During the end of his life when he growing old Arthur decides to build a sail boat for his daughter Allie. This book takes you on a fun exciting adventure out onto the sea, it is really sad but i recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it
this book was good but i didnt really enjoy it because it was easy to tell what was going to happen in the end and the book went on and on and it got a bit boring. I think many people would enjoy this book. It is about a young boy called Arthur Hobhouse who is trying to find his sister Kitty. he is sent to a farm where he is face with a man who hurts the children and is very violent. I think this book is ok and i reccamend it for children or young teens. He escapes on a horse because he doesnt like life at the farm. His friend died and he was very sad. After he escaped he thought the aboriginal tribe would take him back to the farm but an aboriginal took him back to her house and he looked after some of the animals there. As her grows up his wife Zita and his daughter allie begin the search to help him find his sister who he thinks exists because he remembers her giving him the key that is around his neck. Unfortunately hedoesnt get to see his sister but his daughter tells Kitty all about him and his search to find her and how he rembered the song London Bridge is falling down
Michael Morpurgo has a way of making sad books, take Alone On A Wide Wide Sea for example, if you need a cry and a lesson then best read a book by Michael.
