The blog for books and movies

Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Rowe is not the kind of person who believes in ghosts. A Halloween dare at her ridiculously spooky boarding school is no big deal, especially when her best friend Naya and cute local boy Caine agree to join in too. They are ordered to summon the legendary ghost of ‘Bloody Mary’: say her name five times in front of a candlelit mirror, and she shall appear… But, surprise surprise, nothing happens. Or does it?

Next morning, Bobbie finds a message on her bathroom mirror… five days… but what does it mean? And who left it there? Things get increasingly weird and more terrifying for Bobbie and Naya, until it becomes all too clear that Bloody Mary was indeed called from the afterlife that night, and she is definitely not a friendly ghost. Bobbie, Naya and Caine are now in a race against time before their five days are up and Mary comes for them, as she has come for countless others before…

this book is so good in a creepy twisted way. It tells the story of Bloody Mary coming after Bobbie and her friends. this book demonstrates a lot of great leadership and trust.
I remember reading this book at the start of the year and I still remember what happened and who all the characters were. This book is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who isn’t easily scared or loves a bit of HORROR. this book has so many twists and turns you can’t predict what is going to happen. If you put this book down I can guarantee that you pick it back up and finish it, it is that good. this book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I rate this book a 8.5/10 for its intriguing storyline.

  2. This is a creepy book full of twists and turns. I was really gripped as there was almost always something interesting going on. This book is like an interpretation of the ‘Bloody Mary” story. It says that Mary Worthington, of Piper’s Hall school is Bloody Mary. One night, a girl named Sadie tells a scary story. Sadie then dares the main character, Bobbie and her best friend Naya, to call Bloody Mary in front of a mirror in their school. A few boys had come along to join in the fun as it was Halloween. One boy who is also Bobby’s new crush, Caine, joins Bobby and Naya to call Bloody Mary. They recite the words but practically nothing happens that they can see. Later on, Bobby finds signs that she eventually realises are from Mary. Bobby, Naya and Caine must stop Bloody Mary, as it seems she wants to kill them.
