her self she is always thinking about others. I would recommend this book to kids the ages of 15+ and i would rate this movie a 9/10. If you haven’t watched this movie you must and i bet you will not be able to stop talking about it. This movie is definitely one of my favourites.

This movie is amazing ask anyone else who has seen it and they’ll agree. its such an intense movie and its got you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Its based on a punch of teenagers that went on a camp just before they went back to school and they just wanted to get away from civilisation for a while. They then ended up fighting their way for freedom of their family. it’s such a great movie that will have you hooked all the way through. i love all the characters so much the all have their good traits about them smart, strong, courageous, independent they are really a great bunch of teenagers. i couldnt pin point my favourite part cause its all around amazing i highly recommend you watch it you’ll love it.

I have watched tomorrow when the war began over and over because of its nail biting teeth chattering feel to it. I love it so much because you never know what’s going to happen next. It’s such a great movie and i love it how much they change threw out the film, First they were just teenagers studying for school and complaining about their parents but they become warriors in a way fighting for their freedom. I can’t wait for number 2 to come out because it sucks you in to a different world, a world of heaps of possibilities and mysterious complications.while it’s scary and nerve-racking there are also some really funny bites to it. I rate it 10/10 for it amazing story line.

I have read the book and I think that the movie is better and easier to understand. There are some times in the movie though when it is quite gross.

As I am typing, this movie is playing in my lounge room. I really love this movie! My favourite characters are Homer, Fiona (Fifi) and Ellie. I thought this movie was a bit tragic, about how 7 young teenagers fight for their lives in a war but greatly triumphant and inspiring at the same time! They have SO much courage to fight with little protection and experience but don’t let that stop them! I rate this movie a 9 / 10. I thought it was a great movie but I hope to see a sequel be released soon. The way the movie ended needs to continue. This movie should be viewed by people over the age of 12.

Tomorrow when the war began has been one of my favourite movies i’ve seen for a long time. It is quite sad, yet has a twist of humour added to the mix of events which happen throughout the scenes. It is about seven teenagers from a small Australian country town called Wirrawee – Ellie, Corrie, Homer, Kevin, Lee, Robyn and Fiona who decide to pack a Landrover and go out to the bush they named Hel for a weekend. Cut a long story short, whilst they are gone they don’t even notice that a war has just begun in their small town. Coming back to no one in their houses makes them think about what they have gotten them self into. I would recommend this movie to children 11+. I have rated this movie a 9/10.

This was such a intense and on going movie that would be surprising at any time. I liked this movie because i liked it how the teenagers went on a little camp thing and all the kids that went there had a different personality. Like Homer was so funny, Fifi was very posh and didn’t know what 2 minute noodles were, like Robyn was very catholic but ended up killing someone. But the person who surprised me the most was Ellie i thought at the very start of the movie that she was just going to not be brave and be quiet but by the end of the movie she was such a strong and a great leader to everyone else, Homer changed as well he was a naughty and funny but when they found out they were in a serious situation he took on the role as leader and leaded everyone and made them feel more safe than what they were. I recommend this movie for 12 years old and up because it is quite scary to.

I would recommend the movie ‘Tomorrow when the war began.” I only just saw this movie 2 weeks ago at a friends party for the first time and I loved it. I had heard a lot about the movie, about how great it was and everyone seemed to love it. I had always wanted to see but never actually gotten round to it. I wish I had earlier because it was so good! I loved the action and a bit of humour in there at parts. Even a bit of romance. I loved how the director did it! I loved the effects, the actors and just everything in-between! One thing I would say is that there is no sequel of the movie. It finished like it was going to have another movie and there are more books, so I was a bit disappointed with that but overall it was really good! I rate it 9/10!

I recommend “Tomorrow, When the War Began” to those aged 12+. It is a great movie for both girls and boys that displays the emotions you would have as a eighteen year old about your country being invaded.
My favourite character of the film was Homer. The growth in which he made throughout the movie, despite the movie being set within a very short amount of time, was incredible. At the beginning of the movie, he is a young that gets into HEAPS of trouble. However, when the war begins, his courage, bravery, and kindness shine through. The way in which Homer, Ellie, Kevin, Corrie, Lee, Robyn and Fi deal with the war is truly remarkable (I definitely know I wouldn’t be that brave).
I would rate this film a 10/10 and believe it’s a film worth watching.

This is a great movie to watch if you are into action, war and a bit of romance. I really liked it i wanted to know what happened next and if they were going survive. My favourite part is when they blow up the local bridge so they bad people cant get more supplies in. This is a great movie to watch i defiantly recommend it !!

this movie is absolutely incredible! it will make you cry, scream, laugh and smile all in 2 hours! my favourite character would have to be lee as he is so brave after what happens to him, and of course ellie, as she is just so inspiring, as she is definetely the leader of all of them, and is so supportive and brave too! my favourite part of the movie is when they all come together and plan what they’re going to do, as it makes me feel so happy because i know something good is about to come up! and also another favourite part is when homer finds the snake in their bag and fi runs into the river because she thinks it can’t swim!! i love it when they are just camping and having a good time, as it finally shows a difference from when they are in the war and fighting. i rate the movie a 9.75/10 and would recommend it to people over 11, as it does get very scary and confusing. but overall and amazing movie! 😀

When I first saw this movie I was at my friends house and I was a bit apprehensive about it. I thought that it wasn’t going to be my type of movie, but after a while, my friend and her family managed to convince me to watch it. It was over way too quickly – and I loved every second of it. I think it is good because it can show you just how quickly your whole world could be turned upside down. It isn’t about vampires or wizards – it is about something that could actually happen. By the end of the movie it had me asking the question “What would I do in that situation?”, and can honestly say that I still haven’t decide. I would rate this movie a full 10/10 because I just loved it so much and it was really interesting.

This is such a fantastic movie! I loved every bit of it, and none of it was boring. There was always something action-packed and big happening. I really enjoyed the first part of the movie, before they find out what is happening to their town and when they go camping. It really showed all of the characters personality. But of coarse I also loved when all the action came and they fought against the soldiers, hiding and crawling carefully around. They really did the movie well from the book, and I would definitely highly recommend this to others. I rate it a 10/10

for some reason… normally i don’t enjoy aussie movies.. but this is now one of my favourites!!
this movie has drama (alot!!) and romance. i really loved it how every single character is different. i loved every single character so much, and i thought they acted really well.
this movie was very interesting and i watched it three times in one day!
it made me aware how easily bad things can happen, and gave me a few tips!
i recommend this movie for anyone in year 7 or above because it’s kind of frightening at times.

I love this movie, it makes me want to watch it non stop.
This movie has action romance and drama. While I was watching this movie it was nail bitting. There are lots of different types of characters. I loved the character homer because he was a lot different to the others in the film and he made it exciting and a lot different than other movies. I would recommend this movie for people over the age of 12 because of all the action and explosives. I rate this movie 10/10 😀

This is one of my favourite movies. I enjoyed it so much. I love the action in it; it is different to any movie I have ever seen. I love the story line of this movie and all the characters work really well together. My favourite character is Homer because he’s really funny and he adds a bit of humour to it. I have seen the movie tommorow when the war began and it kept my eyes glued to the screen and I loved every minute of it (well just about). the suspence is insane and I love the hole romantic thing and it seems awesome how they get to hide out away from the world I would love to do that but not in there curcumstances. I like the hole war thing and I really liked the books.
My favourite character is the main girl Ellie she is so strong and resiliant she seems to really like her parents and trys to do her best and seems like a goodie two shoes while still being amazingly out there..
I really like this movie and recommend it to anyone aged 14+

Tomorrow When The War Began is a very intriguing movie. Once you start to watch it, you have to keep watching. I couldn’t even get up to get a drink while I was watching this, it was an amazing movie and I love the characters.
My favourite character is Ellie. She stands up for what she believes in, she is brave and caring.
My favourite scene is when the snake is inside Kevin’s sleeping bag and Ellie tells Homer (who is lifting the sleeping bag with two sticks) to “shake it” and he wiggles his bum and Ellie goes “the bag…Beyonce”, I always laugh at this scene. When Fiona finds out that snakes can swim through water she is horrified that she could have been bitten!
It is sad, funny, cute, intriguing, and full of action. You never know what will happen next with Tomorrow When The War Began.
I recommend this movie to anyone over the age of 11.
I would rate this movie 4 out of 5. It was everything I love in a movie!
I just don’t like the ending… But I am very glad that they are making another movie because I get to see more action!

I think that this movie was awesome and that anyone who watches this movie would really enjoy it. I recommend this book to ages 11 and up. I don’t have a favourite character because they are all great and acted their character really well. I think that because the movie was great, that the book would be awesome!

Based on the novel of the same name Tomorrow When the War began is the story of Ellie and her friends who, one weekend, go on a camping trip down to a place called Hell. Cut of from the outside, down in hell they are oblivious to the War breaking out in Australia. The movie follows Ellie and her friends as they adapt to living in an environment of War, and they learn to fight back.
I read all the books before I saw the movie. Surprisingly, as it isn’t with many movie adaptions of books. These people did it really well. I thought they really brought the book to life and that they didn’t hack it up or change anything too much. The actors did fantastic jobs of their characters, I thought they way they portrayed the book was really good. I rate this movie 10/10, I love it and I really do hope they make a second !.

This movie is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, definatly my favourite movie of all times. I get goosebumps every time I watch it! I cannot wait for number 2 to come out. This movie contains so much passion and emotion and I love how every single character is different 🙂 my favourite character in this movie would have to be Fi because of her sweet, naive attitude. my favourite part in this movie would have to be when they discover their little hometown invaded and their lives change. For me, this is when the movie really begins and the intensity leaves you on the edge of your seat. My least favourite part in this movie would be when Corrie is injured and Kevin devotes himself to saving her-taking them both into the town. This part makes me feel so sad inside and I feel as if i am a character in the movie myself! I highly recommend this movie to people who like modern movies about love, humour, action and friendship. I LOVE this movie and hope that the LINC will have it soon. i rate this movie an 11/10 !! 🙂

My favourite character would have to be Ally because she looks after others and not just herself and she is very brave.
If I could change anything in the movie I would make it go longer because it ended and I just wanted it to go longer because it was such a good movie.
If you are a person who likes movies where your sitting on the edge of your seat and a movie that is funny and sad than this would be a good movie for you.I would also recommend it to ages 9 or 10+

This is a great movie, one of my favourites!! My favourite part of the movie is when the blew up the bridge. I love Ellie’s confidence and determination. I didn’t really like it when it just finished it felt like it was only the middle. I would defiantly recommend it to 10+. I think anyone would like this book!! I cant wait for number 2!!!!!!!!!

WOW!! that’s all I can say!! I loved the books so much, and the movie just captured all the action, excitement and emotion into it. It was exhilarating watching it, with exciting new twists and turns every minute. Although sometimes movies miss bits from the book, the director has included everything, and that is why it’s an excellent movie. (The book is more descriptive and exciting again though.) I love Ellie, because of the fire in her eyes and in her heart. She never puts herself first, and in terrible times of danger she looks out for others. She is so determined and funny and ready for anything. She’s amazing, just like the movie and book. I can’t wait for number 2!! I would recommend it to anyone. It’s just an amazing, action packed, funny thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, and when it finishes you’ll just want to watch more. A++++++ film – one of my favourites.

This is by far my favorite movie. I have read the books so it l knew the storyline and it is great they have included so much from the book. This movie is about 7 teenagers, Ellie, Homer, Corrie, Kevin, Fi, Lee and Robyn who decide to kill some time in the Summer holidays and instead of going to the Australia day show they skip in and go camping at a place called Hell. They spend the weekend there but when they get home they realise they are right in the middle of a war, their country has been invaded. Hell is the only safe place for them now. The fight to survive, to take back their land. This movie has some incredibly funny scenes as well as some incredibly serious scenes too.
Tomorrow When The War Began is about true friendship, bravery, companionship, love and loyalty. It shows that a bunch on teenagers can really make a difference. I would rate this movie 1000000000000 it is fantastic and the actors did a great job portraying the different characters! 🙂

one of the reasons i love this movie so much is because it doesnt leave out anything. as i have read the series, i wasnt really looking forward to the movie as i am one of those people that sit there going “thats not right! that didnt happen like that! they missed that part….” etc. but surprisingly enough i couldnt pick out anything that they missed! a great movie but an even better book!

What an intense movie. I just loved it and after reading the book, I felt so connected to the characters. I love fi as she is so brave but at the same time lady like and intelligent. She is such an amazing person and is very self controlled and relaxed about it all- or so it seems. I loved it with all my heart and was just about holding my breath for the entire movie. I cannot wait for the second movie to come out. I just love the story line- basically everything about the movie and the books- they are just great and John Marsden is such a fantastic and descriptive writer. This is my all time favorite movie and I would suggest it to everyone in the entire universe. I LOVED it.

This was a fantastic movie, there was pace, humour and action.
The characters were played well, I think the actors chosen for the roles embraced the character as they should’ve. It was a fantastic movie, though at some times it was sad and made you want to cry, other times it had you on the edge of your seat!
I recommend anyone to see this it’s a fantastic movie, and the best part it’s not something to do with vampires 🙂

I loved this movie , its great . I love the dog in this movie. I found it funny in some parts which made me happier because of how sad the movie was in parts. The saddest part was when they went to the show ground and they saw there family and friends surrounded by soldiers , the bit I hated the most was when the man stepped out and sad I am sick of this and they shot him in the head. But i loved this movie and it was very interesting.

This movie is a great watch. It is a thriller, happy and sad all in one. I cried , laughed and sat there in utter curiosity through watching this movie. Its all about freedom and human rights. I really enjoyed it and i would recommend this movie to anyone who likes inspirational movies.
